I completely agree with you! I was born in 1962. I must have played this song at least 100 times back in 1974. This song is from my childhood and the memories are so vivid with this song growing up on the beach. The 1970’s had the best music! Those were the days. God bless💜✝️☮️💜
All three lead singers, but Chuck had more range and power than most any singer, past or present. How he lived as long as he did was miraculous, more women, booze and drugs than any dozen rockers combined 😅👌
I adore this song. I have a memory to it that is burned in my heart to the point i can FEEL the 70's when i play this song. It will also be one of my funeral songs. Since i will be dead that day, I want someone to play it for me one last time. Back in the early 70s this song was in the air, everywhere. My big sister was riding her bike in our front yard but got a flat tire and couldnt stop so she stretched out her hand and it got cut on the fence. My other sister began singing this sing to her in a mocking way. My other sister just laughing..I know it sounds cruel but we were all kids. So my sister who cut her hand hated this song all her life. But to me it was just a glorious song because the carnival music.. Now that im a Boomer, it simply brings back a day when all my sisters were alive..It wasnt until recently did i learn that Leo Sayer wrote it. His performance of this with the Muppets was brilliant. I love Leo sayer so much. His love songs were such a part of my beautiful high school days. This song is brilliant Life is almost over for me but this gives me such happiness still. God life was so gorgeous back the. Everyone, in a much younger America, all living under the Golden Rule. That was all we needed.

Baby, although I chose this lonely life It seems it's strangling me now All the wild men, big cigars, gigantic cars They're all laughing at me now Oh, I've been used (ooh-ooh) I've been a fool, oh, what a fool I broke all the rules, oh yeah But I must let the show go on Baby, there's an enormous crowd of people They're all after my blood I wish maybe they'd tear down the walls of this theater Let me out, let me out Oh, I'm so blind, oh, I'm blind I wasted time, wasted, wasted, wasted time Walking on a wire, oh, high wire But I must let the show go on Oh, I'm so blind, oh, I'm blind I wasted time, wasted, wasted all too much time Walking on a wire, oh, high wire But I must let the show go on Baby, I wish you'd help me escape Help me get away Leave me outside my address Far away from this masquerade 'Cause I've been blind, oh, so blind I wasted time, wasted, wasted all too much time Walking on a wire, high wire But I must let the show go I must let the show go I must let the show go on
Such a great song written by Leo Sayer. I love both his and Three Dog Night’s versions.
I listen to this song daily so it stays in my timeline
Love Cory Wells suit here, my favorite TDN Rip 🙏 Cory
Heard this on the oldies radio station the other day, and can’t get it out of my head. Reminds me of my childhood. Love 3DN!

@@michaelcschmittHave you heard the original written by Leo Sayer? The live version is incredible.

@@Katsem yup. Leo and the Muppets version is brilliant..what a musical genius Leo is.
Never heard this song till a few months ago. I can say Chuck’s vocals only got better from the 1973 version. Powerful 4 octave vocal range!
One of the best songs ever
You need to get out more.
Original and i.m.o.better version by Leo Sayer.
This is the tempo of the original. Why some videos speed it up is incomprehensible.
They speeed it up so they can squeeze it to make room for advertisements...😑
It came out a few weeks before i graduated high school in 74. BIG THREE DOG NIGHT FAN!!!

3DN needs to be in the Hall of Fame!
Seriously. I think it's because they didn't write their own songs, and were the best cover band ever. They still deserve a spot.

Love Cory's bad ass yellow suit!
Baby, although I chose this lonely life
It seems it's strangling me now
All the wild men, big cigars, gigantic cars
They're all laughing at me now
Oh, I've been used (ooh-ooh)
I've been a fool, oh, what a fool
I broke all the rules, oh yeah
But I must let the show go on
Baby, there's an enormous crowd of people
They're all after my blood
I wish maybe they'd tear down the walls of this theater
Let me out, let me out
Oh, I'm so blind, oh, I'm blind
I wasted time, wasted, wasted, wasted time
Walking on a wire, oh, high wire
But I must let the show go on
Oh, I'm so blind, oh, I'm blind
I wasted time, wasted, wasted all too much time
Walking on a wire, oh, high wire
But I must let the show go on
Baby, I wish you'd help me escape
Help me get away
Leave me outside my address
Far away from this masquerade
'Cause I've been blind, oh, so blind
I wasted time, wasted, wasted all too much time
Walking on a wire, high wire
But I must let the show go
I must let the show go
I must let the show go on

Their all laughing at the lie....is the line.

Charles Negron was an awesome singer and ahead of his time

A masterpiece. My favorite 3 Dog Night song
One of my favorites too. What about I never dreamed you would leave in summer? Pieces of April was our prom theme in high school.

Great 70s video!
This is one song is one of my favorites songs from them and the other is the song (One) Are my Top 2 but their are many more Hit songs they do as Well
Leo Sayer song 1973😊
Chuck had the best hair helmet and Porn stache in the 70’s only Buck Dharma of Blue Oyster Cult may have been better.
My newest ear 🐛 song
Reminds me of my ex..lol
This is 3 Dog Night on their way out of fame. Ruined a great band.
Great song❤
Composer: Július Fucik (Checoslovakia). 1905.
R.I.P Floyd
RIP Floyd, Joe Shermie, Jimmy Greenspoon, and Cory Wells.
Better version with Leo slayer
This isn't Leo Sayer. Not even close. No heart.
He was saying Leo wrote the song. TDN made it a hit
Straining me naw
КЛАСС!!!
Nice lip syncing
Is it possible that this song is about drug addiction? Charles had a terrible addiction and it almost killed him!
No, this is written by Leo Sayer for himself, when he was doing his sad clown character. Three Dog Night is just doing a cover of that.
Los psycho circus
Leo Sayer did it MUCH better.
Nah....
@@charlesbronson4282 why use ellipses if they aren't necessary?

Great Band, Great Song. So-so lip syncing.
