Outstanding review (as always) of what looks like a fantastic speaker, though I'm still surprised every time I see that Satori WG tweeter - I don't think anyone else sells a naked Be dome, for good reason. They really need a grille on it. If SB doesn't do it I hope Alan considers doing something like TAD does on their Be concentric drivers (grille over the whole thing with a scrim behind it). One aspect of the performance you touched on briefly that especially impressed me is the vertical directivity - what hole there is points down to the floor! Moreover, the response above axis looks good enough to easily pass the sit-stand tonality test if you place them at seated ear level (most stands are too short, but another pet peeve for another day...).. That's just exceptional control of the forward lobe.

I'd spent a long time trying different speakers, and the ones I liked most in the past always made something specific stand out in a piece of music that I really liked, usually it would be an instrument that would get my attention. But these speakers nothing stands out within music, everything just sounds awesome and I feel like I can just listen to music more and not focus on what the speakers are accentuating.

Do you get that visceral 'kick' from them and a sense of the real fullness in the notes? Do they have the dynamic range to play a movie at reference (I'm assuming you have decent amplification that isn't the limiting factor)?
