@@DevourTheBleakI was on the fence about the smile. Finally gave up on ever getting a new Radiohead album and listened to the first two smile albums. They’re pretty incredible and to my surprise they don’t sound like Thom Yorke albums they sound very much like Radiohead! Can’t wait for this third album.
It's the subtle change from Rhodes piano for the live performances to acoustic piano for the recording that got me the first time (and every time afterward, as well - to be honest)
[Verse 1] Through the glass Look at you Just eyes and mouth Only saying words And then turning them 'round No matter what the situation Telling yourself this is nowhere [Pre-Chorus] You appear now and then you disappear Letting it slide, letting it slide [Chorus] Soon to complete the transformation And beginning all this all over again [Verse 2] Always changing the definition Fear always passing through No-one to worry about And nowhere to be Just a shadow of light in my dark Someone I knew so well before [Chorus] Soon to complete your transformation Then beginning all this all over [Outro] Through the glass Look at you Just eyes and mouth Tapping on any window
Also, if Radiohead ever come together even just to play. They could easily fit this one after talk show as a little trait for themselves or the smile fans in a Radiohead concert with re arrangements from members. I think Colin Easley could pull even a better bass line xd
So great again. How suprising. The longer I know Radiohead related music, the sooner I get the new songs. We all know it's not always for the first listen to get the entire magic..
I recorded that online live version, converted to mp3 so I could listen to it on my daily routine, since then I've been waiting for this studio version.
So happy to have an album I was around for on release. I was so happy listening to this one for the first time. I think Eyes & Mouth might be their magnum opus
This album is an absolute masterpiece, for those who love beautiful music, it will remain in our hearts and ears for a long time, Smile's music is evolution and not exaltation of themselves
From 1:57 and onwards, this song just grabs me by the brainstem and forces me into some kind of undefinable state of pure bliss. This is exactly what Rainbows did to me back in the day. I feel like Cutouts is The Smile's equivalent to that record. A bit scattered or incohesive even at first glance, but fucking genius when letting it sit with you for a while.
Doesn’t it feel like all those past albums was a purpose to lead us all here to this giant masterpiece?? It’s just thrill during 4min! It’s WOW! It’s Huge!
Hearing this one back in December 2022 at the Seattle show, Thom dancing and hyping up the crowd. This song is a groove and its so good, I am so glad this song made the cut.
Always loved this riff in the kind of crazy jamming session at the end of Talk Show Host live in St Gallen (2016), so cool it turned into a full song !
Jonny is so good at complementing Thom’s vocals with melodies, I noticed that from Sail to the Moon and here he is on the Smile, still adding beautiful guitar voices anywhere he can, he's a gem.
I jumped up like a ninja, when Thom walked on too the stage in 2020 in Edinburgh,B4 all that BS, I was so star struck lol was one of my best nights of my life, like this Arabic vibe❤
Incredible song. It's the opposite of all their previous songs - such major and minor moments at the same time - my love on this album + final song also very coooool+..... Good album! thank you guys ❤
I think this is the most Radiohead-sounding Smile song so far, which makes sense considering the riff was played live at Radiohead concerts in the past
These words stand out to me, are they a bit meta? Soon to complete the transformation And beginning all this all over again [Verse 2] Always changing the definition Yeah, always passing through No-one to worry about (Won't you let us be?) And nowhere to be Just a shadow of light in my dark Someone I knew so well before [Chorus] Soon to complete your transformation Then beginning all this all over

Every new track confirms how great of a drummer Tom Skinner is.
That's been confirmed during the last 10 years: check out his Hello Skinny project.
I’m new to The Smile, huge fan of RH. I wasn’t sure if that drum was digital…confirming that’s in fact a real guy amazing indeed!

It's already out in full pal
@WickedLiquid it truly is Radiohead 2
Eyes and Mouth by The Smile.
I'd call this their signature track.
Definitely, also Thin Thing. These two songs in particular blew my mind from the first ever Smile concert they did before any albums released.
I’d throw read the room in there as well
Genuinely think this is Thom's best vocal performance on the album. Those voice cracks at his upper register are so, so good.
my first thought after hearing this song 💯
I'm so glad they kept those. They did this song justice and kept the live energy feeling.
Hello, brother
That piano over those crazy riffs... sublime.
similar to the best king gizzard song: Kepler b
@@Camel_BelowdozKepler B is an all time favorite of mine of King Gizz so this song is obviously one of my favorite The Smile songs
Best sublime song is Jailhouse
@@phillemon7664 same for me. this song is fuckin majestic

I definitely smiled upon hearing this song
Me tooo. Its amazing what they do
[Verse 1]
Through the glass
Look at you
Just eyes and mouth
Only saying words
And then turning them 'round
No matter what the situation
Telling yourself this is nowhere
[Pre-Chorus]
You appear now and then you disappear
Letting it slide, letting it slide

Fear always passing through
No-one to worry about
And nowhere to be
Just a shadow of light in my dark
Someone I knew so well before
[Chorus]
Soon to complete your transformation
Then beginning all this all over
[Outro]
Through the glass
Look at you
Just eyes and mouth
Tapping on any window
Fucking legend
The Smile dare to lift our spirits and carry us through these trying times. Hop on, friends! What a track, what an album.
It's certainly nice of them to pump out all this great music before the end times.
Finally we have the Talk show Host outro Jam as a track
A man of culture
Also, if Radiohead ever come together even just to play. They could easily fit this one after talk show as a little trait for themselves or the smile fans in a Radiohead concert with re arrangements from members. I think Colin Easley could pull even a better bass line xd
Best track on the album. Such a banger
So great again. How suprising. The longer I know Radiohead related music, the sooner I get the new songs. We all know it's not always for the first listen to get the entire magic..
The Drummer is sooo good 😊 Combined with Thom's voice and Jonny's guitar is total NIRVANA 🎉
I remember hearing this live 2 years ago, thought it was possibly the best song this band made.
I still think its the best song this band made.
I recorded that online live version, converted to mp3 so I could listen to it on my daily routine, since then I've been waiting for this studio version.
Did the same with ful stop mate
We’re all so unhinged for them and I love it
Great song! Tom Skinner's drumming is amazing. Big thanks to these three brilliant musicians.
I never thought Eyes and Mouth would go so hard on LSD..........
If there was a song that could encapsulate the Smile as a whole, their energy, spirit, overall vibe... it would be this.
So happy to have an album I was around for on release. I was so happy listening to this one for the first time. I think Eyes & Mouth might be their magnum opus
This album is an absolute masterpiece, for those who love beautiful music, it will remain in our hearts and ears for a long time, Smile's music is evolution and not exaltation of themselves
ok
they did it again
and again and again
In my opinion, this song is the masterpiece of THOM and JONNY.
I THINK JONNY IS STILL IN THE HOSPITAL, HOW ELSE CAN HE BE THIS SICK!!!!!❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥
he got leuchemia
@@porcelanoide at least, there is no other way he would perform like this
LOL

Long term Radiohead fan here. Guitar enthusiast (but total journeyman). Their timing, their skill their groove just wrecks my head!! 🥳
this track blows my mind, holy m.....
Incredible isn't it, wtf, how can they be so good.
This is musical sex. My brain is just exploding. Definitely one of the most mositice song they've made so far
I think so far your comment best expresses how kingly music is... I like this musical sex.😁
Very glad that this song released. Loved very much
this song is actually amazing. tom skinner is a machine
Always loved this riff in the kind of crazy jamming session at the end of Talk Show Host live in St Gallen (2016), so cool it turned into a full song !
The song I was looking forward to the most once I saw them playing it live. Finally glad it is released and sounds finished, superb!
The smile can run doom confirmed
That moment when you know you gonna be listening to this track non-stop for the next month at least
POV: Thom Yorke and Co kidnapping and leading you down into their basement at 3am!!! (You were drugged)
Release him. Where'd you park the car
i don't know what's funny or entertaining about the comment.
let's say i'm from the middle east, and it's not a "POV".
Change your supplier
@@imslicc The Smile kidnap people in the Middle East? I’m so there!!! 😂😂😂
If this is what they do in the basement I'm going voluntarily and bringing my guitar...
I was surprised Eyes & Mouth was not on the second album. Heard it on December 2022 in Montreal. Till I was waiting for it (-:
Super alternative electric acid jazz
Been waiting for this one the most since their very first gig. Worth it
This song makes me want to dance like a Thom Yorke.
Lotus Flower moment
How many times have you danced like him now Micah Greenyorke?
Zinging through the Eyes & Mouth exhibition, that's like a strange nightmare from Dante's Inferno. The song is an absolute banger.
I'M SO TRAPPED AND CAN'T STOP LISTENNING TO IT
Every son is a masterpiece, but this is my favorite currently.
how many God damn sons do you create annually?
Jonny is so good at complementing Thom’s vocals with melodies, I noticed that from Sail to the Moon and here he is on the Smile, still adding beautiful guitar voices anywhere he can, he's a gem.
Thank you The Smile
Jonny is so good at complementing Thom’s vocals with melodies, he’s a gem.
Put this album on earlier for the first time. Loved it. Maybe their best work; energetic and groovy.
eyes and mouth, what a lovely name... for a lovely song
They just know how to do everything right. This keeps me in the mood I want to be.
Thick Thing
POV your trying to find the your phone after you ate a unknown brownie you found on the floor so you can call the doctor
The best song
great track. Love the drum and bass outro and when the piano comes in at around 28 seconds.
I jumped up like a ninja, when Thom walked on too the stage in 2020 in Edinburgh,B4 all that BS, I was so star struck lol was one of my best nights of my life, like this Arabic vibe❤

So I guess I do like jazz after all. Those cheeky buggers.
Just eyes and mouth, no face, no real personality, awesome song.
Album semplicemente spettacolare!
Soooooo good (in fact blimmin brilliant. The whole album is)❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
1:58 Shout out to the background vocals... a rare bit of spice elevating this song to new heights.
Thin Thing on jazz lounge acid ❤
Skinner is so fckn good man
best song ever
This is the song that proves the most that Johnny is the king of delay
King Skinner smiles to the lizard wizard
best of the album
We know where Eyes & Mouth is... ❤
MASTERPIECE... AMAZING MASTERPIECE
This just makes me wanna play with music apps on my iPad and/or my OP-1 Field. This album is simply beautiful. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
What a song....🔥
That’s on fire.
Might be my fav ngl
I think this is the most Radiohead-sounding Smile song so far, which makes sense considering the riff was played live at Radiohead concerts in the past
i saw them play this live all the way in 2022 and have been waiting for an album version ever since. what a fucking banger.
How is it possible that they can't put out a bad song?!!!!
Desde a primeira apresentação no Worthy Farm que eu espero essa música. Simplesmente a melhor do Smile.
These words stand out to me, are they a bit meta?
Soon to complete the transformation
And beginning all this all over again
[Verse 2]
Always changing the definition
Yeah, always passing through
No-one to worry about (Won't you let us be?)
And nowhere to be
Just a shadow of light in my dark
Someone I knew so well before
[Chorus]
Soon to complete your transformation
Then beginning all this all over
So jazzy 🎶
Wow I never knew that Windows Screensaver + LSD could go so hard❤🔥
Who else thinks Johnny should make a full album of just him and his guitar. 🐐
Best song on the album? I think so!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
🤯🥰 soooo gorgeoussss!!!!!!!
after every time this song kicks in, i forget my whereabouts on earth and then every time i find myself trying to find my phone.
The best song in this album, Let's Go
Bellissimo ❤
A shout-out to my Pop's jazz generation!!
Welcome back Eyes & Mouth.
Amazing song! The guitar reminds me of the piano from Glass Eyes, one of my favorite songs from A Moon Shaped Pool.
Shagha tval, tenqcyal😮
Enjoying this flight so mush ❤
This is too good !!!!!
Gratitud por esto!!!
Finally! ❤
Oooo this one's nice!
What a great song amazing
Man, I’m just having the darndest time trying to walk down this one hallway… Oh well…
А ведь когда-то её играли сами Radiohead))
Как и некоторые другие песни
С одной стороны рад что материал не теряется и не остаётся в виде «не изданного»

Yessssss!¡😋It's a Brilliant album¡
Fantastica!

Finally...
This song should be a single
