It is very impressive how long this game has lasted. The fact that they still put effort like this into the game is amazing. Yes I know they’re getting paid with all these crowns and memberships n whatever, but compared to big name companies who will give u a zero effort battle pass and refuse to fix their game. This is refreshing.
LMAOOO effort? Your funny if you think they put the slightest bit of care into this game anymore. Also they dont fix the game what are you on? I could list bugs out the ass, that have been in the game for 12+ years. This is just another dumb system on top of their other dumb systems, so they can say they added 100 "new spells".
Glad to see them going this path. I know a lot of people don't care for dual school but I find it part of the fun in playing as a wizard. Plus, it won't be a DoA feature since we can still enchant these cards like normal
Oh my gosh, I really need to have you sitting beside me translating what the cards do when they introduce these! They sound so complicated. When you started talking I was hoping that the spells might do combined damage from two different schools ... that would be so much less complicated and really handy. Thanks for the vid and good luck with the current live stream... it's gone 1am here and is probably too late for me to watch live.
Hey, I'm so glad to hear you're back online again. I have been playing Wizard101 for over 11-12 years now. I am also a mature adult. I first found this game for my teenage daughters. So I've been listening to your posts for some time now. I really enjoy your posts and get a great deal out of your info and experience and you look like you're still having fun, too. UMM Also, I don't mean to embarrass you, but your voice is so soothing, I love listening to you, so for that I also thank you. 😇🙃😊
I can see it being useful in pvp and raids primarily. the only changes for pve will be the blades and maybe the auras. I'm excited though new content is always appreciated!
It likely wont change much in pve outside of advanced combat. It cant top blade blade aoe but ittle be a fun option if you dont do that. Pvp wise though i imagine this changes alot
@@NotSnak meanwhile ice getting an 1140 single hit, granted its storm but subbing into a 2nd school dmg isnt that hard in the grand scheme of things. the only schools that dont gain dmg from the fusions ae high dpp schools like storm, life ice balance will gain dpp. just gotta dualschool.
@@Baraxal1 i mean yea its good and the fact you can enchant them and everything is great. @@NotSnak i'm also a hyper efficient player with blade blade aoe, prepping gear pets etc for a wiz but, i do think most new players dont play efficiently, i know this from teamup or helping anyone and everyone i find while walking around and questing. i often am on a quest, check the sigil find someone and they just have like 10 dmg to their school and use single target 5 pips. this will definately be used and cool for newer more casual players, and a cool thing to experiment with for us older players as well. not to mention they will 100% be making this a thing we want to use in future worlds anyway. its kingsisle after all. we know how they play.
This is really gonna help for alot of people who are starting out new, and with the same school types that you are fighting you can just fuse a school of a different type and hit with that.
Idk from what I seen they are for the current max level not for low level cause all the ones they showed said 170 level min in other to train the spells
I think the difference between the costs of all the fusion possibility’s are identity based meaning the school type or the school spell you start with gets the favored mechanics pip cost, dpp, utility…ex
I am happy with how much effort KI is putting into making dual schooling an actual usable mechanic in game. Most other games would have abandoned it long ago but with how central the idea is to W101, it would really hurt the game if they took it out.
At first i was not that happy about this, but now i can't wait to try, this changes a lot, makes training points a lot more valuable. Im excited for this, now i hope we got a krokotopya expension this year
I wish there was a feature that you let you merge spells like this with a teammate. I would love to merge my ghoul with my brother's stormzilla and share the pip cost to fire off a combined grimzilla spell.
They said on the livestream that this is essentially their plan for the mutation concept going forward. They said they wouldnt touch existing mutates, but they didnt like the idea of having cards that were functionally useless without the other (i.e. mutate does literally nothing unless you have the card to mutate with)
Little confused on the restrictions placed. They made it seems like only certain schools could use fusions that include the creature of their school on the card. Does that imply this is kinda useless for pve mid game? cause without dual stat gear it seems like fusion into other elements use pretty useless until around level 150sh or so
Bro doing all the training points will be so stupid. I have 7 wizards and that's going to be annoying. They should really have it be a checklist option, similar to quick selling. With this method, you don't lose every single spell outside of your school, completely shattering your decks as well.
Just wanted to mention that the explanation of selected target at the end is wrong. Divide spells are not the same as selected target. Divide spells are simple division which would put 4 targets at: 900/4=225 damage. With selected target, each additional enemy after the first multiplies the damage by 0.75. The selected target formula is this: (Base damage of spell)x0.75^(Number of enemies selected-1). With 4 targets selected, the damage is actually 900x0.75^3 which would put the damage per target at 380. Still not amazing damage, but definitely better than a simple divide.
Wondering if the this is them promoting mastery amulet buys. I mean it’s cool but how usable is this actually? Am I gonna have to wait 6 rounds for an off school cast or if we weave together does that mean it can use power pips as 2? Some questions I’m eager to have answered
Mastery amulets arent really necessary because archmastery exists. This whole magic weaving and dual schooling stuff hinges on the fact archmastery is now a thing
Useless in pve but a great concept. Kinda crazy how they are just improving sun and star schools but doing nada for moon. Really annoying, tbh as moon was always the most fun of the astrals.
Is it me... or do they just keep barkin up the wrong tree? 90% dont care about spelements.. because they made them way to hard to get Now it seems like most could care less about school pips.. i will prolly check out a few of these But will I use them? I doubt it...
kinda sad that storm wizards wont be able to use the storm spells along with all the other wizards. Not sure what the point of a school-specific spell that can't be used by that school is. Basically forces you to dual school to make use of. I would 100% centaurion on my myth
gameplay loop and combat is still just as lackluster, underwhelming, and monotonous as its always been this will not fix that issue even though its cool
Another goofy system that will prob annoying to go through, or be only useful for pvp. I swear their moto is recycle and reuse and people keep falling for it. Ill say it again this game is built off of nostalgia, not innovation.
Hopefully this means KI will make training point buyback cost gold (just like spellements) to encourage us to play around with these new mechanics!
We can only pray
Wait, spellements cost gold now?
@@Oxyphobe no, you can reset the upgraded spellments

Honestly, these spells would be nice if the PVE mobs could use spells with secondary effects, I believe it would make the game more of a challenge.
I customize my gear. Then used all but Death. So, that one is on the player. For not being creative.
