Emmy Awards 1993

Die 45. Emmy-Verleihung 1993 wurde damals von RTL spät in der Nacht gezeigt, ein Stück darauf habe ich auf einer alten Kassette gefunden.
George Wendt und John Ratzenberger (beide aus „Cheers“) hielten eine kurze Ansprache für Laurie Metcalf, die einen Emmy als Beste Nebendarstellerin in einer Comedyserie bekam (Roseanne)
Larry David einen Emmy für das beste Drehbuch einer Comedyserie (Seinfeld)

Im rewatching Roseanne right now...I know why i didnt really watch it when it was popular.. its too real... hits you in the best and worst places

I noticed that..wonder why.. rose annes husband accepted the award for he said she was sick at the time

John Goodman was and it was cool to see him happy for his co star Laurie.

Probably because award shows never really respected the show. It was a miracle that Laurie and Roseanne actually got anything. They ignored John Goodman which is insane.

Roseanne, didn’t win when she was first nominated a year before in 1992
So she decided not to attend the 93 awards
