I know you didn’t have the season you wanted to but that’s why i like your game Trevor you’re very honest with yourself. But I’m really hoping you can come back to the Mets next year. The bullpen is gonna need some reliable pitchers like yourself. Plus you finally got back to pitching well during the closing stretch of the year when the games became more important which I appreciated.
I'm honestly amazed that you have a youtube channel. I'd love to see more Mets players be as open as you are. I have a lot of respect for you to put this up. LGM! Please take home a ring this year!
As a Jays fan who has followed you, I thought your season with the Mets was beautiful and you did very well. Keep doing whatever you're doing because you appear to be a great fit for both the Mets . Love you, buddy.
Hey Trevor, saw you rehab in Syracuse. You signed for every boy and girl who asked and I am sure made every one a lifelong fan of yours and of baseball. Thank you for that! So amazing to see a major leaguer humble enough to do this- it is only how baseball will grow! I hope you re-sign with the Mets- you're so easy to root for. Especially in a Met jersey haha.
Trevor, I remember the Mets TV broadcasters interviewing you a couple of years ago during a game. They mentioned how well-spoken you are and they discussed with you how you might have a future in baseball broadcasting. I'm a fan of both Trevor the player and the person. I hope to be watching you impress with your arm as a Met for years and then as a Mets broadcaster after you retire. All the best.
Hope you comeback. Good guy to have in the clubhouse. Went through a lot this year, and still found that drive to improve yourself. Can't wait to see you succeeded with your new tools no matter the team.
This a big reason why I’m a fan. Major league pitcher without the major league ego. Feels like I just watched one of the fellas break that down lol. Hope you end up back with us on the Mets, if not, wish you all the success my brother.
Watched you on Twitch, watched you on the Mets, and here I am on UA-cam. Thanks for this awesome insight and wherever you land, you'll make the team better. Thank you sir
I was glad you game to the Mets as a player but after seeing your streams and vids like this, I am a fan of the person. very cool how you can talk about baseball during the season and also about yourself. Great insight to numbers and pitching theory.
I am an old Yankees fan, emphasis on old. Your video comes a a gift and reminds an old fan to be always open to learning about this beautiful game. Thank you for this. I wish you a successful 2023 season!
Man watching your vids and getting a feel for who you are has made me like you so much as a person that your now a mainstay in any franchise run in MLB The Show for my bullpen
Watching your Twitch side playing minecraft to watching your in depth breakdown and analysis is of your ups and downs is amazing - I am grateful I get to see both sides of you. Keep up the hard work - many are rooting for you
Thank you for sharing with us, Trevor. It is amazing and quite frightening to see all of the analytical information that can be thrown at you to decipher. I love this video because it gave us an inside look at your mindset, the constant adjustments, and the thinking behind those analytics. Wishing you a happy and healthy holiday season!
I came here for the naps, but I stayed for the rehab. Great to see the honest reflection Trevor and love your sense of humor. Looking forward to 2023, LGM.
Absolutely fascinating hearing about how someone playing at the highest level as you are approaches the game and how you pay attention and adjust as necessary
I had an aha! moment in high school like this. My pitching was forever changed once I figured out the whacky mechanics and the mental cue to help deal with it.
This is awesome! I wish all athletes did this.. hoping you’ll be back with the Mets next year! I wish you well regardless unless you sign with the Braves, Phillies, or Dodgers.😂
Just found this channel and while I'm not even close to being a Mets fan. I'm now most definitely a Trevor May fan! You the man Trevor, come to Houston and help us win back to back!
Loved the video Trevor. It was exactly what I needed to get a full nights sleep after some rough weeks. Appreciate you man. (I actually love baseball please don’t crucify me)
Good luck in free agency Trevor. ( I know you probably have lots of interest from many teams, but I hope you go to the Red Sox, they need you). No matter what though, I’ll be rooting for you
As a Mets fan and more importantly a baseball nerd, I loved this video and hope to see more like it. Particularly enjoyed the behind the scenes insight into how adjustments are made. I have to admit I didn’t think players read those types of articles for tips, I always figured just us nerds and/or amateur players actually learn something from those. Also about your training program, when you came back I immediately noticed that you looked in the best shape I’d ever seen you. If memory serves correct I think the SNY Booth even mentioned it a few times. P.S. I hope you stay in Queens (although I understand that’s really not in your hands) but if not, I wish you well wherever you end up and I’ll definitely be rooting for you!
What’s amazing is that I was at the 4/30/22 game (admittedly a little high and a little drunk) and I could tell almost immediately that your arm was hurting. When I saw on Twitter a few days later that you went on the IL I thought it was because of that game, and I didn’t even realize you pitched again a few days later. Great vid, im subscribing now.
Great insight into how hard this has to be. If someone told me I had to tunnel my pitches better, I'd have no idea where to start. (Granted I was definitely a hitter, not a pitcher). But the fact that you did the work to identify the adjustments you needed to make and did them is wild, and it's obvious why you're a major leaguer
Love this type of content! Just curious, obviously adding a new pitch is rare/unique, but how common is it for pitchers to tweak all those other little things throughout a season like velo, vertical movement, etc.?
Lots of guys are constantly tinkering and innovating, but the motivation for them comes when the stuff you have isn’t preforming well. Making adjustments like that is the name of the game!
Wow! Somehow the UA-cam algorithms found me,what a nice surprise. I’m a hard-core Giants fan. Maybe you’ll sign with them? If not, I’m subscribe to your channel. It’s very good. You’ve got a very good voice. I think after baseball. You could be good in the booth. Good luck and thanks for this.
You had it there! Affecting your sliders effectiveness. You could also use impacting your sliders effectiveness for those who can't tell the difference between affect and effect. Or two, too, and to. Lol
What I learned from this video is that the Mets broadcast is really bad, because the sliders looked like a loopy curve even after he said he had less vertical movement
sorry brother, what a serires of unfortunate events. as a lifelong metropolitans fan, i appreciate what you contributed to this team. your honesty and transparency say so much about your character, and i wish you nothing but the best for the remainder of your career (and beyond). you've gained a loyal fan in me, for whatever that's worth... just don't sign with the phillies because i'd rather not have to hate you. cheers!
Have you and the Mets had talks or are you looking to sign with another team. Or would you like to stay with the Mets. Cause there is unfinished business.

Thank you, those were some very kind words. I’m really glad you enjoyed the video!
@@IamTrevorMay of course best of luck Trevor
Trevor you can come back new york ..
If we can get back to those mid season behind the scene of an MLB player vlogs that would be splendid. Thanks Dawg
Id love to!

Videos of amazing intellectual quality, hardly a dumb jock, vivid insights into a slice of MLB life.
Thanks very much, Mr May.

I love this break down and learning how you got better is great
Great stuff, Trevor. Been watching baseball for over 60 years and I do not remember when I have enjoyed commentary and insights like I do with yours.

Excited to see you work this upcoming season! See you in Port St. Lucie!
Loving these videos! Makes me feel closer to the game.
I'm a sucker for analytical videos. Was really glad to see you popping off after coming back off the IR. Can't wait to see you on that mound again!

you have a great attitude. I like how you can laugh at yourself

Going to miss seeing you pitch regularly but look forward to more baseball videos
Great video Trevor!
Hope to see you back in Queens
This is actually very cool.
I hope May returns next season! I know he’s been injured, but he’s pretty electric when healthy.
Please come to the Angels. It’s pretty close to Seattle. Haha. Either way I will always root for you.
Trevor your the goat happy you will get to pitch with Verlander!!
Good video Trev. I like the narrative aspect to it.
Come back to the Mets next year stay healthy Trevor
duuuude. great video. love it if you came back to the mets.
never doubt that success is out of reach
Great Video!!!
Welcome to the A's
Make sure you have your dollar bills for the soda machine
It’s really cool to hear this stuff from an MLB player.
Hope you're back man, but either way always love your content!
Trevor was throwing a low-mid 80 slider when the top guys sliders are just as fast as a cutter
This was fun! Thanks!😊
Thank you for watching!
Hi Trevor. What do you do with your gloves after each season? I would love to get one somehow if possible :-)

More game day vlogs please!
Aren't you a free agent right now?. Any offers from any teams?
Yo Trevor how do you utilize your legs to maximize power in the throw and what exercises do you use to help strengthen your legs?
Hope you come back Trevor!
Its so crazy how technical pitching is.....JEEZ
For some, it isn’t too bad. For me…. It very much is lol.
@@IamTrevorMay LOL doesnt sound like it..
Hi Trevor hope you're doing well
These vids are rad!! But are you filming in a motel 6?? What’s up with the artwork? Hahaha
Motel 6’s have custom artwork from some of my favorite books? That’s crazy.
I hope you come back to the Mets
Wild travel story!
good god dude I’m so heartbroken you won’t be in queens next year. come back home before you call it, need to cheer for you at citi plz.
can the new york mets add dean to the team?
pumping 97-98 at age 33...okay max scherzer I see you
Thoughts on Justin Verlander
I'm very happy with Verlander. Would of preferred Rodon. Who knows maybe Mets somehow will get Rodon also. What are your thoughts?
If you can't have Jake, i'd say thats the best scenario for sure.
Are all of these adjustments typical of what most pitchers go thru during the season? Hope to see you back with the Mets.
Maybe not exactly in this way, but yes, everyone is working on something at all times.
Did mad max show up to lockout negotiations with a Travis Bickle haircut??? lmfao
Swiss Air from Oklahoma City?
So, you coming to the Cubs, or what?
What I learned from this video is that the Mets broadcast is really bad, because the sliders looked like a loopy curve even after he said he had less vertical movement
sorry brother, what a serires of unfortunate events. as a lifelong metropolitans fan, i appreciate what you contributed to this team. your honesty and transparency say so much about your character, and i wish you nothing but the best for the remainder of your career (and beyond). you've gained a loyal fan in me, for whatever that's worth... just don't sign with the phillies because i'd rather not have to hate you. cheers!
Do most pitchers use these kinds of stats now?
I hope the Mets bring you back !
Would you ever consider pitching for the Pirates? Be brutally honest about our team, Ik we suck but we need someone like you BADLY
I'm hoping Boston makes you an offer cause I'd love to say hi
Same! Boston would be great for him.
Anything can happen!
What’re the posters in your room?
Lord of the Rings prints. I did say i was a nerd.
