We had danger in camp and things got scary for a while. There was two rattle snakes spotted in and around camp and one of the kids may have been attacked by one. The boys father took him to the hospital and got checked out and he is doing good now. Father son camping trip at the creek property went great other then the rattle snakes.

It looked like a purple snake in Texas. If so, they eat rattlesnakes.
Spider bite? Had guy in Scouts who got bit by something. His lip and surrounding area had swollen up.
Sounds like a wasp or scorpion sting.
Boy's father here. We are frequent campers and are fully aware of and accept the risks.
It was definitely a pygmy rattler, he had a tiny little rattle.
Ezra is doing fine BTW. We are 90% confident that it was a dry bite, apparently about 35% from venomous snakes are according to the USDA.

Will not get a shot at hospital unless know the kind of snake
One venom does not equal another
Please, talk to kids & adults to try & identify what bit the person
Otherwise the time wasted trying to identify what bit the person could cause escalated damage to surrounding area that can lead to further health issues
Welders & tool operators have wrist protectors
Work good on kids ankles when playing in woods :)

I'm 65 and I want to say ThankYou for hosting this. Seeing the fathers and sons showings interest in all the events just worms a grandma's heart. This would have been something our son would have done with his son, but he passed away 12-9-2022 from cancer. He would have turned 40 and like you he was a US Marine. I'm glad the little boy is doing well. God bless you and every father and son. Boys getting dirty, a rare thing.
Why did this video bring tears to my eyes? I can’t express how amazing you were for taking the time to do this. If only more people would participate in bringing families closer together. These boys will remember how they were able to worship and learn skills with their fathers at Dutch’s camp. Now I need to stop cutting onions!

That was totally awesome ! You all worked hard to set everything up and it was worth it , it was evident from all the happy faces that a great time was had by all and God was present ! Looks like all the Dads and Sons had a good time learning and having fellowship while sharing Gods word. So glad the young man will be ok , I do believe that the Lord was watching out for him and everyone else.

But watching the demonstrations was great…the best….seeing them sit around and share with their Bibles. I was praying for all of you throughout the weekend. Praise God the little boy is fine. Pictures sure show everyone having a grand time learning scripture, camping things, and nature! Having fun at the creek too. Not really surprised about the accident with the boy who got bitten. Snakes can be dangerous.. might consider having a lesson taught by Park guy regarding various snakes in that area. Glad he is ok.

Might consider waiver of liability forms be signed by anyone coming to your property. People are lawsuit happy nowadays. Probably good idea to talk to a lawyer about it. God blessed you with that property and you are being a good steward to share it for the purpose of exalting Him and sharing important life skills while building relationships. Truly heartwarming. I loved watching the young boys learning new things and having fun at the same time.
God has a plan and whatever the bite it was it made you look around and find the rattlesnakes and brought them to your awareness again. Love your camp focusing on survival for those boys which also includes the need for God to survive.

Well you have to expect that that's there home out in a Rule area You got snakes, spiders, Tons of ticks, hogs. Bob cat's many things.that can hurt you You have to be careful when you're out in the woods That's the critter's home.
Your father/son survival camp just made me love your channel even more. To know you are never afraid to talk about your love for God and how unashamedly you are to show this on tv and to show fathers what the most important part of being a real dad is to be WITH your child. Thank you for being the type of parent and raising the type of family that is sadly, so rare these days!
A couple of quick comments:
* If anyone has to get bit by a venomous snake, the Pygmy Rattlesnake is the one you'd want! They have very weak venom and their victims are almost never given anti-venom. In fact, I worry far more about some spider and scorpion bites! I would love to see someone teach the boys about the different snakes and their part in nature that the Lord intended for them. Snakes aren't bad and they don't want to bite. They just want to be left alone!
* I was surprised that Kevin and his son from hidden heights wasn't there. I hope you two didn't have a falling out?
Loved that y’all caught that many crawdads!I pray that God will bless your willingness to share his word with young men! A mom daughter camp wouldn’t be horrible!

I went to a church camp when I was about 10-11 and now at 83 I remember like it was yesterday. Your boys group will remember your camp ,many, many years from now.
