I figured that is what it was. I laid a new one and an old one side by side, then I just put it where to old one lined up when compressed to make the new one match. It did look a little taller. I also laid a new and old shock side by side without the spring on either of them. The new ones were definitely a bit longer than the original. About the thickness of the bolt for the bottom.
@@jamesofalltrades479 It raised it a little. Mine looks a little higher from the front then the back now. But pretty close to being level on the same placement of the ring. Mine is also on the 3rd.

Great Video! I just installed these on my 2015 Pro4X. Only been a few days. Running great so far. Have you heard of any issues since you installed them?
Used Titan or used Tundra? Any ideas on the two for a used truck model and year? If I bought a Tundra it would not depreciate too much with mileage, so I may buy the bullet and get a new one. Need some honest advice.
Hey Ben, I am sorry but I have never owned either. I am a Chevy guy. If I had to pick one, Titan, I simply like the way they look vs Tundra. Nissan seems tougher, Tundra seems more comfortable. What I do know is that I will never buy a brand new vehicle no matter how much money I have. There is too many great used vehicles for half the price that are just as good as a new one. That is a personal decision for each person to make when making a vehicle investment. When I bought my newest truck 2015 Silverado, a year ago, I researched towing capacity of Ford-Dodge-Chevy because that is what mattered to me along with fuel mileage, comfort and appearance. I like the way Chevy looks the most so I bought it. You are the one that has to drive it daily so be sure you will enjoy the driving experience. As far a depreciation, I don't worry too much about, it is what it is. I am going to use my vehicle in the way it was intended, like a truck. I don't want to be scared to use it to its potential when I need it. I feel a new truck would just make me paranoid all the time of a simple scratch and I don't want to live like that.
@@jamesofalltrades479 The prices are way to high for a new truck. If I got one I would make sure my brother had one first. He needs it and a modification for his wheelchair. I just need something that runs right and can haul when I need it to. Good advice.
Buying new definitely Toyota Buying used a Titan for the deal. Trucks though in general are rather expensive. How new are you going? For Titan I'd say at least 2010 but not sure when I think 2012 they got a slight redesign and go for the PRO4X overall personally.
Do you have part number for those front shocks? I found some online but it says they are for a AWD titan, mine is RWD only, do you think I could still use them?
Esau, I am sorry but no I do not have the part number. As long as they are close to the same length and mounting, I would use them. The guy I did these for had bought these shocks 2 years before I did the job. They had just been sitting in his garage. He did say that it was difficult to shop for the shocks. I think the following link is to the shocks I have in the video. You can also just buy the whole strut assembly and skip all the work of switching out the spring. The first link is to just the Bilstein shocks and the second is to the completed strutt. I have bought many parts from Detroit Axel and never had any problems. Bilstein # 24-197649 Front Shocks, 46mm I also had to do some prying. This is my second set. I might consider going to the middle ring if I feel like going through the BS again.
Hey Mark, yea, you are the second person in as many weeks to say something about the music. I don't like it either. My future videos will have much less if any at all. It's hard to find music without a copyright without paying a lot.
Yes sir, I completely agree with you. I cringe when I watch some of my videos from a while ago. I have since gotten better at making my videos. I don't use music very much anymore because my confidence has improved. I sincerely apologize for the terrible taste in music.
Thanks for the video! Definitely helped me with my install
Your most welcome! Thanks for watching it! Be safe out there man.
Nice Job! Bilsteins are excellent!
Thanks Nebal! Glad you liked it!

dude that's the highest setting, you just gave the springs more preload and leveled the truck, good video though

So i can level my truck (04 Titan) with these shocks? Without the leveling pucks?
@@tim9928 It will level your truck to a certain extent. I am not sure if it would be the same as a leveling kit but would for sure raise the front.
