This is very useful. I wish people were shown a guide like this when they are new to Mayhem. At least the basic most important things such as: always go 2v2 first wave, always try to kill the one with lowest health, aoe in Spiral is usually good, get blades first for Spiral, don't shield or heal for no reason all the time, etc...
Super useful! I have tried to just jump in and try to learn but if anything I think I always irritated people and didn't understand why so I just never did Beastmoon again. Now I am really wanting to try it out and this video broke it down for me and was extremely helpful with learning more about it. Now I can join in with more confidence since I now have a better understanding of how the game works.
i agree with the vast majority of this, but there are a few things I'd like to say as someone who random queues. 1. the forms list is definitely optimal, but if you're in random queue you don't always have the optimal forms available. in that case, other good forms are anything with blades - life draconian, balance cyclops, storm colossus, and life fairy can all fill those buffing roles in a pinch, but they aren't hitters, you need to use them to buff someone with a strong hit. similarly, you don't always have a tier 5 storm elf or a tier 3 myth rat. in that case, consider giving pips to a form with a worse aoe, just to get that aoe out faster. This is where ice elf, balance fairy, and myth draconian are handy. alternatively, buff your storm wolf so they can use their 3 pip aoe. Giving 3 pips to a storm krok gets a 250 aoe on round 2, same for storm colossus, fire colossus, and others. Fire cyclops or ice fairy can have a 300 aoe if given pips. But no matter what, you need to know what your role does - blade instead of heal. 2. boss resetting! it's so vital to claw a win back from the jaws of defeat. sometimes a boss fight goes smoothly, but even with a great team you could get killed by bad draws. if one person stands on the boss when your team is sent back to base, it will reset the health of the boss, but any dead minions will not be able to respawn. so long as you kill 2 of the minions, you can flee and effectively fight a second wave 1 boss. this lets you do a boss in 2 phases if your damage isn't good enough. it's slower, but if you have 10-12 minutes you can do this 100% of the time, and I find it makes for more consistent wins in random queue. the trick is to flee early and not waste time damaging a boss you won't be able to kill. 3. in random queue, 3v2 wave 3 is dangerous, and not significantly slower. if you're losing, it could force you to flee and take a different form and help a second circle to avoid a massive time loss. it wastes more time if all 3 circles lose, and if even one loses, it's just as fast as a 3v2. you might not lose time in that case, but it's very likely you lose forms that you might not be able to replace. if you have optimal forms (storm krok, wolf and elf, and a myth rat, + 2 other hitters) you should always be able to 2v2, but you can't guarantee that in random queue. if forms are worse than optimal, a few people will die. you can even 3v2 wave 2, if you did well enough in round one. based on my experience, you need at least 14 minutes at the start of the wave for it to work. I much prefer to 2v2 wave 2, but if there's a new player, I'll try to 3v2 to avoid time loss. 3v2 in wave 2 or 3 is not going to prevent you from winning. in conclusion, this guide does demonstrate optimal play really well, but if that's out of reach in your team, some of the advice can hurt more than it helps. this is how you can win with 15 minutes remaining, but the bar to win every time is a lot lower. Edited for clarity
Very good guide, only counterpoint i would say is the 2v2 only/aoe strat is only viable imo with a full team which can be hard to get. Personally for teams of randoms I recomend 3v2 in round 3 and do spiral in weak to strong (aoe if you can kill mutiple enemies). Great starter guide for teams though!
Very nice guide, I also like the editing. I would only like to add few more info. I think in 2v2 is better to pull the weakest enemy in second position sometimes, so you increase the probability to one shot it before it does anything. The storm elf is a really good form, but you get the 4 pip aoe only at Level 5 so it decreases the possibility of this strategy to be actually used in this way (it's still a really good form, so I would not exclude him). I would really like to see other parts of this guide cause there are a lot of different synergies between forms that can work pretty well and there are different rules you need to follow depending on which enemy you're fighting (This is the most important part I would really like to see in a guide). Other than this, I really like what you did here and it has a lot of potential, so keep doing what you're doing 😍
I think my previous comment must have gotten deleted due to a link, but lemme see if I remember... Basically this has MOSTLY good info, but there's a few things in here that I don't think is good advice for new players. Perhaps "Fastest Beastmoon Mayhem Strategy" would have been a better title because the 3v2 advice I totally disagree with. Doing 3v2s in wave 3 and even wave 2 depending on your team can be amazingly helpful and help your team keep your vital forms. Also, I think Balance Cyclops is one of the best forms for Spiral and he should have added a Spiral alternative strategy for players that don't have tier 5 elf or tier 3 rat. Lots of other tips left out of here, and I'd encourage anyone to check out my "Beastmoon Monster Mayhem Guide" on Final Bastion (but I won't link it ;) ) Again, overall good stuff in here, and thanks for making a video guide, but I probably wouldn't recommend this to new players due to these issues.
This was so helpful could you possibly make a guide on how to get the beast moon robe like best way to get threads stones and such for classes overall way haven’t seen anyone actually do an in depth guide
Battle cards are just extra cards you can add to your deck. You buy them from the NPC in your base, and you spend Battle Coins on them. And yep, you can enter the map through either portal in the base. Each portal takes you to a different spot in the same map. Let me know if you have any more questions! 🙂
Hey what does the beastmoon crafting station outside do?Like if you craft a treasure card there, will you get it in the event/ battle? im kinda new to it but i already got the hand of it!
Good question! Nothing you craft from the crafting station applies to beastmoon (except the gold idols). Those treasure cards and housing items are for main game.
Yep! Gold idols are the best. Crafting one and interacting with it at the kiosk will permanently unlock the form! Very valuable! Highly recommend getting gold idols for every single form
Every mayhem event (which occurs once a month, and lasts for one week), the crafting station has 3 different gold idol recipes. These gold idols rotate each event. They cost moongold dust to craft, which you obtain from Meleager’s quest once per event, and the mayhem event rewards bar. Let me know if you have any more questions!
Wizard101 or The Beastmoon event in game? Wizard101 is a wonderful 3rd person open world wizard journey game, going on 13 years strong with a decent player base (and certain parts of the game are free to play if you want to try it, would definitely would recommend trying it) As for the Beastmoon Mayhem, its a spin on the PvP version of the Beastmoon Hunt game, pretty cool, also worth trying out in game.
@@kerenred Thank you! Happy to hear you love my content!! Hope to put out more soon. (Too bad it's not a permanent mode, which makes getting footage difficult)
the enemy you touch upon initiating a fight will be in first position. So, always make contact with the weakest enemy first. You can only really confirm the boss won’t be in first position. whether it’s in 2nd, 3rd or 4th is pretty much random.
@@Gladrocker I just joined beastmoon and was unable to grab the recommended shape/class, I had to pick the balance rat. My team was telling me to avoid capturing ring, it was 45 against 75 and I did not know how to raise the score and obviously we lost and they were really mad at me. Why it's bad to capture rings to raise the scores? What do I do when the character I get is lame?
few things! 1) this event is different than the one in the video. you’re playing Beastmoon Hunt, and this video guide is for Beastmoon Mayhem. (check out my guide for Beastmoon Hunt 🙂). 2) When your team is losing, it’s best to stop capturing rings and start defending rings - because if you capture rings, the other team can just capture them back for more points. So when you’re losing, it’s best to fight. 3) it’s hard to say what to do when you don’t get a good form. if you’re new, i recommend using bigger forms (cyclops, wolf and colossus) over the smaller forms like rat and fairy. good luck!
The thing I wish is that teammates are generally trash. They don't know the game, and instead of watching tutorials they go completely blind and ruin everything. I hear ya. Happens all the time. I think a tutorial like this should be required for everyone, then maybe these new players would understand how everything works. Or just don’t queue with randoms
Good question! Gear and mana are not used in beastmoon. You select from a variety of forms and each form is preset with health and cards. So you don't need to bring any items at all from main game.
I was just reading Cam's comment and was going to agree with some of what he said when it got deleted. Why would you delete the comment of a future ki dev? It wasn't disrespectful or rude.
