Three Dogs Night' Eli Comming, is one of those songs from the Vietnam War and Hippie Era, that has the ability to grab you no matter your age; seeing this video amazed me with their vocal range. A great band to listen while we waited for our draft notice; #57.
In November 1969, covers of 3 Laura Nyro songs were at 1,2, and 10 on Billboard: Wedding Bell Blues by The Fifth Dimension (1), And When I Die by Blood Sweat and Tears (2) and Eli's Comin. Nyro was a teen when she wrote all 3 songs. Genius singer/songwriter. Nyro "probably influenced more successful songwriters than anyone" Elton John, 2007.
