must agree, i had the 10 lite for a business phone with 2 sim cards on and it worked perfect all the time. Battery life on the mate series is also outstanding it can go 2 days with on demand use !

I was so fascinated by this phone i used to watch each and every review video. After watching most of the videos, just before 3 days i bought this device. And in real it is beyond the expectations. Battery life,, charging speed. Camera no doubt it has the best. Night mode and ultra wide angle is insane, the face recognition works even in the dark room and is the fastest. No doubt it's the best ph till this date.
@@maxcrawford7109 I don't have Snapchat but if I want to take a pic for WhatsApp I always take the shot off the app then post it as it only offers straight forward camera no zoom no macro/wide angle and I assume no night mode. But I now take a lot more shots than I used to and my shots actually now look half decent. Rendering inanimate object to walk and dance around is pretty cool to but does take a little percistance slowly moving the selfie cam around the object. I now want the face unlock tech on the rear of my phone as well

I am pleased to say I have this device.I can only recommend this phone. I used to be a big iPhone fan and sadly in the past 2 years they have not come up with any improvements or innovations but high prices. Huawei and its technology is far advanced in the industry that is why they ask for that kind of price which is still lower than its competitors.

Battery life is crazy; my brother has a XS Max. We went out for a long day, took a lot of photos etc. Granted we used his phone a bit more, but by the time the iPhone died, I was at 50%. WIth moderate use I can definitely get 2 full days out of this phone + never saw a phone charge this fast.
How much screen on time? I barely get 6 hours. My regular P20 got 6-7 hours. Same use, no difference between that. I am going to ping it to Android 9.0. A lot of people are complaining for bad battery life. The P20 has the bulletproof EMUI 8.0. I never had any issues.

@@opelvectra1700td This phone is just not about the camera, the wide angle camera is amazing. The AI is actually pretty good. I've had samsung and iphones and no phone is as impressive as this one. This has to be the best phone that came out this year. And it's pretty freaking handy if you forget to charge your phone, you plug it in for 45 minutes and you're good to go. I'm never out of juice, the s8 and s9 were pretty crap battery wise and they're at almost the same price point, you cannot compare phones that are a lot cheaper than the huawei mate 20 pro and say that they are essentially the same thing. Because i can garantee you that they're not.

Switch to mate 20 pro. I have one i use it whole day from school to home from 7am to 5:30pm and I also using cellular data. My phone still got 25 - 30 percent battery when i got home.
I personally would prefer the Xiaomi MI Mix 3, but I strongly recommend you switch to Huawei Mate 20 Pro, better than any iPhone will ever be in every single way.

Im living in the US and using a Mate 20 pro, only problem is no warranty, if i drop it and break it goodbye $1,150 dollars and it was that expensive because i have the 256gb and 8gb ram version. You can get the 128gb 6gb ram. For less than 900 but so far I love this phone
The US is not the only market in the world. I got mine here in Portugal and I love it. Europe is a huge market. US citizens are too consumed by iPhone. It's a lot harder to break into that market. Huawei has been around Europe for at least 10 years.

2 years with this wonderful piece of equipment. Since Huawei Mate 40 Pro won't be officially available in my country there is no need to upgrade. Or in other words after more than 2 years since this phone was launched it's hard to find some serious riverly. Even Samsung S20 Ultra can't match screen resolution in terms of ppi. And after all this time it depreciated to the point that with such impressive specs it's more than twice cheaper to buy than newer flagmans. No google services problem on this device either :) IT seems Huawei has put so much cutting edge tech at that time that it held up to aging phenomenally. 11 points out of 10. Much recommended!
I was first very hesitant to switch from an active Samsung user (previous phone was S7, S4 before that), but I needed some change without touching Apple and I have no regrets whatsoever so far getting the Mate 20 Pro! The battery life is nuts on this thing. Almost managed to pull of 3 days with semi-regular WhatsApp and Facebook usage with a 50-80% screen brightness. The camera and it's properties are amazing and the phone is really fast. The only downsides I've picked up is that the phone (in Midnight Blue at least) is very slippery from the box. I had to get a proper bumper case that has a good grip with the protective shell. Then again when you pay this much for a phone, you do want it protected so no biggie there - this was coming slippery or not. I also don't like that the selfie camera feels to have a small built-in beautify filter that I can't seem to be able to toggle off (or at least can't find where?). It's not over the top, but can be seen with a sharp eye especially in low light selfies. Size-wise it did take me some time to get used to a long slim'ish phone, but after a while it feels really food and the great screen makes it look absolutely beautiful. Only time can tell will the phone bend after being hours in my pocket - seriously hope that's not a problem with phones this expensive lmao.

I can't accept the operation of the iPhone at all. It was a backward operation 15 years ago. You can't copy things directly from my computer to my mobile phone. And it doesn't have the concept of folders. Everything is messy. As a developer, I can't immediately test my released APP, so I can modify it at any time! So I don't normally use this hard-to-use iPhone. His camera is not good, and then the battery storage is too low, and his experience is not good. It seriously affects my work and life.

Even on a 40 feet deep of water. It did survive. But if what you’re after is android. There’s the note 9, the asus ROG phone, the lg quad dac smartphones, or the Pocophone/oneplus 6 smartphone if you’re into budget.

Got my mate 20 pro in early November 2018 and I'm still very happy with the device! Huawei has truly impressed me. I'm hugely disappointed that newer Huawei phones no longer come with GMS Let's see how Huawei will do next few months...... I'm definitely not ready for an upgrade yet 😀😀

I'm using mate 20 Pro right now but I'm having an issue of lag when watching 1080p videos. It's absolutely frustrating! Didn't have this problem on the note9 my sister uses.

It's sooo gimmicky in comparison, whereas you can actually use it in Samsung's case if you wanted to without being frustrated and have a smooth experience. HOLY SHIT YOU MUST BE RETARDED. And the display has the same resolution, but that doesn't mean it looks as good. A perfect example would be comparing the iPhone XR display to any random 1080p display. Even though it has lesser pixels, it looks much better because of it's superior contrast and colours. The same applies here, except for the fact that the Samsung DOES have the same amount of pixels. On top of that you can tweak every display setting ever and choose various presets that appeal to you. Samsung is considered the best in the display market. They have customers such as Apple and Google because even they know that Samsung makes the best of the best in display. Don't compare it to Huawei's poorly tweaked Chinese display. It's sad to see you doing so. And I can't stress enough how ugly the UI is. It's by far the worst I've ever used on an Android. It's worse than Xiaomi's and Vivo's. The icons and the overall feels just gave me chills. It's disappointing considering it has such good hardware. But of course someone like you wouldn't care since you actually thought you could compare it to the UI of Samsung so I'm just gonna leave it at that. Oooh and how can I forget about that notch.
The note 9 has a better display almost the same size battery a headphone jack higher storage options, more ram and a stylus that works as a Bluetooth remote.
I went from the Galaxy S8 to the One plus 6T and sent it back after a week. There wasn't enough innovation in it to be tied into a two year contract. I was going to get the Mate 20 Pro but the Mate 30 Pro is released in September/October so I will just stick with a rolling contract until that is released. It looks amazing!
Yeah, the issue is due to the LG OLED panels. Had the similar issue of smearing of black color on Pixel 2 XL that uses the same screen. If they know all the faulty phones are ones that use LG made panels, why are they still investing in them and let the customer gamble?

I took the plunge over a year ago with the mate 10 Pro and LOVE it. There are things like the IR Blaster that you simply won't find on ANY other flagship phone of this caliber. I can't say enough good things about this phone- the battery is phenomenal as well. If you're in the fence, make the jump- you won't be disappointed!
The phone is simply amazing, I absolutely love it. The only con I have is the temperamental finger print sensor, Its far too inconsistent for my liking.
Some say the more you unlock it, it gets faster cuz it's "learning", which means it gets faster over time. But registering one finger print twice can also do the trick
US carriers will not sell them. So, will average Americans in the US buy them? Nope. But they are huge among the Chinese, and they are pretty popular at colleges. As for carrier compatability, it will not work on Verizon or Sprint, but AT&T supports them no problem, and T-Mobile kind of does. T-Mobile is an interesting case because they are a GSM carrier but they use some weird cell bands that make it so they aren't the same as everyone else.

The reason for this is that Huawei is backed and subsidized in some ways by the Chinese Government. The concern is that Huawei would create backdoors in their phones and networks for the Chinese Government. It hasn't been proven but... ZTE did it for sure so it's certainly possible.

This has to be the best phone that came out this year. And it's pretty freaking handy if you forget to charge your phone, you plug it in for 45 minutes and you're good to go.
I'm never out of juice, the s8 and s9 were pretty crap battery wise and they're at almost the same price point, you cannot compare phones that are a lot cheaper than the huawei mate 20 pro and say that they are essentially the same thing. Because i can garantee you that they're not.

Im living in the US and using a Mate 20 pro, only problem is no warranty, if i drop it and break it goodbye $1,150 dollars and it was that expensive because i have the 256gb and 8gb ram version. You can get the 128gb 6gb ram. For less than 900 but so far I love this phone

US citizens are too consumed by iPhone. It's a lot harder to break into that market. Huawei has been around Europe for at least 10 years.

2 years with this wonderful piece of equipment. Since Huawei Mate 40 Pro won't be officially available in my country there is no need to upgrade. Or in other words after more than 2 years since this phone was launched it's hard to find some serious riverly. Even Samsung S20 Ultra can't match screen resolution in terms of ppi. And after all this time it depreciated to the point that with such impressive specs it's more than twice cheaper to buy than newer flagmans. No google services problem on this device either :) IT seems Huawei has put so much cutting edge tech at that time that it held up to aging phenomenally. 11 points out of 10. Much recommended!
I was first very hesitant to switch from an active Samsung user (previous phone was S7, S4 before that), but I needed some change without touching Apple and I have no regrets whatsoever so far getting the Mate 20 Pro! The battery life is nuts on this thing. Almost managed to pull of 3 days with semi-regular WhatsApp and Facebook usage with a 50-80% screen brightness. The camera and it's properties are amazing and the phone is really fast. The only downsides I've picked up is that the phone (in Midnight Blue at least) is very slippery from the box. I had to get a proper bumper case that has a good grip with the protective shell. Then again when you pay this much for a phone, you do want it protected so no biggie there - this was coming slippery or not. I also don't like that the selfie camera feels to have a small built-in beautify filter that I can't seem to be able to toggle off (or at least can't find where?). It's not over the top, but can be seen with a sharp eye especially in low light selfies. Size-wise it did take me some time to get used to a long slim'ish phone, but after a while it feels really food and the great screen makes it look absolutely beautiful. Only time can tell will the phone bend after being hours in my pocket - seriously hope that's not a problem with phones this expensive lmao.

I can't accept the operation of the iPhone at all. It was a backward operation 15 years ago. You can't copy things directly from my computer to my mobile phone. And it doesn't have the concept of folders. Everything is messy. As a developer, I can't immediately test my released APP, so I can modify it at any time! I'm using mate 20 Pro right now but I'm having an issue of lag when watching 1080p videos. It's absolutely frustrating! Didn't have this problem on the note9 my sister uses.

It's sooo gimmicky in comparison, whereas you can actually use it in Samsung's case if you wanted to without being frustrated and have a smooth experience. HOLY SHIT YOU MUST BE RETARDED. And the display has the same resolution, but that doesn't mean it looks as good. A perfect example would be comparing the iPhone XR display to any random 1080p display. Even though it has lesser pixels, it looks much better because of it's superior contrast and colours. The same applies here, except for the fact that the Samsung DOES have the same amount of pixels. On top of that you can tweak every display setting ever and choose various presets that appeal to you. Samsung is considered the best in the display market. They have customers such as Apple and Google because even they know that Samsung makes the best of the best in display. Don't compare it to Huawei's poorly tweaked Chinese display. It's sad to see you doing so. And I can't stress enough how ugly the UI is. It's by far the worst I've ever used on an Android. It's worse than Xiaomi's and Vivo's. The icons and the overall feels just gave me chills. It's disappointing considering it has such good hardware. But of course someone like you wouldn't care since you actually thought you could compare it to the UI of Samsung so I'm just gonna leave it at that. Oooh and how can I forget about that notch.

The note 9 has a better display almost the same size battery a headphone jack higher storage options, more ram and a stylus that works as a Bluetooth remote.
I went from the Galaxy S8 to the One plus 6T and sent it back after a week. There wasn't enough innovation in it to be tied into a two year contract. I was going to get the Mate 20 Pro but the Mate 30 Pro is released in September/October so I will just stick with a rolling contract until that is released. It looks amazing!

Yeah, the issue is due to the LG OLED panels. Had the similar issue of smearing of black color on Pixel 2 XL that uses the same screen. If they know all the faulty phones are ones that use LG made panels, why are they still investing in them and let the customer gamble?

I took the plunge over a year ago with the mate 10 Pro and LOVE it. There are things like the IR Blaster that you simply won't find on ANY other flagship phone of this caliber. I can't say enough good things about this phone- the battery is phenomenal as well. If you're in the fence, make the jump- you won't be disappointed!

The only con I have is the temperamental finger print sensor, Its far too inconsistent for my liking.
I heard "training" your fingerprint again in the settings makes it a lot more consistent on the Mate 20 Pro.

Some say the more you unlock it, it gets faster cuz it's "learning", which means it gets faster over time.

US carriers will not sell them. So, will average Americans in the US buy them? Nope. But they are huge among the Chinese, and they are pretty popular at colleges. As for carrier compatability, it will not work on Verizon or Sprint, but AT&T supports them no problem, and T-Mobile kind of does. T-Mobile is an interesting case because they are a GSM carrier but they use some weird cell bands that make it so they aren't the same as everyone else.

@@ASSamiYT Basically Huawei has another business in creating 5g networks for countries. Possibly even ahead of any US company. The reason for this is that Huawei is backed and subsidized in some ways by the Chinese Government.
The concern is that Huawei would create backdoors in their phones and networks for the Chinese Government. It hasn't been proven but... ZTE did it for sure so it's certainly possible.

How's the battery? Trying to get a get guage on claims fast charging kills the battery. Almost 4 years seems to prove otherwise.
