    I typically use IMSA to whet my appetite until the WEC season begins, but there's simply too much draw now to not watch how this season plays out. I can already feel like this season is going to be absolutely f*****g legendary.

    • @TassieLorenzo
      @TassieLorenzo 5 місяців тому +1

      The Voodoo engine is unbalanced and not reliable enough for racing unfortunately I think. There is a reason no one else uses a up-down-up-down flatplane crank layout (instead of up-down-down-up), it was a compromise Ford made so the car could still use a single intake manifold and not separate left and right manifolds like a Ferrari or the Corvette ZO6.🥲

      So question should have been: So is the driver of this car in GTD or GTD Pro ? I have to say ... I REALLY hate how IMSA separates the classes there. Is hard to follow on track. I say they should just lump everyone in the same class.

    • @ronknox3376

      They have 2 in GTD Pro run by Multimatic who built the cars and 1 in GTD run by Proton.

    • @Maenfy
      @Maenfy 5 місяців тому +6

      @@paulbarrette2557 You can tell the class by looking at the color of the number panel, mirrors, wing endplate and the stripe on the windshield. Red = GTD Pro, Green = GTD. In this case the car is in the GTD Pro class.

They might have been sandbagging a bit during qualifying to not get hit again. Or the sanctioning body may review just how much they handicapped the Fords. Personally, I think it’s the former. I think they qualified 6th and 9th? For such a long race, starting position doesn’t mean a lot.

      @Davidmadethis12 Sadly this is true. I was born with almost a supernatural skill in driving. Started with a 5hp go-kart at 5yo. I had dreams of being one of the best drivers in the world by 10yo. Unfortunately about that time, I Started having back pain and was diagnosed with scoliosis Years After It was too late to do anything about it. I got by driving for pizza places and courier work until I got hit 2 years ago. I'm 40 now and can barely drive to the store without it hurting too much. It is sad having a dream that can never come true.... back in my prime I could drift my 1987 Chevy Cargo Van around the Tail of the Dragon, I was happiest when I was driving fast and now it breaks my heart and soul to give up on my dream.
