Past few years UA-cam has just grown so much, so many UA-cam partners and options for us to watch, and also a lot of time has passed since the older vlogs! So not only did they get more views back then when there was less 'competition' you could say but also we are going back now and watching those old vlogs too so the numbers seem so much bigger than they are now. And I'm so proud of Shay for turning this into a business! That's a huge accomplishment :)

I love when Katilette gets silly and laughs at herself. I was noticing it and then the outtakes kicked in with more. It definitely made me smile, which is good since I'm blah with a cold right now! :)

I watched this video 3 months ago and have used your "no shakin" rule (although we use a different phrase) and it has helped my husband and I TREMENDOUSLY! Thanks! Nice to know everybody has those times when the argument is over something silly. :)

4:17 I remember Shay saying that on a vlog, while driving on his truck.
I always remember that, and I use it for my life or tell that to people, and it IS REAL. If you are depressed or you are angry, you take a breath, smile, and it actually changes the way you feel!

My sister and I came up with "Honest yes" when we were 8 and 4. We are now 22 and 18 and it is like a faux-sacred word that we still hold each other to. I love it!

my arguments are usually down to loneliness cause i wanna see my partner more. but my husbands really good for the fact he doesnt argue back, its always a one way argument, which i think is great in our relationship because when im angry hes calm and wants me to be happy so he trys to relax the situation which is a great quality of our relationship, because i know alot of couples always want the last word and it because a war and they avoid each other which makes it worse. im a very lucky girl!

Even though this video was probably more directed toward married people, it's still very helpful. I often find myself arguing and realizing that the only reason I'm upset is because of an earlier problem. Thanks Colette!

I remember you said the "no shaken" thing in a podcast, and I thought it was such a fantastic idea! My fiance and I came up with one too, we say "real sauce?" that way we know that we really need to communicate and be honest with each other about whatever topic we are talking about! It has been a great tool and has allowed us to explore things in a different way. Thanks for sharing that with us :)

Tips for anyone who's in a serious relationship or married. The 5 love languages. Book or online. Just take a 10min quiz & pass off to your loved one. My husband & I have been together 11years. We fought a lot! And a book & 2 people in love with open minds changed that! Collette - you should tell people about it in ur next vlog if they have questions regarding relationship issues.

True. Differing opinions are fun. But what you said were personal attacks, not an opinion.
They didn't proclaimed themselves as inspirational, peoples did. And yes, speaking about your life experience and how you deal/delt with them can be inspirational.

it's great to have a happy family type vlog videos but i feel that sharing my problematic situations with my viewer helps me to see thing in a different light because they suggest things and give me their opinions for me to consider. my family vlogs are sometimes funny, wacky, sad, and i vent when i need to, because it's MYFLIPNWORLD, and i let people in on ALL my emotions, they like that because, they like it when its REAL. you guys made it. i'm trying to make it to. love ya shaytards. ; )

30 years ago, I made a deal with my new wife. The deal was, we wouldn't go to bed mad at each other. When you know, you're not going to be mad later, it makes the argument, any argument, seem small. Just like your daily vlog. It helps knowing you're things will be back to normal soon. We still have the same rule. Still in love too. G.

Hi colette, I am a teenager from the UK.
For around 4 years now i've been dealing with mental health illness's. Last september i relapsed but never told anyone. Recently i've visited my doctor and i finally spoke to my parents about how i'm struggling.
They always suggest i hide it whenever i speak to other family members or others around me. This makes me feel like they're ashamed of me and it doesn't help me to get better.
how can i make them understand i tough it is? thank-you

I get anxiety too, and for a while I didn't know what it was. I would stop taking breaths and then I'd had to take lots of small ones to catch myself. It happened every time I was upset and It would last like 10 minutes. Maybe that's not normal, either, but at least you know you're not alone :-)
