Just wanted to update that I've cleared the Crystal Tower quests now, so I'm off to the royal banquette in Ul'Dah! :D (Which I suspect is gonna go to hell, considering the shady stuff going on in the background, but oh well. Multiple expansions left after this one though, so I'll probably live). xD
As someone who gets really bad anxiety, I want to thank you for the guides. I try to prepare as much as possible any time group content comes up (crafting my own potions and food, doing research etc.) because the idea of weighing people down really bothers me. Focusing on the parts that actually matter makes it so much easier to retain everything, and it shows. Wish my npc squadron could do the same lmao
I like the idea of these guides! So much of the A Realm Reborn and Heavensward content has guides that are 10 years old or majorly outdated. Looking forward to seeing more.
My favorite thing in the Red Dragon add fight is seeing someone in the crowd get the Cauterize marker and everyone scatter 😂 The snapshot for that attack is so much earlier than the actual swoop animation, be prepared to just eat the minor damage and knockback if you're unlucky :')
If you like going blind, then never feel pressured to ruin that. As a dps you have 14 other dps to help; as a healer you’ve a co-healer to help; as a tank just keep your stance off for the first two rounds of your 1/2/3 combo so that the other tanks get a nice aggro lead. And, if you’re really worried, just pop a “first time, so I don’t want to MT” in alliance and the other tanks will take over. The thing I like about Scrub’s guides is they don’t spoil the story. So they’re a good compromise for players who want to know the mechanics, but not the story. Personally, I love going in blind, but there’s nothing wrong with being prepared if that’s your jam. And a single death or mistake won’t wipe an entire alliance raid. That’s a team effort lol
@Queen_Zora thanks for the advice 🙏 , I've completed endwalker and honestly I don't mind going in blind for alliance anymore, it's actually more fun blind lol
3:42 hey tanks! You can invuln this if you want to scare your healers, lol (well, not you, Paladin. Your fancy invuln means your healers probably won’t notice lol)
You always have guides for the fights i need guidance on… but regrettably I find the delivery style to be a bit difficult to say the least. I’ve tried slowly them down to 0.75x but sadly even that’s not enough for me. Somehow the speed, the accent, and the general delivery make it really hard for me to get much out of your guides. I hate that, I would love to be able to use them. I’m sure they’re helpful to a lot of people, wish I was one of them. :/
it is indeed a lot for people like me with audio processing disorder. had to slow things down a lot, turn on CC, repeat sections and write everything down just to digest it lol
I didn't know you wanted a slower paced 15 minute guide that is over explained so you could listen along at a pace to your liking. Don't know where you should start looking but I hope you find what you want.
At 3:00 while I'm not 100% certain, I do think the burning raves are baited on the furthest players from the boss. I've either had stupidly consistent rng in being chosen or they will pick I think the 3 furthest players. I tend to run away from boss as soon as levitate attack is done and 9 times of 10 I'll have a circle under me afterwards.
I think you've just been unlucky. If you actually look at the timestamp that you've given, I'm the furthest player away from the boss and I don't have an AoE.

You are single handedly maintaining the GAD player base.

Thanks for the help, I really like your videos short sweet and to the point with no BS. Bravo 👏
After going in blind in my first alliance raid I refuse to go in blind again and not know what to do and perhaps cause everyone to wipe 😅
I felt this in my soul

Love how Aussies pronounce ‘here’ like ‘heaaaa’. It’s cute.
I have finally reached this point in my msq. (Deep breath after +30 queue to get in).
Let's go. ÒwÓ
Thank you so so so much

Out of curiosity, does reading the transcript help?
try speaking at a reasonable pace!
