I finished this project, I’m not sure what the other commenters who are saying that it didn’t work for them but it worked perfectly for me. I love it, thank you for this pattern!
THANK YOU❤️ i love the yarn , the easy to follow pattern and the finished look. Even though the weather is super warm , I’m going to start making these cardigans now
Have just come across this pattern. I am a knitter but watching the video, your instruction was very clear. I have saved the pattern, and would one day hope to accomplish making this. Thanks for sharing.
Huge THANK YOU!! CLEAR instructions, no distractions, and a clear voice. Gorgeous choice of yarn - But! I understand it does not wash well - anyone have experience with how it turns out?! I would like to make this cardi - but am concerned anout how it will last with this yarn
Finished it! Thanks so much! Only took me about a week. I made the sleeves with less rows and the back with about 6 more rows than the 2 fronts added together to leave room for my neck. Added about 3 rows of sc to the front all the way around and put in 2 buttonholes. I'll post a pic on Instagram in the next couple of days.
The 6 rows for my neck were not enough and now my shoulder seams roll to the back. The front ends up shorter than the back and looks sloppy. 😑 I don't understand writing a pattern with the front panels joining at the center back. All this work! So frustrating
@@lorizuanich maybe do another round around the trim and try some decreases in the loose areas? I would start with like every 6 stitches, and see how it goes from there, adjust up or down to get desired affect, and/or do more rows decreasing more if desired
@@lorizuanich I started but ended up choosing another pattern. But I did have the same issue with the other cardigan I made after this one! I ended up going back & frogging the back panel and leaving more stitches (removing some decreases), then rejoining. It was a pain but very worth it!!!
Omg You are a genius :o I have been looking and trying to think of an easy way to achieve the rimed parts on cardigans. And they way You have done it is so simple and amazing at the same time. Will be using this a lot now :) thank You so much :)
I have a SH*T ton of chenille yarn that I want to use, so I decided that I would make a cardigan. Imagine my surprise when the first UA-cam search result is for a cardigan pattern that shares my name! I'm DEFINITELY making this now. It's fate!
I just finished making this and these are my thoughts: Edit: I've been wearing this for a couple of weeks now and I find that the holes get very annoying. So beware if you don't like holes in your cardigan! 1) LOVED the pattern. Beautiful and simple. I believe this is definitely beginner friendly. 2) it does require a lot stitch counting but great way to learn to always count your stitch. I made a mistake on the back and found out after I had finished making all the parts! Haha... 3) Definitely make a gauge first and try out the pattern seperately. It took me until the back panel to get the right flow going and then my front panel and back panel came out different sizes...lol front panels were much looser then the back panel. 4) the neck portion seemed funky to me but I made it anyways and it falls perfectly around the neck. I'm not sure what hocus pocus that was but not leaving any gap didn't make a difference. 5) the sleeves are HUGE...! But I'm assuming that's how it's supposed to be. Lol they just felt very big.. Overall I'm still happy I made this. The yarn is soft and beautiful and as my second ever crochet project I thought this was a great learning experience. The tutorial on here was very helpful and the written pattern was worth the couple of bucks. I will definitely try to make another one when the yarn goes on sale! Lol
I just realised that theres no hole for the neck when its stitched up so I’m reading comments to see if anyones had an issue with this, thanks for mentioning it as it really helps. I’m halfway through and don’t want to give up now.
Do you always start with a chain of 79, no matter the size? Edit: Got an answer from the creator. Yes. It is always 79 starting chain no matter the size. 😊

Such a beautiful pattern! I have just one question. Too make it longer you add rows but to make it bigger, what do we do. It only shows the chaining stitches in one size only. Thank you.
This comment was 2 years ago but looking on the website there's a chart. The repeat is 2 panels (1 panel of hdc and one of hdc and ch1? It looks like those both together is 24 stitches if I didn't miscount. So maybe you could increase length by chaining an extra 24 stitches?
Can I do the sleeves thinner? I want the cardigan a normal size on the body but I don't want baggy sleeves, this will be my first ever item of clothing so i'm not sure about changing things in a pattern
Beautiful cardigan. I've seen the writen pattern on the blog but i dont get how it looks on the back side of neck and collar. Just the opening of two front panels form the collar? Or you leave some stitches free on the back. ? Thank you
@@chrissieclips3209 Just finished the cardigan. @Sue W girl the whole cardi turned super oversized and is worming super bad. Should’ve went down two needle sizes. It turned out super bad. Great idea tho I might try again later when I have the will to frog it and try again or idk lol
I'm fairly new to crochet but want to make this cardigan. I would like this to be a bit longer (30" instead of 27") and the pattern says, "You can increase or decrease the length of your cardigan by adding more stitches at the beginning or end of your rows in the ‘Front Panels’ and ‘Back Panel’ sections (every 2.89 stitches adds approximately 1 extra inch of length)". The pattern and video are based on chaining 79 stitches at the beginning; to add length, is this where I would add stitches (say, chaining 88 at the beginning) and if so, how do I adjust the remaining stitches in row 2 since my chain is now longer than in the pattern? Do I simply slip stitch those extra 9 stitches since it's the bottom of the cardigan? Thanks!
