Can you make an updated version of this video? When I click the link in the description it brings me to a different page.. I tried doing the first method but Windows says I'm up to date. But when I open DaVinci Resolve it still says my Intel graphics driver isn't compatible with it and that I should update them..
Link should be better now, the layout has changed a little, but all of the same options are still there

Same. Intel tells me that I have to contact Hewlett Packard because it's a custom chip and Windows says it's up to date. All the usual painful computer bilge and nonsenseroo before I can a start with Davinci Revolve but that's computers................... and once it's done, it's great.

As long as you get the correct driver, you shouldn't have any problems. Intel also has a download helper that should get the correct drivers I think

@@AkkiTheSlayer There's always a small risk with updates as there's no way to ensure the update is compatible with everything but it should be as long as you get the correct driver for your CPU. There's arguably even more risk in not updating graphics drivers.

No, that’s normal, every time you update any graphics driver the screen will likely turn black for a few seconds

If you have CPU based graphics it probably has no dedicated graphics memory.

If you search Intel graphics 3000, it should show the correct options. You could also use their automatic update tool if you are unsure

When I check which Intel HD Graphics I have, It doesn't say a number at the end of it, it just says "Intel(R) HD Graphics".

When i opened display adaptors my video card was only Intel(R) HD Graphics

If there isn't a generic option to choose on Intel's site, try looking up your processor name and that could tell you the numbers.

If you find the name of your processor, you should then be able to choose the right graphics driver from that info

No worries, apologies for not replying to this one sooner, for some reason it got held for review.
The search bar is the one that says "filter list", it's to the right of where it says "Which product do you need support for?". You should be able to search in there what it says in the device manager.

There isn’t a best one, you need to get the one that works with your processor. Also gaming on integrated graphics isn’t going to be the best gaming experience unfortunately!

You should be able to find the exact name by looking up your processor's name

Use the name to see what inbuilt graphics it has
@@samho2137 For yours specifically, (according to the Intel website) the drivers are called "Downloads for Intel® HD Graphics for Previous Generation Intel® Processors", so that's the page you need to get yours from on the website.

I cannot be specific though unfortunately as that would make it confusing for others. Everyone needs to install a different Intel graphics driver depending on what it says in the device manager. Just install the one that it says in the device manager, as that is the specific one you need. Let me know if you are still unsure :)
