      I trap cats, and often get a raccoon. They are usually jerks, rolling and trying to break the trap. But never ever snarling. Keep a blanket or tarp w/ you to throw over the trap. They calm right down and you can release the trap with getting hurt.

      @@aquariusrizing.. I unfortunately had a family of raccoons living in the walls of my home . The babies when they grew older ,were very aggressive .The one he caught looks young like them.

      @@thaismatsumoto Yes, a raccoon looking for love is nobody to mess with. At puberty all bets are off. Cat traps are much narrower and smaller in general. We've caught babies, not street smart adults. So far... knock on wood.

    Dutch, you need to put 3 guide wires up high on the pole to keep it vertical for its highest point of power. Anchor the wires with T-posts or half-inch to one-inch Rebar. The way that pole is leaning, it will probably break or at least bend it to the ground with any big wind. Also, think it should be placed in open area farther away from the trees!!

    • @christywoffinden1592
      @christywoffinden1592 Рік тому +3

      We have a telescoping pole like that. They break easily in big wind storms. You need to anchor it from the top. Also you don't need to fully extend it before you put it up. You can extend it one section at a time from the ground

    I can fully understand why the raccoon was acting so aggressive to you. He (most likely) was already upset that he couldn't get out, and then you walked on him, making him take his defensive mode. Just a natural instinct kicking in. I wonder how we would act , if it was on the other foot. Hope it nevers happens. I love to see your lovely young ladies helping and learning with their pop. Be blessed my friends. Deme in Bama.

    You can concrete in two pipes and keep a pipe width between them. Drill two holes horizontally through the pipes. Run threaded rod through the pipes and through the middle pipe. The middle rod is the pivot point and the bottom holes are the holding rod. Like a Martin Birdhouse setup so you can lay the pole down on the axis point rod.
