This is a mechanic that he used to heal multiple times in this video with the jump, which would be similarly affected. What this video demonstrated is that the assault literally only has two things going for it. A decent ability, and slightly higher gunstrike damage. Everything else that was done could be done better by another class that brings more to the table in other areas.

Assault's problem is that it literally has only one build. Pick your melee weapon and get to gunstriking. Such a lame way to make a melee based class IMO.
The One thing I always felt I wanted from the Assault is for the Thunder Hammer hits that come from catching (blue indicator) the minors jumping should do AOE pushback.
Just from the footage I can guess at a few of them. +1 armor on gunstrike, 10% charge on ground slam kills, 10% more melee damage on targets hit (more likely then 15% damage against majoris), 15% secondary damage, 50% more gun strike damage (he was getting majoris in execute range consistently off 1 gun strike. There's a lot of perks for the assault, but not all of them are viable currently.
The hammer compliments the gun strike. It has a large parry window for fencing and the damage is high. For minoris, the AOE smashes whatever the ground pound didnt finish
@@meejmuas8686I agree but they still should buff the hammers aoe damage or the speed just a tad bit. Dont want the hammer swinging like a baseball bat but the risk vs reward doesn’t match up well with the damage you can take at ruthless. It’s to me either buff the damage or limit health bloat

Assault's a force multiplier class with the highest skill cap imo. The amount of dmg you can do after gun strikes is nuts. This is the bes showcase of assault so far imo. Do not let the deceivers fool you. All sons of the emperor have their strengths.

The level 18 gun strike perk restores armor on non-lethal gun strikes. It restores as much armor as a lethal gun strike would, so extremis enemies and bosses restore max armor with any gun strike.
This video literally screams "Walk tall and carry a big hammer". Steady progress, barely taking hits and dismantling the enemies with more efficiency than I've seen people using "FOTM" builds.

Tyranids are ez once you practice simple parry and mechanics, I can do the same thing with vanguard only using bolt pistol and chainsaw. the real solo test is doing Chaos mission and I'm still not yet to seen a video Assault soloing Chaos mission, because that is much harder.. I'm waiting that video to come. And btw, Assault do sucks hard in class perks comparison and weapon comparison classes have access to. There are tons of videos in YT where this is explained to. When someone say class sucks, its not equal to skill issue. It's equal 1:1 comparison between classes and assault is bottom tier for sure in PvE, no matter how much you like it. It's the fact by vast majority of community and CC gamers. For me Assault is my favorite class since beginning with Vanguard and I have played 200 hours this game max leveling 4 classes full perk and weapons upgrade.
Assult sucks comparatively. It's not like you can't play it or have fun, I sure love using jetpack myself. But it is a relatively weaker class, you do still underperform and need to do more to achieve the same result as other classes.
@igozi5728 the thunder hammer is meant primarily for tyranids because of its wide sweeps meant for large melee minoris mobs. And the tyranid majoris spams melee attacks which are perfect for assault parries. But if you play against chaos, it makes sense to switch to chainsword. You pickup 15% damage reduction when using light attacks, have faster attacks and 100% contested health on charged attacks. Chaos primarily use long ranged attacks with very few parry able attacks in between. EVERY class struggles against these long range tanks as more than 1 will cover each other in ranged attacks. Assault offers gap closers and 2 shields per majoris. For minoris, it can instantly ground pound groups of ranged minoris and nullify their ranged capabilities. Assault is not bad but players dont utilize the options that are there and go straight to judging a class that they havent explored or are unwilling to learn
@@meejmuas8686Assault is a onetrick. And all this effort can simply be done in a fraction of the time by a melta or nade launcher. Even OP on this channel, who is an amazing player, struggles to get total kills you see sniper, tactical, heavy, and vanguard players getting with 0 effort.
@@meejmuas8686 yeah between +50% perfect dodge window and fencing weapons, you're always going to have gun strike opportunities. Assault is the only class that can go all-in on perfect dodges and block weapons (and their higher stats) and still benefit from gun strikes.

they fixed the recovery on the dodge and parry system. Last few days was never fixed there is so much delay i wanted to refund the game. Played today and felt there is difference in response time. Like it responded to my button press not like the first time it was release - took 0.7 sec to respond. What a piece of shit response time.

Get the perk that recovers class ability on kill, gun strike damage +50% and gun strikes that dont kill give you a shield. Start the fight by ground pounding all of the dense minoris mobs, mob up the majoris by attacking with hammer and forcing a gun strike, parry and finisher. On minoris, you can also get shields by using sprint, melee, gun strike or charged melee, gunstrike
When i try this i get swarmed by a 1.000.000 more enemies, and al the ranged and extremis/boss only target me. Yes he has skill, but the rng for enemies is a b**ch.
I think they should add for the Thunderhammer that executes on small enemies that involve the hammer should do extra DMG to surrounding xenos It looks weird when you grab one of the small ones slam the hammer with a lot of force on to them and the other enemies nearby don't react to it
yeah imma be honest they need to either make it ruthless harder or another difficulty above ruthless, with better rewards. It just doesn't feel very challenging

How are you getting those overheals on Gun Strikes? I have never gotten fully healed from gunstrike executions.
It's a bug. When you havr contested health and do large amounts of damage in an instant, it overheals. He likely has the +50% gunstrike perk

If the gun strike kills an enemy it will be considered an execution to the amount of contested health restored which is all

Most of assaults build comes in levels 17-25. The parry window and gun strike perks with hammer and heavy bolter pistol.
It should charge the jet pack faster like in the pvp and maybe add one more shield to him to balance
