Out of all the Warwick body shapes I love the Streamer the best! I just wish they would offer a five string Streamer with 17.5 string spacing. 16.5 is just too narrow.
I really dont understand, why 5 people have disliked it? Can they do by their own hands, in their worshops OR are they trying to maintain Yin and Yang?
Indeed machinery helps to increase quality of guitars they do finish and all of processes of making by hand when craftsmanship is necessary for the best quality. in fact cuting body and neck by hand is not matter when cnc can do it better .these bass are at same time handcrafted and modern!

The plastic cover for cavity of controllers is not bad but in a high-end bass i want exotic wood for it and even for covers of pickups (atleast metal cover)!
Just bought my first Warwick online yesterday... Was a bit scared I might get hosed, since it was $500ish for a used bottom-end Streamer. Seeing vids and reviews, though, I can't WAIT to get it plugged in!
Update: So there was a rattle in the head stock and way high string action... Loose tuners. So, I go to tighten them, and one doesn't... D: A replacement tuner was only 16 bucks, and nicer than the factory tuners! Suffice to say that now I gotta swap all the hardware to black, and the tuner knobs to some of their wood options. :O
I don't mean to sound bitter, but I've been playing bass for 30 years, and I still play the bars every weekend. And I can not, have not and never will be able to afford a Warwick. So I have to pretend I'm satisfied playing Fenders. Don't get me wrong- I love my Fenders, but Warwick's are like having a Ferrari in the garage. The only difference is I could make money with a Warwick, and sound so much more awesome if I had one. Oh well, dream on...
They aren't that crazy expensive I bought a nice 4 string fretless... German made .... fantastic sounding holds tune great Now if you want the super pretty neck through it's a bit more pricey but used is a great way to pick up a dream machine for your Bass garage

I know what you're thinking but honestly having the ability to so accurately machine expensive woods like Warwick uses really is the best way. And as you can see there is substantial hands-on work as well the machines really only do the cutting. Being able to consistently create beautiful basses with precision is very important especially considering how famous Warwick has gotten in the last decade alone. It really is a benefit. They can crank them out fast obviously as well.
Your basses are beautiful, the woods are beautiful but just finishing is done by hands; there are luthiers that use far fewer machines than you and who themselves can say "handcrafted" !
Whether or not the basses are made well, the point of saying handcrafted is to give people the understanding that someone used hand tools to make these. To make them the same every time by hand tools is the skill that they're trying to sell. Besides, who wants the same instrument as someone else? If mine is slightly off than yours it means I have something of my own from the same company. which is way more valuable to me
is my idea or the bass man of Waggaki Band, the famous japanese rock band is using a Warwick bass guitar? i say it cos i saw that in this.... this.... pornographic presentation, i saw a bass with lights in the handle at the minute 9:30 to 9:46, and i saw this guy with a bass guitar with lights in the handle, maybe he is using a Warwick bass in his setup
+paleviolent For some reason they didn't show that bit. Things like laminating, gluing bodies together, preparing necks and such is done by hand. And of course all electronics and finishing.
I understand the process, yet they should've emphersize more on that part to actually acknowledge their hard and awesome works! its like neglecting all of the statement with the way they show it.
Sanding is the most nasty, noisy, time consuming and horrible part, of building an instrument, and it has to be a perfect job, or it will show, on a neck through even more of a pain to do. Saying that machines are doing all the work really isn’t fair.
+Rj Bron warwick is one of the best bass guitar makers in the world. With more innovations stock in couple of years than fender did for these 60 years... Moreover good or bad sound is matter of opinion
+Dima Medvednik --- I didn't compare Warwick to Fender. Warwick's fretless basses have average tone generally (really not that different than a cheap Chinese bass). Listen to a Wal Fretless to understand what great tone is.
You mentioned functionality. Actually warwick is awsome in functionality. The tone is really a subjective opinion and no one in the world can't argue about what tone is better. Especially youtube or any review video bcause the recording equipment is never the same.
I plays the orange bass guitar(3:09) in IKEBE. I bought it because it was a very good sounds!
These guitars are some of the most beautiful things I've ever seen!
"handcrafted" immediately shows machines doing the work
The CNC machines are far more accurate than a human could ever be. Hand sanding, finishing, etc. is what they mean.
i'm just sayin it was funy how that was the first thing they showed
This is not handcrafted. Period.
