Katilette/Colette/Mommytard: I know this video is kind of old and you probably won't see this comment...but your words made me cry. I so appreciate the amount of love your capable of giving, not only to your family, but to your audience. It can honestly be felt through the internet. Thank you so much for your words, and know how much they've helped a stranger today, I'll carry them with me forever.

By listening to you i realize that i need to let go of all the jealousy, because it's just bringing me down, keeping me from doing all the things i wanna do. Katilette, I want to thank you so much for reaching this topic, because everything you described what to do and such I learned on my own and my relationship is SO much better than it was before because we have communication. I'm grateful so jealous people in relationships as well learn to be honest with their partner when something's up since you're with them for a reason right? You should trust them, and they'll believe you and understand you when you're being honest. It's great. : )

Hey Katilette, thank you soo much for your videos! I've recently lost my sister and I think that's why I'm a little more insecure at the moment than I've been before and that's where my jealousy comes from...because I'm afraid to lose someone again. Thanks for reminding us, that we're perfect the way we are and that it's okay to have those feelings, but that we can choose to get rid of them. (I hope that makes sense)

Thank you for this video. I'm 25 years old, and still get pretty jealous. I realize that it is insecurity, but knowing that and reminding myself of it helps me better myself and feel better about myself.
I think you're right, it's just a thing a lot of us go through. I guess the best thing we can pass along is that it doesn't last forever, and if you're in a relationship with the person who you are jealous of or for then just speak to them about it. Don't worry, your teenager years will pass quickly!

I have been watching your family on vlogs for a little over 5 years. Well before the shaytard were born. I always see you looking at the bright side of things and not letting things get you down. In order to make things better and I think you would agree because of choose happiness is to always try to be 100 percent positive. I don't always succeed but I find that things always go better when I do. Smiling helps as well.

Strong communication, an open mind and honesty. I found that the only times I was paranoid or jealous in a relationship was because I was afraid of what I was capable of doing myself. Like happiness, you have a choice to be jealous or paranoid. Needless to say those relationships ended but my current relationship has been strong for the past 6 1/2 years. We both know what we want, we both know what we have, and we both talk about it!

I always used to get jealous of people at school because they seemed to find everything so easy. I have never been very logical and I'm not book smart, and everyone around me seemed to be flying ahead with ease while I was stuck behind struggling to grasp seemingly basic things. Eventually I realized I need to stop comparing myself to those people because everyone has their own individual strengths and weaknesses. Jealousy is natural, it's whether we let our jealousy affect our personality.

You took the words right out of my mouth! Jealousy is something I have to work on every single day. I've especially noticed that, i know this sounds silly, but like on facebook I will purposely not like someones photo from a cruise or vacation they went on or of their new car or things like that and I started to realize it's cuz I was jealous! So now I like photos of things I'm jealous of. It's small but it's a start :p
I miss them too! I also love these ones but would love to see some of the old style stuff again as well. :-)
I have a particular disliking for spoiled people... and I have honestly asked myself: Am I just jealous? But I say the answer is No.
I'm glad that I've had to work for & earn the things that I have, rather than just have them given to me. I feel it makes me a stronger, better person.
I don't know what the feeling is I have towards Spoiled people - except that when something unfortunate happens to them (they lose their wallet, etc) it makes me smile, and think: that's life's way of balancing out.

Love is love no matter who it is towards so if a relationship ends it usually leaves its imprint on your heart for the rest of your life, whether you want it to or not. The past influences who you become (as you said) and your mind will think back on it.

I totally realize that. Always have. Of course they're not going to turn the camera on when the kids are fighting or her and Shay are having an argument. I get that. I still have seen her handle many, many stressful situation with pure and raw emotion... yet not be ashamed of that. To me,. that is beautiful. :)

I was in the same boat as you. I never got to make amends with my father before he died. We had a pretty contentious relationship and I said terrible things to him that I still regret to this day. What worked for me, was to forgive myself for saying these things. It's hard, but it was the only thing that worked in the long run. Also, write a letter to you father saying all the things you never were able too. That also helps.

I am not Colette yet I personally waited until after highschool. In fact, I met my significant other through the Shaytards' related videos in my first year of university. It's been almost three years and we are living happily together finishing up schooling. I personally do not use the term "boyfriend" as it reminds me of high school; everyone around me talking about their newest boyfriend like it was going out of style.
