My mate 10 pro made it from release until last week before finally shattering. 3 years of no case, retrieving it from a river, and even driving off, forgetting it was on my car. But last week, I hopped out of my truck, and forgot it was on my lap, it tumbled a little bit, but completely shattered. Freaking impressed. It sounded like when I would scratch the underside of the top of the classroom student desks back in the day, those ones I put up with were made of some kind of plastic for the surface, and the rest made out of a metal of some kind.
Lol it sounded great to me I really wanted a go.
In all fairness the tests are done in the same order...scratch , flame, and bend test. From my point of view a phone no matter what price or specs it has should be functional 100% after all these tests, in order to pass them. Because this could actually happen in a real life scenario, the front glass can get scratch (place the phone face down on a hard surface with small imperfections) and afterwards without realizing apply pressure on it (tight clothing) , I believe it should be placed on the shelf of shame.
Well it did kind of pass the bend test it didn't break the phone itself is really good so I thin it doesn't deserve the shelf of shame
@@dave3103 for me the Mate 20 Pro is a Top 3 phone for 2018 but easy could have been the best phone im 2018 in my opinion if they didnt mess up the speaker in the usb Port. But also if it wants to be the best phone it should not crack. Its fair to say that other phones dont crack because they are build a little bit better. Still for me one of the best phones after the OP6T and Note 9

Definitely deserves to be in the shelf of shame.. If samsung can survive with a curved glass, Huawei can re-design the phone's structure as well to make it sturdy.
thats why i avoidchinese branded cheaper phones that copy ,its a scam ,they did not spend all the time and money samsung did on making sure their devices last long
