For the next guy that does this job, it’s not right, U need to take off the bed, cut the under center bed rail, and relocate the brake line on top of the rear end, ne large bump, if not done right, this will cut your brake line and loose the rear brakes , and it will bottom out, I think he will find out the hard way if not already , it’s way to cheap how this was done ,
4 years later never had any problems rides like a dream no bottoming out no brake line even getting touch by bed or anything , now has full QA1 3 link suspension 🤷♂️
Im glad more people are lowering they're trucks properly. Some would be taking off leafs and cutting the coils wich makes them ride like shit. Nice truck bro
hey man i did a flip kit on my truck but my truck seems to be bouncing a lot when i’m driving could this be the shocks because i am currently on stock shocks

Very clean look, lowered with the rallies. Definitely an ole school look. 🔥🔥🔥
Appreciate it
its crazy how just dropping a truck make it look 10 times better i got a 4/6 drop on my 93 sierra

Verry nice dude and that truck is in nice shape 👌
I currently have a 3/5 drop but a flip kit. To make it 4/6 drop, would I need to change to a 2” rear lowering shackle?
Is c notch necessary when going 6"?
Yes
I have lowering shackles. Do you know if I have to reinstall the factory ones back on? Great video.
Yes you’ll need the stock one if you just want a 6” drop if not with flip kit and lower shackles you’ll be a 8”
@@sidewayzindustries2613 cool, thank you for the info. Merry Christmas.
Well done!
Do you use the original Rear shackles on the leaf springs?
Yes only flip kit
Does it bounce wen u drive it.? Hows The ride?
Rides great , got belltech shocks installed and c notch , daily it everyday
Tire size nd wheel size are they 15x7
Could trim off the downward pointing end of the tailpipe for clearance. I laughed when it scraped the driveway "Yep, it's lowered" Good job
Im glad more people are lowering they're trucks properly. Some would be taking off leafs and cutting the coils wich makes them ride like shit. Nice truck bro
Headlights should be next stay tuned , thanks for the input 🤟🏼
I just recently bought me a 93 obs and that's what they did, cut the dam coils and removed 2 leaf springs, smh😡
Awesone footage, was the rear end easy to angle??
Yes everything went great while installing
Shii what size tires you running? Any rubbing or trimming? I got the same kit coming for my stepside
On the 15s I believe 235/75/15 no rubbing
Did you do an alignment after the drop?
Yes right after took it to get aligned
hey man i did a flip kit on my truck but my truck seems to be bouncing a lot when i’m driving could this be the shocks because i am currently on stock shocks
Do you have a notch in the rear ? But yes shocks will help a lot!
@@sidewayzindustries2613 nah man just have the flip kit for now also did you get shocks for the front with the springs or did you run the stock shocks on the front ?
If you have flip kit you’ll need a notch and shocks for a better ride quality, I upgraded to belltech shocks once I took it to get alignment.
Yo there’s are two kits the one with the spindal and the control arm which one do you recommend?
I’d say control arms , especially if you’re going to run small wheels so they don’t hit on your arms
@@sidewayzindustries2613 thank u bro
I see you did do the notch in the frame. Was it hitting? Do you really need to do right away?
Yes on these trucks you have to notch anything after 5” on the rear
would the lower control arm rub against the inner part of the wheel?
Yes , you can trim those “rain gutters” so it won’t hit inner parts of wheel
@@sidewayzindustries2613 how much did you have to trim?
What size tires?
On the 15” rallys , 235/75/15 which I believe is stock
Did the 15" wheels clear with the drop spindles? I thought you had to go 17's
They’ll clear but will rub on your control arm , you can trim the control arm or get bigger wheels
Thanks for the info. Your truck looks much better lowered.
@@sidewayzindustries2613 do you know by chance the specs of those rally wheels. Like backspace or offset? I want to get some wheels like that for my dropped truck right now is on jackstands and I wanna make sure they'll fit. I trimmed the lca rain gutters already
I believe they’re 15x8 or something like that , they’re just the stock rally wheels.
where you get that tailgate wing
Any 99-07 nbs truck
Can i drop my truck like this and not need to cut anything? Or do I gotta cut it
Anything after 5” drop you need do cut for a notch
Not Bad Bro!👌🏿
Did the front settle in a but more. It looks a little bit lower in the back! Looks clean though👍
Yeah after a couple days of driving it everything settled down and looks even
What about the shocks
Did beltech nitro 2 drop shocks all around
yo bro i got another question so i got my springs and shocks installed but i am noticing that my control arm does hit a bit when i turn it all the way to the right is that common or should i get that checked out ?
If your on 17s or smaller stock control arms will hit , if you do control arms for drop they won’t hit

Good luck with the build!
I was about to say how the fuck were you able to notch it with the bed still on me my homie and pops Fucking struggled to remove the bed on 78 c10
Unbolts the bed just enough to be about to comfortably fit and be able to reach the welds

Yes anything after 5” drop in the rear requires a c notch if not you’ll be bottoming out
What does bottoming out mean ?
Without the notch your frame will be hitting your diff
How does the truck ride after? Will it ride the same?

Se corto el chasis o nonse corto?
Con mas de 6” drop si se corta el chasis
How much space did you have after the flip kit in rear before c-notch?

Does the kit work for the k1500?
Rear will but front I believe is different since k1500 are 4x4
