the third brother was Sigmaron (alpha, sigma, omega). when scooped up by chaos gods, he was actually tossed into the realm of fantasy, and was later elevated to become the god emperor known as Sigmar.

There's a theory that the Old Ones (the guys who fought the Necrontyr back in the day) created the world of Warhammer Fantasy as a sort of pocket dimension to test warp-based powers and sorcery among mortals, back in times when the warp was placid, pre-War in Heaven. Since getting slapped up by the Necrons and dying, the fantasy world became mostly isolated from the rest of the universe because the Old Ones are presumably the only ones with the knowledge to travel to this plane.
Since the fantasy realm was created within the warp, it is touched by it. This explains how the chaos gods and some major daemons share influence between both the fantasy realm and the outside 40k realm.
Though a bit of a stretch, and never to be officially confirmed, I could theoretically believe that Sigmar is a primarch, potentially even the third head of the hydra, put in the fantasy realm with no way to get out during the great warping when all the primarchs were scattered.

I've always theorised about ingo pech being the third head , interesting discussions to be had . As he was described as being slightly taller than other alpha legionaries, also when dorn meets alpharius I believe he was using omegon and ingo pech first captian as decoys seeing if rogal knew which one was him . Also pech was at the battle of Pluto under harrowmaster kel selonius so 🤷 also its a possibility that dorn killed pech at the battle for Pluto and not alpharius .

  • @CharmS354
    @CharmS354 3 роки тому +32

Alright, if we are doing crazy theories then we gotta do the Kel Silonius one. Long and short, when Alpharius died at pluto he had a brain copy made of Kel to put on top of himself using crazy alpha psycher secrets. And in the book it's heavily implied that Kel got some Alpharius memories, it's just not explained how much.
Toss that in with the whole "stealing pure geneseed research and not giving it to Bile" thing, and now you've got Alpharius and Omegon both secretly alive. Omegon trying to fight Choas (and possibly the Imperium) with perfected super marines, and Alpharius infiltrating the research trying to make himself a new body to get the rest of his soul back. Or maybe working together? Idk man, it's nuts but the books make it possible.
Plus it'd be an awesome explanation for why the Alpha legion is simultaneously unbeatable and also absolute pushovers. They are to busy fighting themselves!

The mythical hydra is usually depicted with 3 heads.
    Edit:
Could Alpharius/Omega have a special psychic link with their sons that allows them to transfer their conscience (s) to new bodies? Some Alpha legion marines essentially look just like their primarchs. Therefore, specially modified Alpha-legion Astartes would make the perfect vessel for their primarch's conscience, incase either Alpharius or Omegon fell in battle.

Well, aside from Alpharius being able to just disguise himself as, or body swap with, his legionnaires, each and every one of their legionnaires is surgically altered to look identical to and trained to function the same as their primarchs. Their intention was always for their legion to be able to be effective and functional no matter the situation, as any legionnaire can fill quite literally *any* role at the drop of a hat.

While Omegon may have been learned about later, Cypher was a deep plant, never meant to be learned of. This is why he is able to slip in and out of everywhere, including the Emperor's palace. • @sonicwingnut
    @sonicwingnut 3 роки тому +1

My theory is there are MORE than three - Alpharius' special primarch power was his skill with genetics, and Omegon was a clone that he himself created, then kept secret. Omegon would act as his body double, however this went to hell when the clone fell to Chaos and, acting as Alpharius, took most of the legion with him. After Omegon was killed by Rogal Dorn, the real Alpharius attempted to salvage what loyalists he could by infiltrating his own legion. He also created multiple additional clones of himself to act as proxies, however these clones were designed to be ultimately loyal to him and most importantly, less powerful. Still far more powerful than the average Astartes, but at best demi-primarchs. It was one of these who was supposedly killed by Guilliman - I suspect if Guilliman ever confirms this he will say that the fight was far too easy for an encounter with a fellow primarch. The upside to his legion now being classed as traitors was this allowed him to operate behind enemy lines, which is why there are still significant parts of the Alpha Legion that are (as far as they know) agents of Chaos. Alpharius and his cabal at the head(s) of the organisation manipulate their movements where possible. Elements of the Imperium such as some members of the Inquisition are aware of this.
Perhaps ironically, the head of the Hydra is the 40K equivalent of Nick Fury. And is very much alive and active.

There's John Wick(He was content living out his life after the Horus Heresy as a farmer on an agri world until some traitor astartes cyclonic torpedoed his dog), B A Barraccus(He really hates warp travel to the point that they have to drug his milk to knock him out), Bill S Preston Esquire and Ted "Theodore" Logan(They're trying to compose the perfect song that will make the Chaos Gods chill out and bring peace to the multiverse, but are currently stumped), Twilight Sparkle(Their gestation pod got flung across the multiverse where they almost instantly transformed into a purple cartoon pony with OCD and anxiety, a shard of the Void Dragon[who also had their memories scrambled] is trying to help him/her), Kevin D Roundtree(His gestation capsule got flung backwards in time where he became the CEO of GW, currently the Chaos Gods of Greed and Stupidity have him in their thrall), and last but not least, Rodney James Dio(Need I say more?).

Here is my theory: the emporer created 2 primarchs for the alpha legion on purpose, but when they were scattered, BOTH were duplicated. 2 landed on terra and were found by the emporer, one of whom penned the codex hydra later on. The duplicates landed somewhere else together. I'll refer to them as A1 and A2 for the pair on terra and O1 and O2 for the pair that were discovered later. Here is the tricky bit: having found 2 primarchs on terra, the emporer and malcador believed theyd accounted for all of them. A1 hides A2's existence on terra through omission; they are both present but trade off playing the roll of Alpharius. Feeling the missing bit of their soul, they search for and eventually find Omegon. A1 and A2 hide from Omegon that there are in fact 2 of them, and O1 and O2 do the same, with each pair BELIEVING that there are 3 of them as each pair hides the secret extra sibling from the other pair. The emporer and malcador believe there are 2. The visions of 2 in the lab are true as there was meant to be 2. Alpharius and Omegon's theory of being duplicated by the warp are ALSO true. The hydra has 3 heads, AND A TAIL. I recon 2 are dead, Dorn got one and Guilliman got a second one, but which ones is anyone's guess. What's more, through various secret means it seems that they may be trying to resurrect one or both of the dead siblings via cloning, as they have been slowly gathering and stealing most of what would be necessary to replicate the primarch project, including an alpha level psyker capable of powering a beacon not dissimilar from the golden throne. If they succeed, the hydra will have more than 3 heads.

My head canon is the third head represents the Legion, or perhaps specific Legionaires, who have had the psycho conditioning that 40k marines get for basically mind control and rapid training but for scans of Alpharius. Even if they don't have his body, they have his personality, and all his knowledge at the time of scan, so effectively the whole legion can act as third primarch

Which honestly would make trying to track them down even more maddening because they could be honestly trying to tell you the truth and the information they give you turn out to in fact be wrong, which would make trying to pick apart the web even more maddening. I cool idea I came up with for the Alpha Legion is that Alpharius / Omergon are the entire legion. Like if one of the 2 dies the consciousness is moved to one of the others in the legion. Thus the only way to kill the Primarchs is the kill the entire Legion. It would add a whole need meaning to "I am Alpharius" Additionally, they can move their consciousness from one to the other so even without dying any legionaire could truly be Alhparius at any time.

The way I see it you have Two Primarch's Alpharius and Omegon which is obviously representing two of the three heads, and then you have the 3rd head. Well to kinda take a look through the Alpha legion lore which some of it hasn't aged quite as well as others. We know that Alpharius tended to wear plain unadorned power armor (used to be Omegon before HOH) and had the ability to alter his perception to others i.e allow him to appear astares size allowing him to move through the legion with impunity. Omegon seemed have another ability giving Sheed Ranko head of the Lenerian terminator guard his blood to allow him to take a some fraction of his power making them a sort of demi-primarch if you will. Now this is in my opinion where the 3rd head is the Legion itself being able to make pseudo Primarch's, and while a good chunk of the legion looks like their primogenitor maximizing cohesion. We have to remember the mythology of the hydra itself the heads are just a means to end it is how they work with the body that is important each head is expendable so long as the body lives new heads will regrow. I suspect even though one of the twins is dead the legion may have some way to revive their Primarchs hence when one of the twins died it was no huge deal to the legion which is very uncharacteristic of astares when their gene sire falls.

    Some spoilers and details:
    - The Emperor knows about the twin (Let's consider the canonical Omegon to be the first found of the two) as we can see it during the simulation He plays with Malcador when the Hydra card divides into two, one siding with Horus, and one with the Imperium. The reason Omegon being the first found and narrator of the Primarch book is due to the fact of his connection to Malcador, something we see in The Serpent Beneath, when Omegon has a blank grey power armor with no Legion marks, something we see also in the Knights Errant.
    - The twin thing was made when the capsule of Alpharius entered the warp rift with one Alpharius capsule falling outside the Palace, and another ended up far away.
    - Both lost Primarchs (The Lost and the Purged) had two separated tragedies and no link to the Alpha Legion, otherwise, it would have appeared inside the Primarch novel.
    - It is heavily implied that the third head of the Hydra is the Legion itself, especially given the fact we saw in Pretorian of Dorn and The Serpent Beneath, with the Primarchs enhancing legionnaires with their blood or even interchanging souls and memories with them.
I hope we see more of them and their unique traits along the future novels, especially Omegon's works for the Sigilite.

I think it could be more akin to the nature of the mythological creature. Meaning some form of perpetullity. Not like Vulkan, more like the Emperor's ability to reincarnate, perhaps as long as one exists, so long as they are not killed together. Then perhaps one acts as a tether for the other's soul, allowing the other to reincarnate and find the surviving twin. This mechanic would bypass souls being claimed by chaos or ending up in the warp.

There were 21 primarchs and 20 primarch souls
    2 missing ones for homebrew
Alpharius Omegon is one primarch soul
Like in all other chapters the marines do have a bit of their primarchs soul in them like which explains stuff like the gain sanguinius memory during the black rage.
I think with the alpha legion as the marines were closer to their primarchs then any other legion it was even more so. Even more considering the primarchs souls was already split.
The two primarchs did die but their souls completely split up upon every legionary every alpha legion Marine is now Alpharius.
This would really fit with the theme. No matter which marine youn kill there will always be alpharius remaining. The legion as an entirety is now the primarch.
And now we get to the question of loyalty is alparius Omegon still loyal hads he been loyal or will he be loyal yes and no.
You simply can’t tell anymore some legionaries are clearly more fallen to chaos then others. Some there are marines more tending to the Aloharius or the Omegon side of things remembering the prophecy by the aliens.
As a whole the alpha legion chose neither and both.

1B: It represents the three paths the Alpharius and Omegon perceived, rather than just the two laid out by the Cabal.
1C: It represents three paths the Legion would end up walking - loyalist, traitor, something in the middle.
2: There are 3 Primarchs of the Alpha Legion, and possibly only the Emperor and or Dark Gods know how many and or which are actually dead, if any.
3: The 3 heads of the Hydra represent Alpharius, Omegon and their Legion - 3 equal elements.
I'd lean more towards option 2 because that just seems like such a perfect Alpha Legion reveal for the future - regardless of how many are actually still alive and where their individual loyalties lie.

Alpharius and Omegon share one soul, so they are a soul in 2 bodies, this is said a lot in the lore. In warhammer souls are importan and you can resurrect people if find their souls in the inmaterium. So there is no 3 heads only 2 but if you kill one the other can resurrect the death one througt a legionare, that's explain primarch power level Alpharius being killed throught the heresy.
With this theory you have the regenerative power of the Hydra in game, so can make some sense.

Or some sort of possession like Lucius the Eternal uses, possibly with a willing Astartes as a host. The big difference between those cases and Alpharius is their soul is transferred where his is copied. So the number of clones can vary and the only way to kill him would be to kill all his clones within a limited timespan.

The Alpha legion has had the Primarch Project Data since the Heresy, on top of already being proficient at psyker mental reconstruction and far advanced medical specialty with reconstructive surgery. Whoever died to dorn is irrelevant because the Emporer dismisses bringing Ferrus back, and Slainguinius/Horus cant come back due to being soul splattered. This shows that it is possible to bring a soul of a primarch back into a body. Which they have ample bodies that are lore capable of becoming a primarch. Which is implied that they are going to psyker transfer the soul of Alpharius (Omegon?) Into Silonius. I think its believable that if it even one was killed by Dorn that they could be "revived"
