@@lilfrostygamplays1665 just don't make sense to me. 4014 is running again and her original whistle is still completely serviceable. If there's any issues with it, it can be mended.
Boy, I am so happy to see 4014's Hancock whistle back. 844's whistle on it was great and all but the one she's had since 2019 I prefer more on the big boy.
Yeah, I understand why some people liked the other one, after all 4014 actually wore it during the early part of its career (in the 1940s), but it's gotten raspy due to wear and use over the years and honestly fits 844 better now. This one back on Big Boy gives the clean deep roar we hear in a lot of recordings (plus, it's reportedly unique among the UP Hancocks in that it was modified to sound slightly more musical than the normal Big Boy whistles).
@@thunderbird1921 Agree on the part its better on 844. I feel like many whistles steam engines wear these days, whether they have it a lot or once in a while, is their true voice.

They need to put her original whistle back on her. 844 has worn it long enough, 4014 wore it in service, she needs to KEEP it.
In my opinion they should keep the 2019-21 whistle on the 4014 up 844 should keep 4014's original whistle F.E but thas my answer
