I'm still so glad you chose to do this show! Like I said a few weeks back, every character is just so perfectly broken. You've got plenty of traumas to cover. :P
@@ICgay4 My favorite character in the show is DEFINITELY Willoughby Kipling, but Larry is my favorite out of the main cast. It's a hard choice though! I love all of them.
School counselor here and new subscriber. I am so glad you are doing Doom Patrol. The writers go so deep into the psychology of each character, and that has made it one of my favourite shows. Please, if you can, do S3E8. "Subconscious Patrol". Each member of the team meets a part of their subconcious, and have to confront some hard truths about themselves they have been avoiding. Very Jungian. Its my favourite part of the show so far. The writting makes the emotions so raw.
And here I've been meaning to watch Doom Patrol, particularly because Brendan Fraser is in it, and he's a person I really appreciate. It does makes me sad that the reason I'm fond of him is that he's had a rough go of things, and it feels like we're both on the upswing again after far too long. Reminds me of something Emma Thompson said, “It's unfortunate and I really wish I wouldn't have to say this, but I really like human beings who have suffered. They're kinder." I just hope that life has made me kinder rather than harder.
Favorite Jane moments? Jeebus, where to start. This is one of many Jane episodes that brought tears to my eyes. I am enormously fortunate not to have childhood trauma, but I feel so much for those who have. All the love to all of you.
As one who (due to inborn trauma) doomed to fight depression for the rest of my life - what I really like in this show, is the fact, that when damage is severe, a single realisation/epiphany is NOT enough to magically heal everything and solve all problems.
This is one of my favorite tv episodes ever and your insight just made me love it even more. Fantastic job with this. I cannot wait to see you do more videos analyzing this incredible show.
Really happy that you chose doom patrol to react its really a great show that dives deeps into their characters, hope you'll do ones for season 2 and 3
How much Cliff cares. Sees giant monster representing childhood trauma? Screams fuck you. Giant monster and grabs and rips him apart? Tells Jane to run while continuing to scream fuck you to him
I am so glad this show has a small audience but I really want more people to see it. It's a gem and a classic and I can't wait until it explodes and everyone starts talking about it.
I really like how you feel for the characters you react to. It's good to show that everyone has issues and that they deserve to be cared about. After watching your Doom Patrol series i'm actually considering spending the money to watch them.
Love the Jane cosplay! Looking forward to your other Doom Patrol videos! This was a wonderful analysis! Jane is my favorite character on the show, shes so complex and goes through such an amazing journey!
Pretty sure your superpower is caring, Georgia. And your tearing up during this video led to...someone who is typing on this desktop...to tear up as well. Isn't it curious though... whoever wrote this show...it almost seems like they drafted a...therapist...to participate in the writing process. Oh! And also there is this idea...someone...had...about you doing video(s) on Netflix daredevil? I'm just going on record to say that I fully support that plan. (Whoever thought of it was truly inspired ;)
@@GeorgiaDow Well your videos mean so mean to a lot of people, including me! Hope you had your happy dance/squeee of excitement for reaching 10k! Internet High Five!
Hello, I love your video! I was wondering if you could make one on season 4 episode 1 and episode 5. I love episode 5 so much because although it doesn’t deal with their inner child, it is about all of their childhoods and as someone who identifies a lot with Laura, I’m interested to see what her reactions to certain things in the episodes say about her past, her personality, learned behaviors because of trauma… etc.
I'm wondering, would you say inner child work is similar or different when it comes to working with clients who have DID as opposed to those who don't? Would this be further applicable to alters who may be traumatised but are at different stages? And thirdly, is this more broadly applicable to cPTSD treatment? If you can answer any of these that would be great, I have really enjoyed your analyses
So should I be more concerned about the person who could do this to somebody and move on with their life like nothing happened or should I be more concerned for others who may have made the mistake of evicting him, with no questions asked, which has the potential to make their life whole a lot meaningless in the end or worse... evicting him by letting inside a whole masquerade of blind people, wait for it, serving the eye! 🤧

Yes such a beautiful friendship they have. Cliff is a true hero
I JUST realized you're wearing the same "tacos are everything" shirt that Jane wears in season 1 episode 12. 😄
Someone Noticed ! So excited thanks

Her 64 other selves in her Underground
love it that you're wearing the same shirt that she used in one of the episodes too
You are one of the few who noticed it

I suspect that Jane and Ratcatcher 2 frequent the same bars.
Oh please do Larry next!
It’s internal family systems.! We all have parts! Not just those with capital T trauma
Could you talk about Psychonauts 2?
I really wish you had gotten to Rita.
Whose your favorite Doom Patrol member? Mine's Larry.
I wanna be Rit Farr and Crazy Jane
i am curious as to how accurate this portrays DID
Deep 😔
1:52 Too Deep 😪
7:20 I just cant do that, can I? Otherwise I would be asleep right now like normal people do 😔

Can you do jinx from the arcane series?
But how do you talk to them, how can you listen and give it, if it's hard to
I wanted to react to crazy jane
Would you please do Jessica Jones?
*high pitched voice* why do we talk like this when we ask for money tho
Georgia, Georgia, Georgia. Doom Patrol is not a part of the DCEU, so why did you hastag it??
