I went online for the first time black senior dating site met a nice guy dated for 6 months, but person became very controlling and disrespectful. I was very disappointed because it started off really good. I thought he was the one. Dating on line is very draining. Men just aren't the way they use to be. You were blessed to find a good one. Im not giving up I'm keeping hope alive 🎉
Correction, women aren't the way THEY used to be. The traditional woman of the 1960's is a thing of the past. Many so called "Modern" women consider the traditional role of a wife akin to slavery. However these same women expect a traditional man. Men have adapted.
I’m a widow and am thinking about on line dating. I have to say I’m very uneasy because I’ve heard so many negative stories. I’m not looking to ‘hook up’ I’m looking for companionship that could develop into a more meaningful relationship.
I'm glad your topic answered my need. I was online dating for sometime. The profiles were quite good and l managed to like some! Many showed interest but the only challenge was the fee factor...l had to discontinue because the organisations had said it was free.... l'm getting wiser as l listen to your presentations....❤
Just a word or two for the guys who might be in the online dating world, maybe posting a picture of yourself in a wrinkled t-shirt isn't the best idea. Sloppy dressing, dirty shoes, long, straggly, dirty hair is also somewhat less-than-enticing. If you're wearing neatly ironed clothing, clean shoes, and you've had a haircut recently -- and a shave, it just makes such a better impression. Facial hair is a whole other topic. The point is to be neat. Keep that beard trimmed! Women aren't so much obsessed with how a guy looks; women are more impressed when a guy seems to CARE about how he looks. Good luck to all of you involved in the search for your match. It's tough at times, but hang in there!
Not true that dating sites do not work... They do if you use them correctly, cast your net wide, be discerning. Write a profile that invites curiosity (and respect).... I know plenty of people who have met lots of great people this way, whilst also meeting some that are not. Again, be discerning, take your time, enjoy the journey, not just the destination. It's a wonderful opportunity to learn more about yourself. There are always life lessons to take away with you. 🌸🌸🌸
Very fine video, BUT the title is totally misleading!!! The title should have been "Why online dating OFTEN GOES WRONG" or " Important things to consider for a succesfull online dating". I am not searching at all - I am married - but the topic interrests me like so many other things.
When I was dating, I tried out 3 different dating sites. Christian Mingle, Match.com and then finally Tinder. Tinder was the site that I met my guy on, and it was my favorite site of all of them. Whichever site you decide on, be transparent upfront about what you are looking for.
Ask yourself what are you looking for in a relationship at this age. Be honest, after all its just you. If marriage, flip the table and look at it from a mans point of view. If he's a solid and successful man, why would he do that? What do you offer that hasnt already been given to others? Love? Love changes and is a weak foundation for a long term relationship hence the high rate of divorce. Companionship? Great, but that doesnt require marriage. No, unless needy that well adjusted successful man realizes marriage brings him nothing but does present the risk of potential financial hazard. Most will avoid it accordingly.
Lets keep it a buck. Unless a widow, at 60 a woman should already be in a committed relationship and the center of an established home and family. If not its probably a sign of some very bad choices, inability to partner or inability to know when to keep her mouth or legs closed. Maybe both.

Hi, Yes, there are a lot of negative stories. I will be doing another video about online dating, but in the meantime, what are your main concerns?
I know three married couples that met online. I'm one of them. It's not all bad. Just be careful, as you would when you're not online. ❤❤

@@katstewart4343 Great advice!
I agree! A little optimism goes a long way.
Sound advise.
Don’t waste your time with people who lied on their profile. If you can’t trust their profile, what can you trust them with?
He lie lie lie he🤢😡🏃🏽♀️💩👎🏼🤮👇🏽🤡👿😊

What about all the scams in dating online? It appears people 60 and over seem to be a target.
@@lindamaxwell830 I’ll be talking a little about that in a future video.
Any recommendations on online dating sites?

What is a good date site for people over 60yrs young?
I used 3 sites. I will do a little more research and post a video specifically on that topic.
