I am in love with this pattern! I'm making it for my granddaughter now and plan to buy the adult size pattern so I can make one for myself as well! I have learned so much from you and your wonderful patterns. Thank you for sharing your talents!
Hi, I love your cardi, its gorgeous. I am making one for myself without the curf edging. I don't quite understand how to work the stitching for my 2xL size. Thank you so much. 🙏
Very nice sweater! I used Vellux yarn on a hat and cowl. While the look is “to die for”, it is difficult to manage. The vellux is so thick and squishy that it’s impossible to see stitches. You just have to feel with your fingers. It’s not fun, but it’s doable. Thank you for the lovely sweater. My previous experience with velour yarn hasn’t put me off of such cardigans.
Can this be made with regular yarn and have it turn out? I am not a fan of velvet yarn at all! Can you suggest any other yarn that is easily taken care of rather than have an awful mess after first wash!
Hi Laura! I would suggest either Red Heart Hygge or Bernat Softee Chunky would also work great! You could also use Caron Latte Cakes or Red Heart With Love Chunky.
@@HeartHookHome thank you very, much for the reply to my question; it is much appreciated as I love that pattern just not the yarn!! I will write down your suggestions and look for them!
I don't know how well that would work. You could try finding gauge with a bulky weight and then switch to a worsted weight, go down a hook size and up a pattern size and see how that works, but no guarantees.
Hi! The adult size pattern can be purchased from Ravelry, Etsy, or on the Heart Hook Home website hearthookhome.com/product/velvet-cardi-crochet-pattern/
Thank you soooooo much. I wish I could cash app u at the least if we can send you a dollar that would add up. I'm serious. I don't make a whole lot,I clean houses for a living and in my spare time I crochet and it absolutely gives me joy so I'd love to donate a dollar to plant that seed for God to bless me/ us with more. Honestly i wish i could afford to donate 50$,its all about God🙏🏾🙌🏾🌞🌺☕☕
I think I’m hdc2tog wrong for years.....I notice you only yarn over before putting your hook in for the first HDc in the hdc2tog and you don’t yarn over before doing the second one of the 2.........I yarn over before both times leaving 5 on my hook, you have 4 on yours. Hmmmm..... been doing it wrong for so long :(
What I see you doing is a HDc , leaving those loops on your hook, then NOT yarning over just inserting your hook like a sc and pulling through the HDc and sc?...... I’m super confused now
Barb I’ve always done hdc2tog as you’ve described with 5 loops left on hook before pulling through all the loops. I searched a few videos and unfortunately I’ve found as many that yarn over before the second stitch and many who don’t. I’d stick with the one that your used to.
@@bubbatisme5774 That threw me off too. When I googled it, I too saw 2 different ways people were doing it. so I just picked one, I chose the one that included no second yarn over, meaning pulling through 4 loops to finish.
I loved the design ❤❤

You definitely need one for yourself! Enjoy!
This looks quite lovely and warm for a January cardigan. I may try it soon. :)

Hi, how many skein used in this project? Also, need to know how much skein will be used for 3 years old?
You did an excellent job with this tutorial (and pattern, of course)! Thank you. 😊
You're welcome Joy!
How did you tie on a new skein with this slick yarn?
I wish my edges looked like yours. The left edge is nice and straight but my right edge is always bumpy. Any suggestion?
How many chains for a sixe 3XL?
I'm now working on the cuff but I need help, I did not know how I add a new yarn to my row?
Just a question : how many skeins do I need for an adult size ? TIA !!! 🤗
This was a nice tutorial. Thanks!
You're welcome!

Hi,I want to know can this pattern be done in regular worsted weight yarn and come out right

What is your crochet size ? 8mm ???
I may have missed it but how many skeins does it take for the toddler size? Thanks!
It's barely over 1 skein.
It's a good cardigan, but lol i can't afford to buy the adult sie pattern plus i dont know that size would help me to make it for a four years girl
What is your crochet hook size ?
😭 I did a double crochet stitch. 😭😭😭
It's too late I'm not changing it I'll just have to live with it. Next one I'll do it right!
That is so cute!
Beautiful!!!
I need to know how many stitches in starting row and the rest for a large size plz .
Hi! The adult size pattern can be purchased from Ravelry, Etsy, or on the Heart Hook Home website hearthookhome.com/product/velvet-cardi-crochet-pattern/
Looks beautiful.. But Is it easy with the velvet effect yarn to crochet?.
It's not so bad. Here check this out. hearthookhome.com/tips-for-working-with-bernat-velvet-yarn/
This yarn is so pretty but I have tried to work with it before and find it difficult to crochet with because it's hard to see the stitches with it.
How do I knit this pattern
Can I know for what size you make it?
In the video I'm making a 2/3T size, but the picture I'm wearing a large.
@@HeartHookHome thank you so much for your reply.
Bellissimo .Puoi tradurlo in italiano .Grazie mile
Can you use worsted weight yarn for this
I wouldn't recommend it. I think it would probably be way too holey if you did.
Ok is their any other kind of yarn that can be used instead of velvet?
@@MelodyE24 any other bulky weight/size 5 yarn should work as long as you're able to meet gauge with it.
@@HeartHookHome thank you
how much velvet wool this dress?
This pattern uses 720-1350 yards depending on size being make (small-5xl)
