However, the endurance you maintain while feeling this way will lead you to go beyond and reach the pro ledges. Hope this helps, cuz I'm doing the same to go pro.
I’ve been drawing since I was really young and went back to my dream as a manga artist after years of being a nurse. This really helps a lot. Thank you.❤

But watching it and actually sitting down with the mentality of “ok, what am I missing?” And god I am still a very very long way to go- To begin with, I did have a genre: magical girl/mahou shoujo. The thing is, nowadays most magical girls are either they’re directly targeted towards very young children or are that dark. And I want a mix of both: the casual kinda slice of life but also showcasing growth of characters while mixing very dark stuff. At least, the rest is already settled in the writing aspect, I guess it’s mostly what I focused myself on. The rest… blank. I managed to make a one shot for a 5 max page story, fully written. And it was hard-. But eventually, made it- somehow-. It was a very manga inspired story, that’s mostly why I’m telling it here. And honestly, to draw it… damn. I really hope i can get around it somehow, someday. After all, I’ve been working on that one magical girl story for 4 years now. Either way, I’ll still keep on trying my best TvT99

Super helpful to get a good overview on the stages! I'm planning to draw a story in the future and currently redrawing my characters from all angles. It's difficult to find a design that's easy to replicate in the drawing process that still looks interesting. Also a very good idea to test myself with drawing one part of the story on a limited set of pages! Will definitely try it before actually starting to draw! Thank you for sharing all the information!

Random question regarding target Audience: Lets say I wish to make a stoey that's readable by anyone regardless of sex. What is that called? (I usually try to make my stories this way.)
A recipe for failure Kidding! (Kinda) But seriously, you have to pick a target audience. There are just elements and themes associated with each demographic. It doesn’t mean that other people can’t read it though. Ex. Naruto is shonen but people across all ages and genders still love it.

I’ve been trying to get back to drawing on a tablet, but I’ve been struggling to stay motivated, and all I’ve been doing is headshots, and doing body shots get cut off because I always draw them over the canvas limit. I don’t think I can do this without someone instructing me over the shoulder.
Since you draw digitally, when you get off canvas, you can try to select your drawing and resize it / move it around to get if to fit. You could also do a very rough stickman like sketch and place/resize it on your canvas before your proper drawing, to know how big it needs to be (since resizing a drawing after its done like the first option I gave you can give you trouble with line width consistency and details when drawing the rest of the body). Keep up ! I you want to make manga eventually, I advise you to start with a 4 or 5 page story, contrary to the 16pages recomended it this video. Finishing a bunch of short stories is a good way to progress (since you get to debrief more frequently) and also to fell good about your work (since you get to have more complete stories!)
I’m actually creating a webcomic, but it’s the same basic principle as a one-shot manga, which makes it technically like a one-shot webcomic. It’s meant to be like an isekai/harem manga with monster girls, but set in space. i wanna make a manga soooo bad. I can draw its just the fact that i have a hard time drawing it to fit in a comic strip and make it fit. i like to have room when i draw.
I don't even want to make a story professionally, I just wanna make a world, make characters, and make it in manga-like style of story for myself and maybe friends if i ever get confident enough 😭😭 Before even starting this video, I know as a fact that this whole manga drawing thing will feel like: "Step one, be a jack of all trades artist. Step two, know everything about real life. (geography, architecture, history, society, economy ect.) Step three, be a professional character designer that can make an entire character based just off of a literal walnut and everyone will immediately love. Step four, know everything about psychology so you know how to influence readers the way you want and make realistic characters. Step five, be a professional writer that will instantly make any reader be completely immersed in the story Step six, be a professional at not dying of stress Done! 😊"
Just a little while ago was thinking of making my own manga n here I am, got a little story to start with but need to work on my drawing, I am not good at it at all
What about when one can't draw? I think my writting skills are solid enough for starting out, but i cant draw no matter how hard i try. I've tried taking courses and training every other or so since 2012, almost no progress at all

Someday I want to publish a manga/comic and share it with the world. It’s on my bucket list which is quite long! But I think I can do it. I’ll build healthy habits and start working on things young! Good luck to anyone who’s aspiring to become a Mangaka!!! 😁

I’m amazing at writing but I’m bad at drawing so I need to find an artist and I need to get time because I’m going back to school soon and I do sports and I got a long book I’m starting to make maybe 10 volumes but I want to make a one shot first so I’m going to make a one shot but before any of that I’ll work on the longer series after I find a artist and when it’s finished get it copyrighted and make a one shot with the artist and get that copyrighted and either self publish it or publish it on the viz or Shonen jump app and if it hits release the 10 volume one if the one shot is decent I think I will self publish because it’s hard to get it on the big companies but I’m just start in like I started yesterday
i wanna make a manga soooo bad. I can draw its just the fact that i have a hard time drawing it to fit in a comic strip and make it fit. i like to have room when i draw.
I don't even want to make a story professionally, I just wanna make a world, make characters, and make it in manga-like style of story for myself and maybe friends if i ever get confident enough 😭😭
Before even starting this video, I know as a fact that this whole manga drawing thing will feel like:
"Step one, be a jack of all trades artist.
Step two, know everything about real life. (geography, architecture, history, society, economy ect.)
Step three, be a professional character designer that can make an entire character based just off of a literal walnut and everyone will immediately love.
Step four, know everything about psychology so you know how to influence readers the way you want and make realistic characters.
Step five, be a professional writer that will instantly make any reader be completely immersed in the story
Step six, be a professional at not dying of stress
Done! 😊"
What's the point of coming here then?just to comment?
@@Fucking_around_and_finding_out yes? Stupit. Obviously 🤨

Yup! We’ll open again in June/July. 😀
Hi I'm 13 I want to create my own manga and I am in J.H.S3 so I am interesting in this studies
Just a little while ago was thinking of making my own manga n here I am, got a little story to start with but need to work on my drawing, I am not good at it at all
Could you name some manga one shots that have only 20 pages? I want to get a hint of how it is structured.
You could check out some entries from Silent Manga Audition and other manga contest entries to get an idea. :)
Yeah I got the answer
Yay! That’s awesome! 👏
I'm in 6th and my story is going smooth now to storyboarding!
What about when one can't draw? I think my writting skills are solid enough for starting out, but i cant draw no matter how hard i try.
I've tried taking courses and training every other or so since 2012, almost no progress at all
Oh, it sounds like you’ve been struggling for years… 😢
I’d actually suggest hopping on a FREE manga consultation so we can get to the bottom of this.
Have you already booked a call?

I am delusional I am just doing whatever for a long run story but like it’s a one person team so it will take ages 😂 like a Netflix seasonal stuff and I just aim for my local book market since comic isn’t an industry here on panama it doesn’t have to be perfect or compete to industry level manga I just want to create and be happy I have a stem career to apply to “office job” anyways 🤣

I want to make a manga but I am only 12 and have no one to help with me so is it possible for me to do it alone
i am 13 and i have a story is it illegal to make manga at my age?
Definitely not illegal! Just go for it! 👊🏻
1:45 see that’s why I’m going to write a light novel💀 so that way I only have to draw one good picture every few chapters and update this like once a year or every 6 months a single book might only contain 4-6 pictures I can handle that I can’t do every page Bro😭
Someday I want to publish a manga/comic and share it with the world. It’s on my bucket list which is quite long! But I think I can do it. I’ll build healthy habits and start working on things young! Good luck to anyone who’s aspiring to become a Mangaka!!! 😁
Thank you for the help i have been thinking about making my own manga but I don't know how to draw but I can create a story easily
Me who has been inking with micron and copic markers for years ....I had no idea that i was so, so, wrong lol.
