How did you get such a beautiful tone out of this? Can you please tell me I’m considering on hitting it hit I’am curious how to get a tone on that especially with a Piezo pickup
First: thank you! Then - nothing special, it is just the bass and your fingers :) You should use though apoyando technique like double-bass players, with resting fingers on the adjacent strings, instead of tirando, where the fingers are lifted up - this way you get more powerful tone, and the other thing is plucking closer to the neck. Then comes some compression, phaser and/or chorus to taste and it deserves a good reverb at the end - in my case - Sonsig Rev-A.
Thank you! Red strings are Thomastik JF346: www.thomann.de/intl/thomastik_jf_346.htm Blue strings are the Elixirs which came with the bass. I use different strings mainly because my bass has some issue in the upper part of the neck where it produces some strange metallic overtones, on A and D strings, and because blue and red strings have different gauges of the same string for the middle strings, it helps reduce that effect. Maybe I should play more with neck bowing and string action to remediate it, but I don't have that nerve. I should try again to put all reds some day, maybe it would further improve the tone of the low strings. Note my bass is high-C tuned, with a custom nut. And the total quality of sound comes also from the good reverb.

I was surprised by the HiC specifications. I thought the treble was very beautiful.
