- For the first time ever, there’s a Ford Mustang GT3. It will make its race debut in the GTD class during the Rolex 24 at Daytona. Veteran driver Joey Hand, one of the pilots of the Ford Multimatic Motorsports Ford Mustang in IMSA, shared with us about what make this car special.

I have been waiting for this from 1966 . To see the same model Ford Mustang GTD to be racing all over the world 🌎. Thanks 🎖🍾🥂
News born in 1966. I was an engineer at Ford. I supported the Mustang Program. Worked on the Ford GT Program.
Wished for the exact same thing as you.
Congrats to the both of us. Praying it will be successful! 🫡
I second that!
I am really excited to see a Mustang on track for the Rolex 24.
Love the Mustang GTD.
How much you want to bet they’ll knock the stuffing out of it with BOP
Yeah I agree a thousand percent! How do you call it racing when you nerf the f*** out of everything that you comes in there to run around the track?
Some “fresh air”in the industry! Beautiful car. Good luck!
Love Ford man
Sounds like a plan, best wishes and good luck with the GT3!
Definitely need more Mustang content on here.
This car doesn’t need garage 56. It can use any garage around the world. Congratulations Ford.
I have always loved the mustang since I learned about it when I was 3 years old it’s my dream car and is in my goals to own one so I may feel the power and enjoy a very very special car created by ford I keep telling my friends and family I’m a ford fan for life
It's got plastic (or are they composite?) v-covers, so it seems they're holding during testing.
Awesome!! Has nothing to do with Darkhorse or 5.0Mustang you can buy. Yes some similarity to the new GTD but $300k lol.
Making my old FP350S look obsolete lol. Glad to see the manufactures in the game again. The trickle down for club level racers is much appreciated. Hope they have a great run. I will keep a lookout on Bring A Trailer for one of these in a few years lolol.
As a Mustang owner, I approve of this message.😢
Going to miss seeing you guys this year… meet you at the media center at midnight??
We are not doing an official midnight tour this year but we will be out at the track covering the event, if you see one of us say hi.
@@Grassrootsmotorsports will do!!!
@@Grassrootsmotorsports how about we all unofficially meet at the media center… at midnight.
So, how did things go at Daytona? I saw where the car was BOP'd by adding 33 lbs before the race.
I want to see it in super GT300.
I can predict the first crash: it will spin right into an unsuspecting crowd on exit.
"For the first time ever, there’s a Ford Mustang GT3."
The Mustang FR500 exists you know. Also built by Multimatic
Everyone, back in the day, had a mustang due to it's affordability. Not any more....😢
Now if only ford marketing didn't over sale the s650 road cars performance and execs over price it. S650 would be massive success despite being a s550.5 at heart.
It's clearly a cross plane crank engine, and it sure sounds like a superior push rod engine, sure would like to get a look at it, sounds like a Chevy.
He says it's a coyote v8 which is cross plane. Flat plane's aren't as reliable. That's why the new Cadillac LM car is basically the c8 Corvette lt6 but with a cross plane crank.
@@Thegrowerofthegreens Thank you.
It better be good $300,000 for it man
“Grassroots” motorsports
No BODY-ROLL? confused my eyes to see domestic vehicle that didn't lean over like a slob
The one trick pony car started to die like in 2012 ford and gm started building sports cars. I feel like G8/holden coming to the us was the first sign of that change.
Is grammar and effective communication not an important factor in racing a car? "raceability" (@02:30 & 02:46) is not a word and neither is "hopefably" (@03:47).
Of all things to comment 😂 always someone who will find something to be upset about
Not as important as not being a pedantic a-hole 😊
