Nothing wrong with downsizing. I totally agree with you when it comes to children's safety. We waited until our children were eight or above before we got into having some very big animals on our property.
Oh no, I absolutely adore your pigs. Most people don’t have that type of pig. Can’t you just keep them penned up real well until your wee ones get older? At least you plan on getting them again in the future. Just love those pigs and their ears ❤
We are planning to keep a couple that we can have penned WAY out in the pasture for the time being. We are DEFINITELY looking forward to getting more again though!
Goodness 😊 I just love your farm! So many beautiful and well cared for animals 💕 I'm sorry to see the piggies go, but definitely best to keep your little people safe 😊💕
I'm so sorry, but I love that you are so willing to pivot. I know you love your Meishan pigs and keeping them. I love that the kids can be out and exploring in safety. It is hard to let go of any animal, especially when you have worked so hard with infrastructure, etc. Looking forward to seeing what is next for you and the family!
Always had that pounded into my head when I was a kid in 4-H. Horses can be the most gentle, bomb-proof (which isn't actually a thing) kind nags, but they're 1000 pounds easy, and them just turning around can knock you off your feet if you aren't paying attention. My goats are gentle but they all have horns and there's no way I let kids be in with them without me. Great video!
Very sweet.. you did great. Yes children should be first and safe. Sorry about the pigs 🐖.
We are definitely looking forward to when we can have them again one day. ❤️

Looking at how our 7 and 9 year olds behave around our animals, I think 8 is a really good age to start with the bigger animals!

It is certainly hard, but we know it is for the best, and it is just for now.

So true! With animals that big, you just have to be on guard. Even with the sweetest ones, a bad situation turns into a BAD situation quickly!
Bye Are those your boys as well? ❤❤❤
They are! We have 5 young kiddos - 2 girls and 3 boys.
