Penders would never resolve anything in his writing. Just tease endlessly to try to entice readers to keep reading. Flynn actually sat down and started offering explanations, so no wonder Penders hates him.
This character was definitely one of the worse to come out of Archie. Thanks to what I'm sure are Sega mandates, the S-S-G triangle is the most lopsided I have ever seen in fiction. On one hand, you have two established characters (Sonic and Sally) with chemistry built over multiple issues, but she can only get away with a peck on his cheek. Then comes this OC skunk, creepy and a lack of chemistry, who still gets to swap spit with her without trying. Not a cheek peck or french hand kiss, nah, straight up face sucking. Kid me questioned if Sally even liked Sonic when it seemed like she would give it up to St John the second he would appear. I know they dialed this back later, as well as gave Sonic his own harem (eventually), but between that, plus yet ANOTHER added love rival in Knuckles (of all characters) around the same time St John was introduced, it's not hard to see how she got the nickname Princess Slutty.
Geoffrey was best written when literally ANYONE other than Ken was writing him. As, you know, they'd be allowed to call out his horrible behavior. He tried to KILL Sonic once BEFORE the traitor reveal story.
A very small part of me wants to license Geoffrey St. John just for the ability to create a borderline-canonical story where he gets called out as a creep and generally crapped on. Unfortunately, that would mean giving money to Penders.
One day they might bring back Geoffrey St. John and fix his character if people don’t like him, they can always just change his personality in comic never know they might change their mind and bring them back
I never liked Geoffrey St. John, he was mean, manipulative, he saw Sonic as an enemy, he didn’t trust Sally to be out on the battle field, and let’s face it he kept Sonic and Sally apart on purpose when Sonic had his knighthood taken away. I’m glad they never brought him back in the new timeline.
I can’t put into words how much I despise this character. These comics already had a petty rivalry written with Sonic and Knuckles, so I don’t understand what the point of this guy is. He just brings out the worst in everyone around him.
He was 26 years old in Penders Q and A but they deleted that info in 2015
Not gonna lie though, loved what Flynn ended up doing to his character, actually giving him some depth, and some nasty consequences to his actions.

Now that’s fucked up

Design wise had potential... However as for the rest... Penders has to screw him hard making him the worst character ever made.
...I can fix him.
No literally I can fix him with better writing and a HARD REBOOT to his character.
Well Penders is still offering the rights, so pony up and have at it.
@@SPBurke good to know.
Unfortunately I'm poor, but I will keep this in mind.
@@KaiboStudioshow much is he ?
It’s not that Jeffrey was a dislikable character, he was brainwashed.
You're thinking of later canon, originally he was just like that.
Loved his design but hated his character
More like Pepe le douche
Why is Just every skunk character in media just bad.
There’s Fifi.

0:47 Bent out of shape over a five or so year gap?
Seriously?
Personally I never thought there was anything serious between Sally and Geoffrey.
11 actually. Geoffrey was apparently 26. But seriously. A 26 year old kissing a teen romantically is not appropriate
I agree I didn't like this guy
