Why limit use of space to weddings? How about birthday and anniversary parties? Graduations? Business meetings and conferences? Get more help in the kitchen and do High Tea on weekends! Maximize space and fill those bedrooms.
Although this is decades old it's still interesting. Those two sisters learnt the hard way that "catering" for the elderly in their chain of care homes like they were (i.e.; badly) is far from what the paying public expect of a hotel. They can no longer just turn their backs and say "tough".

And just sit on the grass and think, I can’t believe this view is that beautiful.. And thank God for creating this heavenly view. I’m from central California and there are a lot of breath taking views and peaceful places to admire, beautiful and pretty places all around California and I’ve seen many amazing views around CA, and other states and parts of Canada, too. But one day my husband and I will visit his niece who lives in Chippenham and she’ll show us all over for our two week visit, and I hope to be standing right that place, too.. I’ll cry happy tears. Yeah, that "Police Warning" to behave is a nice, warm welcome to the hotel. So many people with zero experience say they expected the hotel to run itself, and they'd just elegantly pop in and collect all the money. Beautiful spot for a wedding. I hope they did well after this.
That color of carpet has survived so long in so many places because it takes stains and dirt well. Not that it doesn't stain, but once cleaned the stain blends in for moat things. It's why you see it still clinging to floors 30 or more years after it was put down. Not that it wouldn’t improve the space to change it out, but it seems that in this show they don't give the owners a lot of money or do a lot on the production's dime.
We expected the Hotel to run itself 😅 The curly haired sister Joy continuously looked sour, miserable and as though she wasn't the least bit interested in what Ruth was saying.
I hope the sisters thanked Ruth for what she did for them, if they did it wasn't on the video. They were also lacking name badges which would have been more professional looking 🤔 I do like Ruth, a different style to Alex, but just as effective.
Poor Joy. She def has resting BF and seems incapable of expressing any Joy. She's so reserved and wary of expressing she's happy. I hope her confidence grows. She looks lovely with her hair tied back. Sharon also seems so reserved at even having any confidence in her fiid that all looked loveky and had no complaints. Why are these two ladies to lacking in ANY confidence and low self esteem. Something in their upbringing I suspect. The mum has invested but doesn't say much positive about her two girls m I love Sharon's Making Me Crazy t-shirt. Subtle in plain sight 😂😂 I'm glad Sharon learned to love and appreciate herself and her cooking skills

Apparently, any clueless person in Britain can open a ‘hotel’ with no inspections or go-ahead from the authorities 😮 These two seem to have an IQ of about 50! ‘I was flustered’ for God’s sake! And why would anyone want to work 16 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year?? It’s mind boggling…
I'm sorry but these two sisters have no business being in the hospitality business at all!....Tjhey both have no personalities at all...where are the smiles....the energy and welcomed voices in them.....they look and act like this is their life sentence and they are all wrong for this business......Any Business will always take on the Personality of the owners and so if you are dull and Uninviting as much as these two....Its no wonder they went out of business despite the efforts inserted to try to save the failing business that never stood a chance ......
Ruth is the Original host, Alex took over when Ruth's Hotels got super popular & busy. The difference between Ruth's & Alex's experience is Ruth's self made, Alex had it handed to her.

If you have to go to work the next day, you don't stay up until 1:00 a.m. Be a responsible ADULT.
She worked until 1 am bc she had to prep such a large menu, cook & clean. That’s why it was so important to reduce the menu.
