I don't know how far you are in the series, but you should definitely react to the "Jane Patrol" episode where cliff goes inside of Jane's head to save her.
BEFORE WATCHING THE VIDEO: Probably what I liked the most about this "improvised group therapy" is that the characters are aware from the get-a-go they don't know very well what they are doing, but they recognizce Cliff's point of "JUST Starting talking to each other is at least the first step they can take" . And well, as the ol' saying says, the first step is always the hardest.
everyone in the doom patrol is so painfully human, i love it, despite all the weird shit that happens, its really about their issues and how they deal with them
I would love to see you react to Doom Patrol 3x08 "Subconscious Patrol". It's another group therapy episode, and I believe it's one of the best episodes of the show. There is so much emotional breakdown on that episode.
Goodness, Doom Patrol is a gold mine! I’d love to see you react to Niles and Dorothy’s relationship, Flex’s grief, or the glory that is Danny. Great video!
gahh i love doom patrol!! as a massive cliff fan i definitely appreciated his enthusiasm, even if (like most things he does) he was a little heavy-handed about it. as a very loud and emotional person who doesn't tend to understand when i'm annoying people, he's a big mood sometimes. rewatching this ep reminded me of something - idk if you've ever watched the bbc show "ghosts" (not the american remake, the original - basically a sitcom about a human couple being haunted by a bunch of eccentric ghosts), but in one of the most recent episodes, they have a group therapy session that certainly has a few ups and downs. i'd be interested to see what an actual professional thinks of that! (though, uh, i don't know how much sense it'd make if you hadn't seen at least the first few episodes - though, to be fair, i'd be interested in your thoughts on all of the characters individually even outside of that episode.)
great video! finally someone making a psychological analysis over Doom Patrol, it's been so long :") hope you make more videos covering Doom Patrol, one I specially look forward to would be Mr Nobody
doom patrol is a rich seam to mine. characters and possible issues worth their own profile videos: Larry, long term trauma, depression and stigma; maybe reconciliation with radically transformed life circumstances. Victor, hyperfocus on ambitious projects at the expense of personal growth. Jane is nominally DID but there exist alternative more generalizable interpretations, eg selectively repressing emotions until they seem necessary. In fact several of her alters could get their own episode e.g. Dr Harrison Beard Hunter - paraphilias. Agent Morris aka Maura Lee Karupt. I hesitate to even name an issue here, but surely there is some way to comment.
I'd love to see more Doom Patrol, particularly the episode that goes through Jane's brain with all the personalities, but have you considered the Umbrella Academy series?
What’s quite interesting is how Jane is the one personality with no power but she, Jane, her role is to have the strongest emotional strength of the personalities. That’s why she’s the primary.
Id love to see you react to johnny and larrys final goodbyr scene. I cried so hard watching that. It was oddly refreshing in a movie wher just 3 episodes later a bunch of cannibal sentient butts participate in a prison riot.
Cliff going off as he does in this scene seemed annoying and frustrating the first time watching it but I'm glad she broke it down to how and why people react the way they do during therapy
Since @CinemaTherapy won't do it (still love those guys) I'd love to see you do a breakdown of The Last Airbender. Zuko alone could fill several episodes.
12:13 _Foreshadowing!_ We later learn that although Cliff's metal body cannot get sick, his organic brain can... and he's getting Alzheimer's. 12:53 Spoiler alert: his memories about how his mother died are _not_ real.
Obi-wan Georgia! A so VERY skillful and intuitive education of the do's and don't's in navigating this kind of situation. As a kid, other kids threw rocks at me and tried to beat me up because of my native heritage...and some adults allowed it. All this without knowing what I was or was not capable of...and the assumption was that I was not capable of anything good or great. Natural strong, I added to it by lifting weights at home and running a lot...so in high school I was THE best athlete. Didn't matter. Got a scholarship...didn't matter. Saved people's lives...didn't matter. Fun Fact: Stopped caring whether it mattered to others as a kid. I just do me. So...I have no different "face" for others.
DC is going in a great direction with Doom Patrol, Harley Quinn series with Ivy, Young Justice season 4...storylines driven by character emotion, realistic conflicts between favtions on all sides, few truly irredeemable characters. Usually only the final season bosses like Nowhere Man, Child, Lady Shiva, Cassandra Savage, Lor-Zod... DC also structures its universe in a basically emotional way: the power ring spectrum. This is going to attract better writers than that Infinity Stones meh.
I know what the guy in the Iron mask here was thinking when he said something he shouldn't. Long ago i went on a double date. The other guys date had sharp looking canine teeth. So i said "ow wow they make you look like a vampire" I thought it was really cool and didn't mean it bad at all. By her reaction i was quickly alerted that she did not share my excitement. She got about 2 weeks of picking on me for that so all was well.
You should watch the show. It's brilliantly quirky and weird, but still manages to humanize its characters to a level a lot of other shows don't. Also, the acting and writing are top notch.
@@brewdaly1873 I could list a dozen shows that I think that you "should watch" and I doubt that you would watch any of them and you are not obligated to just as I am not obligated to watch anything just because you think that I should. You can say whatever you like as per the 1st amendment, but I will decide what I should or shouldn't do.
I don't know how far you are in the series, but you should definitely react to the "Jane Patrol" episode where cliff goes inside of Jane's head to save her.
Or to subconscious patrol, where we basically got a second group therapy episode
The great thing about doom patrol is despite all the weird and bizarre things that happens in this show it has got a lot of heart in it.
“It’s not always your parents”
“Clip of Cyborg’s dad plays*
“Sometimes your parents.”

What an amazing show. So much bizarre out of the ordinary stuff happens and it's all grounded by very relatable human emotions

i adore this show. honestly, i think most of it warrants a therapist reaction.

Im confused what Maura Lee's issue is, elaborate?
I would love to see a season 3 video...
Specially on Rita's arc.
I love Doom Patrol. Please look at more of this show. I love Larry but I am very curious to see your thoughts on Jane
Yes! I’ve been waiting for you to cover this show!
I'd love to see more Doom Patrol, particularly the episode that goes through Jane's brain with all the personalities, but have you considered the Umbrella Academy series?
lol. umbrella academy is just another copy of Doom patrol.
same as X men.
Doom patrol is waaaaay better
Yay! I'm so happy you did Doom Patrol. lol
Great analysis and insight! I enjoyed your video. Blessings.
I hope you react to Cyborg first, so much happens to him as each season goes on, he really grows and learns
Oh you have to review the recent episode where they all talk everything out with their subconsciouses, THAT was painful

Therapy Patrol was a very good episode.

😊
Love from a EuroBrady and Vaush fan!
Can anyone tell me where I can watch the show I haven’t seen this before
It's now on HBO Max

Perfect analysis as always.
Flex Mentallo!!! Or the whole sisterhood of Dada!!!

Therapist reacts to "A Silent Voice" when? I am struggling, and that movie resonated with me, I want to know why?
To me Rita is the best study of a self doubting and reluctant leader with an invincible heart and totally feminine style ever done in media. Fight me.
I definitely won't fight you! Totally agree, a fantastically done character!
I don't know if there's a lot to talk about Danny the Street... but I'd love some form of analysis. ;)

You need watch and react "subconscious Patrol" in Season 3 EP 9.

The therapist needs to be in an actual show….with them.
I am taking this as a compliment =P
