+CarsandCameras i know why the mini bike makes the weird noise its because its running to rich the stock air box may look unrestrictive but it is ike neds to buy a high flow filter and adapter
i did the same thing with drilling the jet and trying to use the stock air box it just runs way to rich
Y'all should really do cam and carb swaps to get more hp and mph but your vids are cool and fun to watch. And you should consider putting a wheelie bar on the mini bike it outrageous.

Just received a 208 cc ironstone engine from northern tool ... Already have it disassembled, governor out rejetting the carb and swapping exhaust. On the lookout for a barn find go cart. Really like your channel, thanks for sharing.

I have a beautiful Manco streaker that I had growing up and I have refurbished it everything has been redone put a predator motor on it reupholster the seat my mini bike looks brand new it's gorgeous. I've been riding it and it brings back memories of when I was a kid growing up in the 70s. It's a lot of fun.

CarsandCameras Hey you guys, I just bought a 212 pred and I've seen some vids of people simply bypassing the governor by adding and removing some connecting rods to the outside of the motor as compared to breaking into the motor it's self, can you look into it and give me some feed back or maybe a vid of you guys comparing the difference.

Should put heavier valve springs in the mini bike it would keep the valves from floating and where did you guys get the jet drill set?

If you want the top end then get rid of that air box. It shrinks the smallest opening to something like 75% of the area of the carb opening. Just lose that box, get a new emulsion tube(gx140 tube), and bend a piece of 3/4 conduit for an exhaust pipe so its smooth. BIG difference. Just bought one myself. Also use a .036 or #64 drill bit to jet the main to something like a 90 jet.

These motovox and mbb80 frames are the best foundation for a fast mini bike. Light weight and strong. Just dont choke up on the handle bars cuz they will swerve and swivle. Stay back and straight

according to interwebs, the renault 5 could do a quarter mile in 19 seconds, and the turbo one could do 15 seconds.
that's not bad when you consider american cars like the camaro and mustang were in the same range at the time.
the waannaananaa sound is the motor reaching its highest rpm so the valves are floating put some heavier springs and also put some performance parts on it

+DarkLinkAD you don't need power to blow something up. Just high rpm's- long enough- and something will give. Valves might float- but my $ is on the connecting rod coming apart. Maybe these guys will get one of these predators, tie the throttle open and see!!!!!!

Ive got a real ruff memory on this but something about valve float limiting rpm around 4000 and rod throwing around 6000.
ive been told that they hold up even at 8400 rpm. at least i hope so cause that is my goal with my build off engine

how well/ long did the flywheel last after removing the governor?? I'm thinking to remove mines but a lot of Ppl say I will need the billet flywheel and connecting rod

The guy on the mini bike shouldnt be allowed to use his legs to push off ....... It should be all motor ...... In all 3 races he pushed the bike off of the line (giving that initial jump on the gocart ..) Re run the race and stop him from pushing off , I bet the end result will be way closer ......

for the most part, the less tires you have on the ground, the faster it will be. i bet you could put the same engine on both with the same set up, and the mini bike will still win the majority of the races. as long as the drivers are roughly the same weight
id love to see u put a 500cc 2 stroke dirt bike motor in and modify the break clutch and gas also shifter on right or left side and itd be a good straight pipe almost. and do the same for mini bike then take a 3 wheeler into a 2 wheeler. i've seen it done on youtube its easy its like putting together a baja mini bike

Have you ever had a flywheel explode? Those predator flywheels are known to come apart at 5k rpm.
make a detachable wheelie bar for the minibike where the bar is close to the ground so you don't get too high off the ground
I'd change the header pipe on the mini bike. The squared 90* angle on it is really hurting flow. Put a mandrel 90* on it an it'll flow a lot better, an probably give a little more acceleration an top speed.
