1v7 skirmish match in Command & Conquer: Red Alert Remastered with Soviets against 7 Hard AI / Computers. The map is "Star" with "Destroy All" win condition and classic balance setting, default settings otherwise. - Ігри
I died a little inside when I saw the miner full of crystals get blown up.
Man, watching this reminds me of when i was 11-12 and i would come home from school and then sit in my room and play this non stop, id have matches where all the ore runs out and you have to decisively sell structures and use engineers to steal enemy buildings. So much fun

How do you build buildings without clicking on it ?
And how do you click on a tank when you dont click on a tank what keys do you guys press
@@dylanfaze4779 if you select units in C&C or Starcraft and press Strg and 1
Than are all these units are on the hotkey 1
So everytime you press 1, you select these units (also works with buildings and the numbers 0-9)
I mean thats the trick if you play on PC
The single bottleneck path to your base saved you from being attacked en masse from every direction which would have been nigh impossible to defend against.

Meh, a very simplistic and stupid AI. He mined out the middle which was full of high-yield ore and got some nice cash while saving the ore in his base for later.
The AI mines the closest ore first and doesn't focus on destroying ore trucks, so when they mined out their bases and went out for more in the middle, it was mostly gone. So they start to try to find more ore, which exist in the players base so they send ore trucks which gets blown up so they build more ore trucks which get blown up while running out of cash.
All the while, the human turtles in his base, relying on his early income advantage and that he still has ore in his base and isn't wasting his resources on suiciding ore trucks and units one or two at a time.
Not really good gameplay, just abusing an AI that doesn't know tactics and strategy other than "produce units and attack-move towards enemy".

I have absolutely no idea. It's probably been a decade or more since I played any of the C&C games.
@@nehcrum I actually have the original copy that I bought in the late 90s. The AI that time do attack more frequently than the AI from the remastered.
But it's a 25 yrs old plus game so I guess there is that for AI at the time.

Tesla coils are almost like cheating in this game. 4 of them can plug any gap once your base has all entrances covered with coils and add in a few anti aircraft weapons it's game over.
@@aus3492 you don't even need Anti Aircraft in skirmish if you finish it early enough because the computer doesn't build airborne units until quite late.

mechanics and shock troopers have the best lines in this game, its hilarious, used to play this game back in like 1997 lol

Learned a ton.
And it broke the game for me - I'm too good now. Not good enough to go play multi-player and win or anything; but, I went from "damn, Hard is tough" to beating 4 hard computer opponents.
This map was created specifically for this tower defence-like situation, right?

Pretty easy on a map like that, much harder on open space, and the AI usually tries V2 rockets which are a bit annoying against the teslas and for some reason didnt opt for that here. I personally put some flame throwers before the teslas to protect them, can win on worse maps than that against 7 AI

Those teslas don't stop zapping for nearly a minute after the 4:00 mark, great gameplay dude 👌
I like these challenge videos. Would love to see you do this kind of thing on various maps. Especially some custom maps.

@@whiskizyo2067 Same opinion =) I used this tactic against PC in all RTS i played when i was a kid. Spam towers, wait for the enemy's resource hunger AND CONQUER USELESS ENEMIES HAHAHA. =D Lame tactic =)
This is where tower defense was born from... people completing the missions and finding skirmish too easy and wanting more difficulty...
This is so cool to watch, brings back so many awesome memories or lazy days just feeling like i was running my own war in my cozy computer room as a kid, ahhhhh great memories

This was my old tactic. Enough MIGs to take out a construction yard, then hit again on the War factory before they can build a MCV.

I edited the rules.ini file 25% more range on most units proned infantry take less damage twice the health on everything and half price vehicles and infantry oh and harvesters have stealth. playing against two AI is now harder than 7 on hard.
Alright pal. New to this how do I access the rule.ini file, I can’t find it. The AI is far to easy even set on hard

Remastered? damn never knew it existed those icons and a graphic look very nice. I still have a very old win98 PC setup in the corner just for nostalgic gaming. With my old RA version it look like a pixel wars.
My fav map has always been the same since the 90s back when I was a kid, Path Beyond. Play that map with all hard random bots ffa, of course random spawns. It's a fun map for a full game ffa. Or even 3v3s, NE vs SW
TIP: Get an MCV into the higher ground with a single road for the 7 opponents to pass by, focus your land defense at the main passageway while you build your base. Me and my friends had done this dozens of times in the Red Alert and Generals games to win a 1vs 7 hard computer AI battle.

Ahh the good old days. I loved this game, still do and still play it. The only thing that irritates the hell out of me is the pathing. Trying to take a large horde of units through a bottleneck or across a bridge, and half of them turn around and try to go all the way around the damn map to get there... 😡😡

Great job! Now try doing this at a map where your base doesn't just have one small corridor leading to it as well as maybe even try this with the inferior Allies. Fun to watch, still not sure whether I want this game or not knowing the flaws of it even though I used to play it quite a bit growing up.
I wonder if Paul Bettany is doing an impression of Red Alerts AI voice for vision in Avengers, cos he sounds an awful lot like it, just noticed, maybe Stark was a LAN player when he wasn't building Jericho missiles ^___^

Is it not worth putting like a line or two of walls in front of the tesla coils?? or is it just cheaper to repair them ?
Maybe, I usually tend to stay away from walls because they take pretty long to build :)
I always had the strategy of building coils with a small wall then some flame turrets sometimes in front like the campaign bases but obviously with a lot more teslas

What's the point of playing a mission like this where you can protect the only entry point of entry on your base (you do mention this near the beginning of the video), AND where you know the other bases are on the map are? Fair play though...you are very good at playing at this very fast speed! You have obviously practiced this map many times ;)

The common tactic for every battle - destroy enemy harvesters and use artillery for destroying enemy turrets.

Some days ago I downloaded Red Alert 1 and didn't never knew there was a 2, or people still playing it
2 is by far the best in the whole Red Alert universe. The ability to put infantry (GIs or Conscripts) into civilian buildings is awesome and makes for some interesting strategies. You can also capture oil derricks, hospitals, civilian repair depots, and airports for special abilities and bonuses. And each nation also has a special unit (England has snipers, Germany has tank destroyers, iraq has desolators, US has airborne troops, france has the grand cannon, libya has demo trucks, russia has the Tesla tank, and cuba has terrorists)

I still play the old version from time to time. The computer AI never builds a navy. Never. It gets boring after a while. On maps with enough water, if you play as Allies, once you have a few cruisers it's game over.

He has the game on a very high speed. Plus, if you have more than one war factory they build faster.

Nope, not even close. More challenging yes, but then you remember they fucked it up in the allies favor, and from what I've seen they have no plans on correcting that inbalance.

@@Manche-De-Pelle Thats not what I meant. I am very well aware each country has a different bonus, thats always been a thing in RTS for the most part.
My point is for example the Allied Artillery in Open RA has longer range then the V2 rocket launcher. Bullshit.
This allows an allied player to mass against a soviet player, attack their defenses with impunity.
I can understand being longer range then the Tesla Coil - fine. Longer range then the Soviet artillery counterpart? Fuck that.
Its unbalanced bullshit. Once its fixed, then maybe it would be an okay download...the Original & Remaster are still superior as far as that goes.
