@CGDive Man, you're a real legend. Your tutorials are gold. You've done tutorials on humans, quadrupeds, birds, reptiles. It would be possible to rig an octopus: it would be incredible. Keep your videos coming.

Amazing video as always!!! I would like to see a first person rig compatible with game engines, I don't know if ARP is a good choise to rig arms and legs only for FPS games. Thank you so much for these tutorials!!!!
Hi! I tried following your tutorial but I came upon an issue, and it is that when i move the front legs of my creature the arm twists, how can i solve it? Thank you! Awesome tutoeial btw!
thank you for this, Auto Rigg has always been a challenge for me like Riggify, strangely enough whenever I try to follow along with the tutorials on my end they always dont work
Hello, how can we do a stretchy arm like an elastic that moves like a tentacle but without pulling the other bones when we move one, sorry if it’s not very clear but I would really like to know that
Hi @CGDive, I don't know if you'll even get to see this but I have to try, I need a tutorial or at least a dumb down level on how to properly rig and weight painting the eye lids with Auto rig pro, I have been stuck with this for months, I tried following following your auto rig full body tutorial but yo didn't dell much on the eyelids, and you used a realistic character, mine is stylised so the proportions are a bit different, I will really appreciate your Assistance on this, i would have used rigify, but u dont know how to retarget with rigify, Thank you.
Hi Cgdive, could you please do a video on workflow blender to charector creator using faceit and ARP to do facial animation in charector creator.tried using faceit and generated shapekey but when import the charector in CC4 it is not working tried multiple ways. Only one way it is working 1.after actor core rigging the charector imported the charector in CC4 then exported with shapekeys impoted in blender did the shapekey modification using sculpt mode then it is working, but when you use faceit charector itself not importing into cc4
I was wondering how a functioning tail on a Cat girl would be in the way the bones will be set up and the way it'll move once it's animated. Is that a tutorial you'll be interested in making?
Come to think of it, ARP has a "sticky lips" option, at least for human faces. Do you have any idea how that works under the hood? Some combination of constraints I suppose?
24:53 when i'm in data properties i don't have the skeleton folder with Layers...so i can't select bones and rigg at the same time.... ca someone help ?
Great tutorial and very well presented. Question, when I go edit > vertex then Item, I don't see Vertex weights to set the values manually. Do i need to enable annything? Thanks.
what if I want to rig multiple characters in the same file. explain: I finish the number 1 character with auto rigging, and bind it, then I add another auto rigging for the number 2 character but there is an error, when I bind it, number 2's rig became the number 1's rig, and now it all mess up.
Interesting, do you have a video for setting the arms to FK permanently? I have experimented by turning off the build options, but I still get IK after "Match to Rig." Is the build for FK in a secret spot?@@CGDive
Your videos are are helping me understand Rigging in Blender, Thank you for posting the answer to my questions. I'm new to Blender...Sometimes it takes me a while to understand.@@CGDive
@@hotsauce7124 As I said, you will always get IK and FK in the final rig. However, once you have your final rig, go to Tool and switch the arms to FK and don't switch them back to IK. That's the solution, I think it is fairly good one :) I show how to switch IK/FK right here: ua-cam.com/video/qzDZMUeTtt8/v-deo.html
It is almost impossible to help you based on the info you provided (basically, "it doesn't work"). But since you say "non responsive" maybe your mesh is too high-poly and binding takes a long time and even crashes before it can finish.
I'm sorry to correct you, but aside from those 3, people would only go for velociraptors or the little ones with winged-cheecks, totaling at least 4 dinosaurs, which gives a 75% coverage on your tutorials, not 80% or 90%. Jokes aside, thank you for the tutorial.
@@CGDive thanks, dude! I bought your Rigify course before and I'm totally in love with it! Just curious how ARP works compare to our Rigging god “RIGIFY” 🧎

wow, thanks for the kind words!
Eagerly awaiting the video with heavy, 4 legged dinosaurs 😀
Definately going to try out your leg setup. Maybe theres a way to keep controll over the foot, either indirectly or by adding a custom controller.

Not sure about that since I don't use cc but I'll consider it.

Yeah, most likely copy Location. So when you want the sticky lips you enable the constraints and disable them when you want to open the mouth.

You have to have vertecies selected.

For a dinsour? Not yet.
How come when i add the first bone the menu with edit shape disappears?
Nice one, will try it for sure

I am not sure why that happens. Binding two characters shouldn't be a problem.
Created snake rig bone add curve please
Wow Amazing❤
Dude you'r the best. Very interesting watch your video. Maybe you will show mechanics rig (robo-rig). It will be great. Cheers from Ukraine!
I saw this video at just the right time, it just so happens that Auto-Rig is free on Blender Market today.
Yep, check my latest video haha
When you press "Match to Rig" how do you build an arm without IK?
You can't. You can switch it to FK and forget about the IK though. I don't think it gets in the way at all. Does it?

Use the dedicated Auto-Rig Pro export function.
