If you want to use waypoint routing in medium to small places with obstacles, you must use a drone with RTK capabilities. From a moment to other and GNSS signal noise, there’s always a considerable positioning drift.
I own a mavic 3 (twin lens), a mavic 3 enterprise and the maciv 3 pro.... I dont notice much if any difference in sound nor do I notice a "significant" shorter flight time.... very slight maybe. Switching between cameras is quick, I have it set up so when I click C2 it changes and it changes quick. Color...update the drone to the newest firmware. Its a great drone and the only thing I like better is my M300 (H20T). The mini 3 pro is a full blown consumer drone. Most professionals who are buying something like the mavic 3 pro arent using it for a portrait mode camera but if you need portrait mode.... they have an option on the mavic 3 to frame it as such.
This is a genuine review! You are the only youtuber who emphasizes the delay of switching the camera from 1x, 3x, 7x.. It's just like they're living in an era. The 7x also, has no d-log which is sucks in color grading. The noise of the motor. You're awesome bro.. I subscribed! --From Philippines, a DJI AIR 2S owner.
Thanks!! an amazing comprehensive video. Yes, GPS in the mavic 3pro is a normal GPS, and those have up to 2-meter error. To get centimeter precision, you need the support of RTK systems. You can get the RTK in the Mavic 3 Enterprise RTK or the Inspire 3.
I have been flying the MAVIC mini 3 pro and the MAVIC 3 Pro and there are not comparisons between those. One is focused for consumers (Traveling etc) the other is a more professional drone for photography and videos (That explains the 3 cameras). MAVIC 3 Pro is an amazing drone, I love it. The performance in windy conditions is simply awesome. You can’t compare a Mini 3 pro with a MAVIC 3 Pro. It smells to me that you are disappointed with DJI due to your guarantee claim has not been attended or your lack of understanding of the limitations on the visual system Vision in certain circumstances and your lack of attention during the drone flight that caused the EPIC Crash as you named. I didn’t see it as spectacular. Hope DJI help you to get repaired or replaced your drone and then test again the best awesome features of MAVIC 3 Pro further.
All the drone need to be registered in Taiwan and if you want to fly any drone above 250g need to get drone certification. And drone not allow to be operated at night, can not be used within 30m of building, population area, major infrastructure ex. highway, metro, HS railway,....etc. If you want to do all the thing above, need to apply permit, otherwise, drone operator can be fined for approx. USD 2000 to USD 10K... so we envy you guys.

Yes you did, great review, now with the mini 4 pro out it’s an easy choice, even a second hand mavic 3 classic is good option too, can be bought for half price of mavic 3 pro
Editing tip again, I realize this is a trend across a lot of your videos, but your mouth is not in sync with the audio. Is this intentional? It's most videos I watch where your mouth does not appear to be saying the words I'm hearing. Don't edit with BT earbuds as there's about a 100ms delay.
Hi, great video! I am still curious about what exactly happened when it crashed. Was it flying to the starting point and then crashed into a tree? How come the sensors didn't stop it? There was a prominent foliage visible yet it proceeded forward.
I think he flew in lowlight condition so the sensor did not work. The same problem appeared in all dji drones. It's normal. If you want to rely on obstacle avoidance, don't fly in low light condition
Ignore other asnwer. He explained that the Waypoints mission he saved played back with some inaccuracy. This is expected as GPS positioning is only accurate to .5 meters and he recorded a route close to a tree. On playback it hit the tree.
The first answer is valid. The Mavic 3 will not fly a waypoint mission if the light is too low. It uses GPS and the sensors as well. As the Mavic gets near the tree the light level is less and sensors will not work.
I crashed mavic 3 and it was pilot error .I was trying out sport mode and doing 44mph when it hit a tree branch and came to rest in bushes .The drone body ,arms , motors as well as the camera still function but the gimbal is toast.I had to send it to Holland because non of the uk repair shops have any spares .If they come back with a big repair bill then ill get them to send it back to me unrepaired and just attach the camera so its fixed with no gimbal or sell it for parts on ebay .
for the waypoints it is critical (from what i heard) to fly from the exactly same place, and even height .. if you start once from ground and once from hand .. it makes different
happy with my mavic 3 classic and if I need closer footage I just fly closer and use the 3x zoom which its more the enough, thanks for your great informative video

I have the Mavic 3 and I have yet to get a good shot out of my 7x cam. I'm always wondering how youtubers are getting nice shots from it. This is my second one and still the same dissatisfaction.
The exact same thing happened to me when my drone literally sky dived into a roof whilst shooting a way point time-lapse. I’m in the process of having it serviced. Did you get replaced or did they blame it on user error?
WOW! Despite all the issues you were honest enough to share, your footage is absolutely stunning my friend! Koodos to you and thank you for sharing. I don't even care about the drone itself, I just watch the video for the beauty of it :)
Excellent video mate. Very useful. I have watched five of your videos in a roll. And you’ve got any subscriber. I have appreciate your honesty. Great composition and editing. As there is often wind around yachts and events close to the sea I need one. Which one you suggest? Air 3 , classic or pro?
I’m flying a Mavic 3 and talking about waypoints, I didn‘t know before that you have to stand on the exact location where you took the waypoints. Later I was standing in the same area, but on another spot which was elevated. So I recalled the waypoint flight and the whole flight route was elevated to about the height difference to my before/after standing location. Thank God it wasn‘t the other way around, otherwise the drone may have digged into the soil while shooting 😂

Wonderful insight..wondering do you use the 7x lens that often?..the upcoming Air 3..takes it away..and for my needs seems a more practical choice..bc I don't see myself using the 7x that often..lol only downside now is the smaller sensors on both cameras..even though people are saying its good that they are the same..for better continuity and editing process. the Air 3 has "vertical mode" which is a good addition like you said for content these days..and updated R2 controller, less price point....overall excited to see what the Air 3 will offer..in a few days when it releases and people will post reviews on it..

I almost never use the 7x zoom. The quality just dips too much. As far as automation goes, I can't say I've ever trusted the drone tech enough not to hit a random obstacle. My big fear is power lines. Wanted to see more about how you color grade your shots on the DJI hardware.
The split ND filters that come with the flymore or if you get Freewell ones make it easy to get the same exposure using all three cameras in a single shoot. As far as focus, it's best to use auto focus then right away change it to manual with peak settings set to show in red what's in focus. That stops it wandering focus on the two telephoto cameras. The newest firmware lets you see obstacles easier by letting you look through the sensors. The slow switching time between cameras is only when using the cheap RC controller. Switching time is much faster using the RC Pro controller. Waypoints shouldn't be anywhere close to trees and to have repeatability you need to launch from the exact same spot. You didn't mention if you did that or not. Naturally, each waypoint won't be exactly the same spot each time you repeat.
What money? I couldn't afford it to begin with! I love the effects having the zoom lense offers which makes the Air 3 a really compelling drone IMO but here in the UK the weight is a major limiter for it.
