Marie My son….a chiropractor always said in relation to high blood pressure stress…have a pet. They lower blood pressure and their ability to spread their love will save you❤️That last sentence is mine. But it’s so true. Of course, only get a pet if you can commit to years of being your personal best and keep them always 😀
Can you put sources and references to the information you share in the video? It sounds very interesting, but without reference to studies or publications these may well be just your shower thoughts.
Please what's the video that was supposed to be linked in the description? The one on success plan and not wasting time figuring out what to do in the morning. There are a number of videos in the description and I can't tell
As a psycholgist working with burnout- I am so glad you included suppressing feelings as an energyvampire- its so true, feelings especially the negative are energy🎉
I used to have a list of all my meals for the month posted in the kitchen, this was AWESOME. It saved tons of time and money, plus our health was increased because I made healthy choices. I only bought the food needed to make THOSE meals and I just looked at the list and made it, dinner was always on time. Unfortunately my wife hated being confined to what was on the list and she wanted the freedom to eat whatever she wanted that day if she was "in the mood" for something else. This increased our food bill again, dinner is routinely late, dinner is a source of stress and we have less energy. Yeah, she has really "won" by doing it her way... Not a battle I am willing to die over, just frustrated that sometimes the biggest energy vampire is the person we are married to.
One tool that can help with that (it worked with my teen daughter) is to make a list of meals for a week (and be sure you do this in consultation with other family members) but don't assign the meals to a specific day! Each day you're going to have one of those meals for the week, but you may not know which one until that afternoon. It gives your wife flexibility but you're only buying the food you need for the week, so you're not running up the grocery bill.
Making too many “micro-decisions”!!! There are a few other ones that apply to me, but THIS ONE!!! I’ve got 2 kids at home, both on the autism spectrum, and I know I’m doing too much. I have got to make it stop by making better - and fewer - decisions. Thank you, Marie! 🙏🏽❤️
I’m a kindergarten teacher. This is so me. I also wear the same clothes depending on weather and activities. I’m known for wearing linen overalls, but it helps my mind preserve its energy to best show up for the kids. I need to try morning Sun exposure and working out. Thank you, Marie!
From one former teacher to another, this is an awesome way to reduce decision making and make more room for the good stuff in the classroom. THANK YOU for your work. You are seen and appreciated.
Crazy, I was JUST sitting here thinking about how TIRED I am and came across this! I just ate a bagel with cream cheese about an hour and THAT'S the answer. Thank you, Marie. 💕
I definitely suffer from decision fatigue. I cook 2-3 meals on Sundays. I am the type who can eat the same stuff all week. So that’s what I do. I also fast some days and it helps, because I don’t have to worry about food. I put my clothes out the night before. I only drink water, so I always have my filled water bottle with me. I also work from home but have to go out for community visits and meetings sometimes.
And we're so glad you found us, Sharleen. Let us know if we can send you any additional resources - we love hearing from you over at support@marieforleo.com. We'll get you taken care of ❤
My worst stress causer is my cell phone, since I’m older. I don’t believe I’ll ever get used to the distractions of my phone. I am a very intimate connected person and conversations through txts really stress me. Im from the generation where we made plans for coffee, tea, and we had great times doing this. I’ll never get used to a Merry Christmas wish via txts. You might as well just smack me in the face with the knowledge that I’m not important to you to pick us a phone. A verbal greeting is real to me. That’s the way I and my generation did things and it’s really hard for us
We appreciate this perspective so very much, Nancy. And to be honest - we could all stand a break from our phones, and connecting in other ways is a great place to start. Thank you so much for sharing this with us! 💖
Yes this new way of communicated sucks and we are more disconnected than ever but it is the new way and if someone text s you Merry Christmas, then you are important to them! Its just the way people communicate these days (unfortunately).BUT.. Be happy and grateful you have people that do think of you in order to even get that text, so many people don't. When you get the text, reply back "Merry Christmas to you too! If you have time to catch up later, let me know, would love to chat" then see if they make time to go further before you get your feelings hurt. xo
As an introvert I thank God for texting. I always dread having to verbally talk on the phone but now that texting is around I feel a weight has been lifted. I work with animals, people's pets to be exact, and I am one of those who prefer them to people actually. But I love Marie, and always enjoyed her videos, but now I can watch her on utube😊💖...I feel I have the best job in the world and your idea of Thank You in the morning or really at any time of the day is crucial for me and when something great happens I also give credit to the provider of that good fortune and give out with Thank you God💖💖💖
Thank you 😊 so much for your 💜💕 support and conscious choices that will give healthier results without guilt 😉 since we know our decisions can make us drained or lazy!! Sometimes we don't have the finances for that health change we know is important 😊 for us as young lady especially after 50yrs 🗝️ old!!
We're so, so happy you're here, Sophia. And it's never too late to learn new things about our health! We're always here to cheer you on and reassure you that any step forward is a step in the right direction. You've got this! ❤
Love all of these tips - some I do already but can always do better! My therapist says the same thing about feelings - must acknowledge to get thru, don’t ignore. Wish I could get morning sunshine more - I know I would feel better - but we are in the middle of crappy gray winter here in the Midwest.
We hear you loud and clear! From the gray winter to feeling our feelings, it can be a challenge to stay motivated. Be gentle with yourself and give yourself what you need, Patricia. Sending big hugs and lots of warmth ☀
OMG - that was brilliant about decision fatigue. This morning working from home. I was just getting into some data analysis, and my partner asks me what are we having for tea. I blew up! It was not something that needed to be decided upon there and then, it was like my boundaries of working were crashed in on and I dialled out of my focus. So one thing I didn't know was decision fatigue and I'll make sure I've got a plan for tea (dinner ) so Im not asked at a moment Im really focused. Thanks for the validation
This is such a great example of what happens when we're overwhelmed with decision fatigue! We appreciate you sharing this so very much. What a way to illustrate how we all feel sometimes! 😘 Sending love your way (and lots of tea 💖).
Others using social media to make many me just cunsuming helpful advice like this and sometimes end up scrolling for nething I feel like you can't learn everything from social media
Working out is definitely the best! As a mum I started going to the gym and they have a Creche so u can drop ur kids off and I have 2 hours to myself every morning and I am Such a better mama now 🥰
...but what about that sweater 'tho? It's straight fire! Being an expressive-creative, decision fatigue can be a bit tricky to navigate, huh? We need "aqueducts" to channel that flow.
Great 😃 Video Marie 💯 Looking lovely 🤩 and radiant 😍 💕 Where is your jumper from? Could you do a mini series about the 6 vampire energies you mentioned and talk about the alternatives in a more in depth manner?
Marie thank you so much for this! I have a question though: How about if you are a morning person and your best time to create is between 9 and 12. I personally feel that this window is crucial for me and if I exercise or do anything else that is not working during this time, I feel like I missed my chance to do my best creative work. How do you do to avoid that afternoon fatigue?
Such a great question, Mariana. You're absolutely not alone, either - so many of us experience that same fatigue in the afternoons! Shoot us an email at support@marieforleo.com so we can hook you up with some free Time Genius resources. 🥳
Thank you for this video! I needed it! I spend a lot of time alone and associate hanging out with others as being tiring but that just goes to show how much I lack socialization 😮💨 Decision fatigue also affects me. I have my routines but sometimes I feel like I'm in a rut and not learning/ practicing new skills. How do you keep your decisions simple and routines in place and still feel like you're growing personally?
What an incredible question. We'd love to share some resources with you - shoot us an email (if you'd be so kind) at support@marieforleo.com and we'll hook you up ❤❤
You are not tired. There’s nothing to do, nothing fun or interesting around. When you have something you are always active. Is not you , is the lack of good environment.
Social isolation is actually giving me energy 😂 That is why psychologist are inadapted to people with autism. 😅 they can try to solve your problems with you but they give advice that are made for non autistic people Being active, going outside, seeing people, doing my works on time. Hey Voca-Voca! We completely understand. If you find you get energized from social isolation then that's 100% okay. All of our needs are different so if you need more social isolation time, you can absolutely give that to yourself :) We support whatever works best for you!

Undone work causes stress, and thus a feeling of exhaustion. Tiredness from doing work gives a feeling of fulfillment and that is healthy.
This is so true!
I agree
As a psycholgist working with burnout- I am so glad you included suppressing feelings as an energyvampire- its so true, feelings especially the negative are energy🎉
We're so glad to hear it! And we couldn't agree more - we love that you shared this perspective. Thank you for being here ❤

My fav part of this video that hits me: "Thank You" in the morning.🥳
It's a pretty fun practice, huh? 🙌🎉
Great video! I’d also recommend getting bloodwork to reveal any possible vitamin deficiency. This could be an easy fix.
Very true. Found out my iron level were super low when I did this
Running a business will definitely give decision fatigue! People would ask, “would you like this for here or to go?” And I could just scream! Lol
This is so helpful... let's keep acknowledging our emotions. Thank you Marie

Love to hear it, Gloria. Thank you so much for being here 😊
Question re: tracking how foods make you feel: How long after eating should you wait to determine how your food is affecting you?
started doing little exercises while watching this. Feel better immediately. Thank you!
Wonderful! 💖
More topics on energy pls! What do you eat throughout the day?
I find that if certain food does feel like it energies you, it didn't last long. It can take energy away, but I wouldn't rely on it as a stable source
If I use phone in morning it’s to put on a meditation track and then to listen to a book on my audible account, usually something about spirituality.
That sounds like a great way to use your phone, Steve! If it's in favor of setting yourself up for success, then it's a win :)
I am here bcz I am exhausted as I type this text.

Apparently, that morning sun first thing in the morning resets your circadian rhythms, telling your body to go to sleep within 12 to 16 hours.
It totally can have an affect, Mike! ☀

Peope drain my energy.. having a social life is the worst thing for an introvert 😂
We totally hear you, Ahlem! And if you find a social life isn't your thing that's okay to. You're the best person to give yourself what you need. 💗
This video focuses on "I" what about women who have to look after kids and parents who are dependent on them. Can you make a video on that
Love this suggestion. Thank you so much for asking and sharing with us ❤We made a note to share with the team!
You are not tired. There’s nothing to do, nothing fun or interesting around. When you have something you are always active. Is not you , is the lack of good environment.
