My first Swiss watch purchase was earlier this year, a Hydroconquest in 39mm. Absolutely in love and now I want more Longines like the spirit. I can’t believe the movement features and quality for the price point. Other brands at that price give you base Stelita or ETA that have like 40 hours of reserve. Longines is serious quality

Fantastic video Harrison! I honestly believe that the 'Luxury watch' classification starts with Tissot as a brand. I would love to have a Hamilton Khaki field or a Longines, a brand which I was skeptical about in the past but now I love. 😍😍 Keep it up!!

I've always found the hydro conquest to look a little odd. I can't quite put my finger on why, but I think it's the massive and imposing numerals. The spirit watches are beautiful. You'd never guess the spirits and the hydros were from the same brand (removing the logo)

I know that we kept this list limited to brands sold by Chisholm Hunter (totally fair), but I would have to suggest that any honest discussion about entry level luxury needs to include Christopher Ward. My $900 USD CW Sealander GMT gets more wrist time than my Tudor steel and gold GMT or my white gold Datejust. I just bought my wife a 36mm Tiffany blue Sealander, and I am about to pull the trigger on the bronze Aquitaine. And…I haven’t even mentioned the Bel Canto at $3,500 USD. Great video. Keep up the good work.

Defining "luxury watch" really isn't easy. 60% of the watches presented here are brands of the Swatch Group where I have my reservations considering the quality of the movements. Therefore I would not for example consider the Tissot PRX a luxury watch. Simply going by price in my opinion is too little criteria. By style this is a great selection though.

Pelagos for that price has steel bracelet and rubber strap and it's dimensions are in high demand. Better value for your money when you buy it and better value for your money when you regret your purchase. Omega will depreciate much more. Pelagos will still sell for the same or slightly less.

Idk but I've always seemed to stick to the 1-3k price range. Anything more expensive and I get afraid someone's going to either Rob me at gunpoint or something is gonna happen to the watch and it'll be lost or broken. Plus you can buy 3k watches that hold up to watches priced 2-3 times higher in many cases. Longines is a great example of that. Also discounted or pre owned Breitling or omegas are amazing watches that usually go around 3k.

Those are entry level brands/watches and have nothing to do with luxury. Rolex, Omega, Cartier, JLC, Grand Seiko are entry level luxury.

Hamilton is a one-trick pony. If you want a $500 field watch... sure... but the brand as a whole, is boring as hell.
