man i wish this were officially licensed. this is one of the coolest levels ever. the concept of all the underground channels is clever. and this is the best music i have heard so far.
This truly feels like it belongs alongside the others. You're doing a phenomenal job. I wonder if Nintendo is gonna do a 30th anniversary celebration for DKC, where the original trilogy is packaged in one along with the release of a new game.
Whyyy did i never know about this. My god, so much love went into this. Music was one of the BEST things from the original, I'm so glad they spent a lot of time crafting these tunes
This feels just like the good old days, especially the music; it feels just like something which David Wise would make and matches the jungle/forest background well... Well done!
+ Having platform challenges that don't punish you severely at the start for failing is good for beginning stages and explaining new mechanics. - It's hard to tell which spots are walls and platforms. - In the original trilogy, there are often transitions both in and out of the bonus rooms. They rarely pop in from nowhere. - When making hidden areas, there should be a hint that something is there. Random leaps of faith are not fun.
You're right, there are some problems even with the level design, some of the ones you suggested are because of the camera that still wasn't as responsive as the original games. The part where the bonus comes back suddenly is when the bonus is accessed through a crack in the wall, this happens a few times in DKC2
I think if SNES had more years to shine Rareware wolud made the Project Treasure with Donkey Kong Graphics and not one DKC 4, and with all of this we would lose Banjo-Kazzoie because Banjo came from that canceled RPG game

My Donkey Kong Country 4 would have been a New Orleans /Swamp theme. Swanky and Funky are at a casino when all the other Kongs get captured so you play as them. One level is a Kremling themed Mardi Gras parade and there are casino bonus games. K Rool has a crocodile skull mask and is into voodoo now. He has voodoo dolls of all the Kongs and uses them to his advantage. Instead of rat enemies you would have possums. Also, there are good Kremlings that help you out along the way. That’s just off the top of my head

This is going to sound like BS, and I don't blame anyone for thinking that... but my one and only complaint with these levels is the insane mixture of enemies from the three different games. Some of the enemy placement/themes make sense... others dont... I think they should stick to 3-4 enemy types per custom map to help adhere to a more cohesive theme. Just my bs take from someone who has never designed a custom map in these games before😅

This would of been the Unofficial Sonic Mania for the DKC series. A game made by talented fans except Nintendo would unfortunately never accept this because Sega does what Nintendon't... sometimes. The day Nintendo finally accepts fan made projects in the year 20XX is going to be a special one.
This is absolutely amazing. Is this an original song? Coz it sounds just like something Wise'd do. DKC4 should've been a N64 game (2D), instead, they gave us that BS called DK64. Btw, the trilogy is still untouchable, no other 2D game will ever beat it.
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it. The soundtrack was composed by Rodrigo Boechat, he is a professional musician and also reminds me a lot of David Wise's style.
The entire game engine was developed from scratch by the DKC4 team, unfortunately there is no possibility of porting it to SNES, it was made in Clickteam Fusion for PC

No caso deste fã game, sinto que todas as fases parecem serem as mesmas, exceto pela estética.
