One thing to bear in mind is that as the battery gets depleted the voltage goes down and thus the (lift) power goes down, affecting the payload capacity. If you want to actually move something, it's best to test at a very low charge to ensure your drone doesn't plummet before reaching the destination.
What is the MSL altitude there? Humidity? That bucket is also acting as a down-drag parachute from the prop wash. Flying a single tied weight instead of the parachute bucket would increase cargo lift capacity.
Do you think the travel height and distance is affected by the payload? I wonder if I could deliver a pizza with box which would be about 400 grams to friends in the near area, let's say 1-2 kilometers and needed height will be about 50 meters max.
@@DroneSurf Do you carry a payload every day? I wear out the bearings when motors get hot doing it 3 times a day with a payload. If the mavic 3 can carry more weight with less wear on the motors I may upgrade.
44S for 4% battery lost with 538g, so 1100s for its theory max distance, 550s if you want it go home, maybe flying higher make the loss more rapidly...
@@DroneSurf fpv drones can lift something like factor 3 of their own weight etc. more aggressive props and stronger motors (and less body parts, too), but this is why battery last much less.
@@DroneSurf I think he meant you have bucket of water, i.e. 3 kg, on the scale, showing 3 kg, then you pull up with the drone and see how the weight displayed on the scale changed. That will directly show the pulling capacity of the mavic3
Or attach a digital hanging type scale(they have a loop or hook at the top, and a hook at the bottom) to something fixed or very heavy on the ground, to the drone via a string or fishing line on the top side of the scale. They're dirt cheap, and accurate. These can sometimes also be set to record the maximum weight(or lift in this case)

Maybe it would be helpful to use weights that are held tightly to the frame. I feel like that would yield more accurate results.
This helped me a lot for a project when deciding which drone will suit it. Thank you!!
The air 2’s can carry 1.8 lbs for anyone wondering ..
Can it carry it around the hood? 👀👀
Or just lift it up
Dji fpv at 3.8lbs

Thanks for creating and posting this very interesting test 😊
Thanks for subscribing and commenting !!

Sand or water would give you more exact number and propably longer cable would limit the shaking(you can weight the bucket with the cable inside).
What’s that telemetry bar?
Greetings, what application do you use for this test?
Do you have some info to share regarding where and how you connect the lifting wire? Center of Gravity etc.?
Thanks!
This is the only video I’ve seen with this information.
Can you please do the same test for Air 2S or Air 2?

So, all of this in 'sport' mode which does or doesn't allow for real time video feed?
The blades pushed down the open bucket and created a pushing down effect, Try different tools!
My thoughts exactly!
Edit: May as well have a parachute inverted under the drone.
How do you get that title bar at the bottom of your screen?
I have created a template for Dashware. Dashware is free. Check in my videos, I explain how to use them.
You can pickup slightly more with the stealth platinum props
Where can one buy those?
I was thinking of attaching an insta360 one inch ..
How much can a m30 pull outside spec sheet?
great test..
I think you captured something unidentified flying in the sky to the left of mavic 3 around 5:35 time mark, very small.
bird
So the Mavic 3 can lift a dji mini
Can lift 3 of them probably.
how did you get thetelemetry?
With Dashware
How hot did the motors get after the tests?
On hot days my air 2s motors get really hot carrying just 292grams
@@SaintOlav They are still working flawless.

Thanks for this. Would want to see flying distances as a function of added weight

👌👌👌
Nice
Thats like lifting over 3 mini 2s at once strong drone the mavic 3 😁👌👍🇬🇧
The DJI mini 2 can lift his own weight and some extra grams. That’s is really impressive.

You just gotta put a bucket of water on some scales and weigh how much it lifts. Easy.
I did it preview the video and was around 198g. I forgot to include that in the video. I did weigh everything at the end.

There is 2 eagle in your airspace, report them to FAA !!!
They have their serial numbers tatooed at their tails, did you not remark?
That’s 3 bottle of water to save someone’s life .. just in case
has the transponder, they catch you
Tu vas flingué tes moteurs...
mavic 2 max lift 1137 gram
I need to remade the test since the bucket can influence the lifting preventing the trust from going straight down.
had u ever thought these drones will be used to blow up god knows how many russian tanks?
Oh yeah, but for drone delivery one would need a drop down system as described here. ua-cam.com/video/RvMYyQgpaMM/v-deo.html
👌👌👌👌🌹
You can fly drugs across the boarder nice
Not me. That was not the intention.
