Mark Rober is such an inspirational person. He helped hundreds, or even thousands of people to become an engineer. Not only that. But he’s making the world a better place
When I was an undergrad in engineering many years ago, I worked on designing a wheelchair with many of these features, but never had the opportunity to realize. Now I'm finishing up a PhD in bioengineering, and my dissertation project is working on methods to enable kids with spinal cord injuries to move and use their muscles. I love the work that others are doing to help these kids. They're such an inspiration!
I needed a wheelchair in highschool. I remember one day, I was having a really bad day so my friends talked about how they'd "pimp my ride" to make the wheelchair cooler. It really lifted my spirits and I know you made this kid so joyful but doing all of this. You're an amazing human Mark.
That's so awesome! The thing is, most people don't realize that a "disability" of any kind can hit them any day. They could be in a car accident or have a sport-related injury like breaking a neck when diving into a pool. Or, they could be affected by an illness that makes them lose a limb or two or makes them have to rely on oxygen supplements the rest of their lives. It can happen at any age. BUT the most important thing to remember is it's NOT the end of the world. It's just a change in your life story!
This is the best video ever! My son plays wheelchair basketball also, and he's played against Cash's team! You can see his teammates wheeling around in the video. He's now so excited to play Cash again and tell him he watched his video! Way to go Mark! This had to have been such a special day for the whole family! What a gift!
Mark this one really touched my heart! I lost my oldest son 2 years ago, he had spinal bifida. I’m so glad you were able to help this family. Much respect ❤
Huge props to the parents and Mark and I absolutely love how Cash's sister reacted to Cash getting everything he wanted and more while she was watching him be happy. A lot of siblings would get jealous in her situation but she seems so happy and exited for her little brother to have fun and have easier life. Their parents raised their kids perfectly!
I absolutely love Cash's Dad. He is such a positive pillar of strength for Cash. So supportive. Best of wishes out to Cash and his family. Stay blessed.
Incredibly inspiring and heartwarming to watch. Cash's resilience is something we can all learn from. The engineering behind this wheelchair is seriously impressive too. Kudos to the team behind this project.

The fact that Mark has gone from being a NASA engineer/ scientist to an amazing UA-camr, gaining a well-deserved 45 million subscribers with inspiring and innovative videos, is remarkable. One thing I noticed was that he gained 150k views within the first 17 minutes of the video being published. Showing how much people care about his videos. All of this is well-deserved. I hope there will be more people like Mark to inspire and create videos like his.
Couldn’t stop smiling! Sweet little boy. Thank you Mark for sharing Cash and his wonderful family with us. Loved that his father and mother didn’t treat him as a helpless child. Cash is learning to be strong in so many ways. And what a cool ride. Thank you for sharing and have a wonderful day!
One of my favorite videos of yours! My grandson has Duchenne muscular dystrophy, and I sent this to my son and daughter-in-law. I knew Cash lived in Texas, but in a crazy coincidental moment, my son, daughter-in-law, and grandson met Cash and his dad at physical therapy the very next day! Turns out they go to the same physical therapy practice and live pretty close to each other. I’m hoping they’ll get to know each other better and see if perhaps Cash and my grandson could become friends. They’re even the same age! Thanks for a wonderfully inspirational video!
Bro I love this dudes dad. Such a stern supportive voice which would give him so much confidence rather than the iffy sort of unsure supportive that would make him feel unsure of himself. This kids dad is amazing and this kid is such a strong little dude to be so happy and positive about everything.
I am a Korean computer student who enjoys watching your videos. What I felt while watching this video was that when others fail, they only insult and criticize. However, someone acknowledges this failure and invokes courage to try again. And I applaud you for helping even those who seem uncomfortable to live normally like us!
This video legit made me teary eyed... Cash reminds me a lot of my son who also was born with spina bifida, even their normal wheelchairs are similar lol. He is extremely enthusiastic, always trying to say hi/bye and talk to anyone and everyone... and just has a can do attitude. Even when something is difficult for him, he just pushes until he triumphs or thinks of a different way to accomplish what he wants to do. He surprises me almost every day, I'm so proud of him.
@Merrunz I know how tough it must be for your son and I like how proud you are of him. May he reach the highest peaks of success in anything he aims for.

This was so awesome to see! I work with kids and adults with physical and developmental disabilities. This is proof to the world how special these folks are. Thank you, Mark, for your endless energy and advocacy. And thank you, Cash, for just being you!
This video made me tear up. As a new father it is so inspiring seeing such a caring family love their son no matter how many times they were told that they should give up on Cash. Hearing the father say “I could help you but you’d never know you can do it yourself” made me break down. They believe in their son with every fiber of their being, and I do too ❤️
Much the same, watching my two girls playing together in the lounge while watching this video with tears of happiness, seeing this father with so much love for his kids, a lot of big life changes to do the best for a child with physical challenges but they certainly not letting that stop them.

This dad is the best! Seems like such a supporting and caring father figure. Bravo. I wish nothing but the best for him and his family!
I'm in a chair, and nearing end of life. This video, you, his Dad, all give me hope for our future as a species. It really brought me some joy. Thank you.
Praying for blessings for you 🙏
This got me crying bad. Wishing the best for you
I hope you will be alright ❤️
Wish you better 🙏🙏🙏
I hope you be ok
3:47 "That would be cool." That’s all I needed to hear. "LETS GOOOOOOO!"
I have to give shout out to Dad, You sir are an inspiration yourself. Teaching your child to never give up, teaching him to push hard, teaching him to get back up ! Celebrating with your son as he overcomes an obstacle ! I'd shake your hand and give you a hug for being such an awesome dad and awesome human.
I hope there will be more people like Mark to inspire and create videos like his.
not ordinary
ain't no way you called a NASA scientist ordinary bro
i got to knew about him about 1 month ago from mr.beast video and now he is my inspiration, i hope i got a teacher like him in my childhood
Ove heard other creators describe it as every time he uploads: it's an event end people want to be there.
No NASA scientist is ordinary
Any time I start to lose faith in humanity, Mark comes along and shows just what genuine kindness is. Inspiring, to say the least. Thank you, Mark. 👏
True, humanity is going bad nowadays quickly.. 😢 🙏🏿
On point
I’m crying rn it was so nice
yeah he is a gem :)

Oh my goodness, I L9VE this video. I am so touched by this family's attitude.
This is such a crazy coincidence wow
Робер, ты в южнай Америке?
14:23 "thank you Mr.Mark" was just perfect.
❤
Cash has to be one of the best kids I’ve seen. He has amazing parents there. They are so supportive. He is a very lucky kid.
One of the only few places I can go for a genuine heart felt smile... This is what humanity needs to be... LOVE THIS!!!!!
As a wheelchair user myself it makes me very appreciative and happy to see there are people making stuff like this🙌 Specifically for kids like Cash 😁
My children and I watched this episode. We were truly inspired. Looking forward to seeing more. Thanks Mark

Mark rober always perceives failure a process to the success

This lad is an absolute legend, he also has AMAZING parents. His dad seems like a one in a million father. Truly inspirational.
MR. Rober, you are an awesome human. Never stop being you.
14:22 adorable❤
@Merrunz
I know how tough it must be for your son and I like how proud you are of him. May he reach the highest peaks of success in anything he aims for.
I love Mark's self deprecation, great to see such humble, warm-hearted creators
mark what u did here is so touching u made this kids life so much better. he has an amazing family who really wants the best for him, hes sucha happy kid..... so happy this happened
This made me smile, thank you mark rober for this great content.
Mark, this video made me cry out of pure happiness, this was the ultimate display of humanity's benevolent potential. I served in the Air Force for 8 years, and am now working at a job am not passionate about. I would do ANYTHING to be a part of your team making these fantasies come true in real life for children.
i dont know if all of their team needs to have a engineer background or not, but i totally support you, see if you can contact them on their website
We believe in you! Go get that job!
Bless you and your friends! You've revolutionized thew handicapped forever!
7:05 the way he and his sister look at each other in excitement as the wheelchair is revealed is honestly so cool
Cash’s parents are incredible. They’re so supportive and kind. Great video Mark!
I just wanted to say that this is one of the best, most uplifting videos I've seen in a long time. Cash is just so infectiously happy and strong-willed. He's definitely going to amazing places, and I'm so happy that you were there to help him!
Some wholesome stuff here, Mark. Hats off. Glad Cash would never forget this.
This project needs a huge crowd funding so that every person who needs this wheelchair gets one without any barrier.
Any time I start to lose faith in humanity, Mark comes along and shows just what genuine kindness is. Inspiring, to say the least. Thank you, Mark.
Why r u loosing faith in humanity every time
This video made me tear up🥲. I love seeing Mark using his brilliance and understanding of engineering to help people have better lives. Thanks u Mark for everything you’ve done for the people you’ve helped
Mark is so humble and sweet,my faith in humanity was restored after watching this
This is the coolest wheelchair ever! I cannot believe Mark Rober comes up with these awesome ideas. 🤣
fr
Splendid contribution, sir, anything else?
@@Reginald425 To be fair, most of the work was done by Scewo, he just added the bling.
Goodtimeswithscar needs to see this
No wait didn't Cash come up with the ideas
Finally, someone who takes the handicapped people seriously! Bravo Mark! If the majority of our engineers have been like him, the world would have been a different, far better place!
Before this blows up…

Yes! and here before this comment gets famous, How was china?

I was touched by how resilient the little boy was and how great that he got such an awesome wheelchair! When I was in a wheelchair for 17 years, ppl always pushed me. I got healed through a miracle.
I wish I could hear about your miracle!
My wife won’t stop chopping onions around the whole house. Today is to you Cash. You are an inspirational little boy. Never give up! You will teach the world gratefulness, resilience and fun.
Get out the pepper spray and retaliate!
Brother, you earned a subscriber today... Someone I love dearly deals with DMD, you're brilliant mind and shining heart has shown in this video that people can be soo compassionate and caring that we can ease other's suffering if we care enough. Keep up the great work, You're the best!!
Wow. Genuinely almost teared up during this. Such an amazing act from mark. 😊
I have never cried so much through a video before. I'm a teacher and this whole video was so wholesome. Seeing such a resilient child and his beautiful loving family get a great gift from mark and his team of engineers. This video was just a whole lot of love, which is how the world should be!
Crying because of a random video is insane
@@xGradedRandom? Mark is making the life of someone better by making a wheelchair for him and ur saying it’s a just a random video? People can cry for whatever they feel like and crying over a heartfelt video is not wrong.
@@xGraded This video isn’t “random”. It’s somebody making the crappy, awful world we live in a better place, one step at a time.
An inability to understand the emotional responses of others is a symptom of several psychological disorders. @@xGraded
@xGraded maybe you didn't read the part noting that I'm a teacher? I have taught children with disabilities so this video really hit home for me. In saying that, even if I wasn't a teacher, this is a very heartfelt video. It isn't just a random video on UA-cam. Oh and I and everyone else on this earth are allowed to cry whenever and wherever they like.
Definition of a great person. Thanks Rob for helping others. I’m 38 years young and I live your inspiration.
"I could help you, but you wouldn't know you can do it on your own." REALLY great parenting. 5 Star dad this kid has.
Mark, this is another one of your videos that I couldn't get through without shedding some tears!
This was just so uplifting to see. My little brother has Spinabifita and is only 8, he loves watching your videos and doing crunchlab building. From the very bottom of my heart i wanna say, thank you. Im really excited to show him this and im sure he will be too. You are helping lives in a better way every day thanks.
I hope your brother will be able to get one of these fantastic wheelchairs (doesn't have to have a nerf gun!) and bravo to you for being a great big sister.
1:25 my heart melted see how excited the dad was
1:30 the dance was hilarious
😂😂😂😂😂😂
This video has brought me so much joy. The resilience and perseverance of someone so young, who still has so much joy is truly beautiful to see. Thank you for bringing joy, putting a spotlight on positivity, and bringing so much creativity, enthusiasm, and hope. We need more people like you, Mark, and we need more enthusiasm for life like Cash.
his dad is propably best he could get. we need more ppl like this
Mr Rober, you have such a big heart. I cried through this whole podcast for joy at what you and your team have done for this family. You all truly rock!!!
this summer my grandma passed away to MS. she was wheel chair bound for the last 15 years of her life. this video is so heart warming as she would have loved having so many features and helpful innovations. she always struggled being independent as she couldn’t play with her grandchildren, reach anything, see over things, or even move the controller of her wheelchair. thank you mark for making such a difference for the differently abled.
