Beastmoon is definitely my favorite thing they’ve added in years. It’s a shame that the devs refuse to balance it in any meaningful way, because it could easily be its own competitive game with a dedicated player base.
Me too! and you’re telling me 😂 i’ve been vouching for balance changes for years (storm elf, myth rat, etc).. seems they’re prioritizing other things for some reason 🙁
Good, universal advice for beginners. Very much aimed at that target audience, and there's much more to learn, but this advice is never going to change based on meta. Would be good to have heard when to push vs when to defend, since I think that's a major beginner mistake, but that's really the only thing I think is missing. I'll be sending this one to new players for sure.
Thanks for the great feedback Emily :) I appreciate you sharing this with new players! And agreed! This is definitely missing some more strategic concepts but I wanted to start with low-level information that (as you mentioned) won’t really change anytime soon. However I’d definitely like to make a part 2 where I cover more advanced concepts (such as pushing/defending, utilizing meta forms, split-capping, etc). I have some pretty good insights to share! 🙂
this was a really well made guide, i've not seen videos that actually say so much in so little time like this can't wait to see the future of this channel and i'm glad i subscribed :)
Genuinely GREAT GUIDE!!! I was going to make a similar guide but I think after this there is no reason to! Only thing to add is a difference between main game and BM is that heal over times do not bring you back from the dead only direct heals.
Thanks so much Shawn! Really appreciate it! So glad you enjoyed 😄 And thanks for pointing that out. Hopefully my emphasis on beastmoon blessing implied that pixies aren’t as useful 😂
Note: This is a beginner-level guide, meaning anyone can watch it (even if you've never played before). Some of the information does move pretty quickly, so if you have any questions, please ask me in the comments and I'd be happy to answer! 😀
This is great! Keep the Beastmoon tutorials going! That part of the game is really hard for me to get in to but now it makes more sense. Super high quality video too :) good job!
Thanks so much Seb :) And absolutely! I’d love to make a part 2 covering more advanced concepts if that’s something people are interested in. I’m glad you enjoy 😄
I’m glad! It was harder creating a guide for beastmoon hunt than beastmoon mayhem because mayhem is more linear. It has a simple structure and easy flow. But hunt is way more unpredictable. There’s no clear-cut walkthrough… a lot of it depends on what the other team’s doing
I have question and I can't find the answer . You get 50 crowns if you play today assignment Can you make 6 wizard and complete all today assignment for 300 crowns or not
how long does it take to finish the scroll? this game mode looks like league of legends and im not a fan of it. but i do want to get the double gardening and its the second from last reward ugh
depends how much you grind certain events. For me it usually only takes 2-3 beastmoon events, but I grind a lot. it’s definitely manageable for more casual players though since you have a whole season to complete it. And nows a good time to purchase it because the new one recently came out
Great question! Some good forms for beginners are Storm Elf, Myth Rat, Balance Krok, Storm Krok, Death Pig, Life Drake, Storm Wolf, Balance Wolf and Ice Colossus. These forms are all fairly easy to use at tier 1. (Note that they’re not always available, as their availability cycles per event).
Ice Drake works well too! It’s brand new so I haven’t had much of a chance to test it out though. Some of its spells may be a little confusing for new players, but I’d still recommend it 🙂
According to KingsIsle, skill-based matchmaking does exist! It’s probably just difficult to notice due to how small the queues are. But I imagine if the game was more popular then it would definitely be noticeable
@@Gladrocker Its not true at all, and you can tell based off of the forms people choose. If one side is choosing Storm Wolf + Storm Elf + Life Colossus + Life Drac, and the other side is choosing Myth Wolf + Death Cyclops + Death Elf + Fire Colossus, you know which team is full of pros and which team possibly has noobs. I guarantee the latter team would even have a mute. Kingsisle lied to you. What they need to do is have parties of 6 only be able to match up with other parties of 6
Thanks so much for all the positive feedback! 😊Let me know what other Wizard101 videos you'd like me to make

thank you so much for this video! the event is live now and I was feeling intimidated not knowing what it was. Now I feel confident enough to try!
I’m so glad to hear! Best of luck with the event :)
This was super helpful to understand Beastmoon! Thank you!

What are the best forms for beginners?

@@Gladrocker I've done mayhem a lot of times so I know how the spells work but never have done hunt
Oh ok cool. Good luck with your games. Let me know if you have any more questions.
0:33 Thats not true. Not even in the slightest... wish it was tho
