So actually, it turns out that they did a study of this at the MIT University in 2019. And the claim is true....it turns out it was actually not possible to complete an illustration of that type...without adding little blushes in on the girl. You can't do it.
Can you imagine Mark, over 11 years ago when I barely got into anime, *YOU* started it all for me at age 12 I watched all your tutorials how to draw manga and anime, now I can draw it soooo much easier I even got a call back from a small animation studios looking for anime artists after showing them my anime work, its all thanks to you THANK YOU MARK CRILLEY!!! your vids bring back good memories even now I watch them to learn more techniques

Well I hate to tell you I watched it and I did not find it helpful. He doesn't explain why he constructs it the way he does and I see a lot of mistakes. Especially the guidelines were pointless.

I should probably save this for a Q&A video... How do you go about choosing the topic for your weekly videos? Do you plan them out in advance, have a general idea of what you want to cover over a specific period of time, or is it semi-random (do you choose a topic based on what you haven't done before, viewer recommendations, whatever is popular, etc)? I'll probably mull this over and condense it to a better question for your next Q&A, but I've been meaning to ask it for a while now and I always seem to be unavailable/at work whenever you post your "I need questions" videos. :P

hey, so, as i watch through your videos you're slowly becoming my hero. i was wondering what your opinion on digital art was, as i never see you doing it. i currently don't have any way to transfer my pencil/paper artwork onto the computer, and i'm slowly improving with the mouse.
also, my mother claims that the way she learned how to draw was with tracing paper, so i was curious what you think about posing 3d models, taking screenshots, and tracing them to get a result?

Next time you do something for head poses you should make one for the famous "Shaft-style head tilt" like in the Monogatari series etc.
