As a viewer, the lack of podcasts and vlogs has made it difficult to be a 'fan'. Not because your work isn't awesome, but the Reaction videos feels like a very surface-level corridor aimed at the general public (which is totally cool for what it is). The thing that drew me to Corridor when I was a young lad 10+ years ago and inspired me to start a media company (we're up to 4 full-time employees!) was the genuine and unscripted vlogs of a bunch of bros making fun films and overcoming obstacles in the moment. It was partially about the cool VFX and wild short films, but it was mostly comradery that differentiated it from "Hollywood Sets". I know things change but I miss the spirit of Corridor/BrandonJLA vlogs. Making Of: Series, whatever the fuck "Pbtfbthbpbpthbp" was, Swinging an Axe into the wall, and especially Clint not knowing how to file taxes. Maybe those aren't viable anymore and we understand, but losing the podcast was the final relic of the Dobey Jank charm imo. Big fan of Tiny Guns 3, Offensive bowling, and Son of Dungeon Series. Without these big series, there are no vlogs. - Tristan of Triflix (Still a big fan)
Amendments as I get farther in the podcast: - Ting Guns 3 and it's corresponding BTS were amazing and very much in the spirit of the old vlogs imo. - I was unaware of Sam's breakdown videos and the shenanigans that went into making them, it would be a good YT push to the website if more people knew. - I still search for "Corridor Digital" on UA-cam when I want to find that channel - I don't think people mind if the podcast is about things that you find interesting (onewheels)
I owe so much to you guys, I honestly don’t think I would have a job in film and TV if it weren’t for your videos. I’ve been here since the frozen crossing, it’s crazy. Nice to hear you guys experience burn out just like the rest of us
I have missed your lovely voices! Thank you once again for keeping me company while I work! I admire and appreciate your choice to be so attentive to the details of your craft and business.
As far as SoD, I enjoyed the story! Of course, I loved watching the fruits of all of your hard labor! Although, I have actually listened to the videos far more than watching them.
I noticed the new format and enjoyed it. Yes it's a bit spread out more but I can see the effort and have been enjoying the content so far this year. Keep up the good work and mental health
Famished and starved, I lay on the cold stone floor of the dark and desolate dungeon with only the sound of dripping stones and the howl of winds outside the thick brick wall. - Heavy footsteps reign down the steps to just right outside the dungeon door before a large silhouette fiugure busts the heavy wooden door as if it were straw, then a man steps foward seemingly wearing a large bear as a fur pelt, its Jake Watson! With a steep and bellowing voice he utters "Corridor Podcast is back" and threw a burlap sack of burnt bread ends to sasiate my hunger, alas all is restored.
38:50 I think with Son of a Dungeon, I would definitely be willing to watch a lower production value version. I think your personalities and edited storytelling matters more to me. I think just a Livestream wouldn't have the flow that I enjoy. But losing the VFX would be ok.
To answer the question about Son of a Dungeon, I do agree that it’s the special effects that makes it stand out, but I do think it could be scaled back. As a person that really enjoys the miniature battles of say Dimension 20, if you were able to use your skills to have cool transitions etc or work with HeroForge digital models etc to just add an extra level that no one else can.
Personaly, I've suscribed to the Corridor Crew channel before subscribing to the Corridor Digital channel because I enjoyed watching the chemistry of the crew, the shenanigans, the little jokes. Then I've suscribed to the website for the vlogs or dailies because you've took them out from Corridor Crew.
I'm definitely one of the website subscribers that has no qualms with no exclusive content. I don't want you guys to overwork making content for 2 platforms. I think delayed release would be the best compromise.
@@rodom303Likely not enough revenue from it that translates to excess budget and they likely see it as part of their main revenue stream as they diversified from yt. I'm glad you're at least talking about the website issues and are trying to work on it. I look forward to seeing where you guys are in a year or so. Hopefully it works out. :)
Son of a dungeon season 3 idea MoveAI has a markerless motion capture solution that can be used in real time. Yall have a big green screen studio. You could run an UNREAL env in real time with a series of vfx and particle things pre set up and just act it out live as your characters are on screen doing the thing in the game. Sam could rig it up.
First off, I couldn’t comment on the website. 😢 I am one who canceled my youtube premium just to subscribe to corridor website. Most of the content I am feed on youtube anyway is not great. I usually have to do a google search for a youtube video. Cant search on youtube itself. 😊 Glad you guys are keeping it interesting. So glad Freddy W content put me onto Sam and Nikos stuff.
Glad to hear from you guys. On the topic of video games/streaming, I would love to see you guys react to the Corridor Digital Halo Infinite map I built. I know Niko saw the ViDoc. The PvE mission is a blast. But I’d also like to mention I’ve been impressed at Niko and Sam’s involvement with the Corridor reddit. On top of running the company, I see you guys commenting very often on posts and being involved with the community 👍
I originally subbed for Sun of a Dungeon - then, I found Corridor Cast, which introduced me to the awesomeness of Corridor and the people there. I had gone back and watched so much of the older blogs and 'casts, and really missed them when they stopped getting updated here. SOAD Season 3 with some lower effort visuals would be awesome! It's really the players, characters, and story telling that I go back and watch Season 1 and 2 for. I also appreciate the effects and table setup, they add a lot to the presentation, but if creating all of that is breaking the studio, find a middle ground of effort/quality and try that out.
wow - great to hear y'all were able to reset kinda - I can imagine in my mind now why these past 4 years y'all churned out gold. It was some crazy months y'all made hit after hit.

son of a dungeon - I rewatched your original TTRPG videos multiple times. If SOAD would be just you guys sitting there having fun with the RPG I would still love it
I think the WAN Show format is great, I rarely listen to the whole thing but will put on nearly every weekly clip when I’m driving or cooking. Happy to see the podcast back
Glad you guys are back! MN homeboy here. Could you guys roast/analyze some recent commercials/ads? Figi and Samsung come to mind. Keep going! I love everything you do.❤ PS... Mind blown in the Portal Shithole
As a new viewer, I love all the shenanigans videos, VAR, Crew Cuts, anything with Wren’s science, farts, Sam videos. Loved Rock Paper Scissors, and Grey Matter 1&2. you know, taking breaks, not having time to do the podcast is all fine, and I'm glad to see you realize that before getting burnt out. But jesus, Nico, communication is the #1 thing that will keep your audience invested in what's happening. Just a simple "Hey, we're currently stretched thin and don't have time to record and produce a hour long podcast. It'll be back at some point though" would have lost you at least 20% less audience. I'm only here because someone talked about the podcast under the portal video.

Here’s an idea for the dnd show: Let the community of artists around the channel animate certain key shots of the shows. No style guides. You shoot the show, you edit it, you spot the time slices that would be awesome to show something more, and then give each shot to people who already said they wanted to participate. The end result would feel like video game shortcuts, where at the end of a grind, a cool animation comes and gives your a carrot at the end of the road. As a viewer it would be awesome to see how different artists give shape to different steps of the journey. I’m thinking 5-15 second reel that replace the video while the voices stays constant. One thing that the internet gives that is very weird to feel, is that I've been here since I was a kid in school. Now I have grey hairs, just like you all... But the thing I always held on very high regard and that always kept me here, was that I saw growth while growing. You always evolved and used your steps to teach others. And your transparency in this episode is a sign that you have good hearts and want to do the right thing. Keep going. I never gave you a single dime besides my time, and that feels unfair due to the amount you teach, for that I'm sorry but not super wealthy out here. Still, I hope you take gratitude as coin and that your business thrives going forward 🫡
I wouldnt mind more son of a dungeon, it wasnt the cgi and all that flare that made it good for me. It was the story and the characters. Seeing you guys have fun is always enjoyable.

Would you guys ever think about doing something like Clints render challenge but as a short film competition? Provide some random elements you have to include, use it as a chance for the audience to interact and be part of the channel. I think one of the best parts of the offensive bowling series or other "watch at the end content" is not necessarily the content you make, its how you guys react to it and how happy it makes you. Being a short film contest, we get to be part of the community and you guys dont have to take time away to make content to react to as a group. You could even short list it and then producer points vote for the best one. Anyway, just an idea :)
Wren should bring some Between the Games energy to corridor. Just a little bit. As he was an OG roosterteeth fan. Idk if he ever watched that show but the bit about the holy sack really made me think of that.
The next evolution of Son of a Dungeon is VR. All the players have a vision pro headset, and move around in the Unreal Engine dungeons in realtime, wearing full VR models. Sam and the minion interns he recruits will fly invisibly around getting the best camera shots, and play the actual NPCs. The tech you develop for it, the plugins, or even just the research gathered, all of that you could probably sell to some company. Virtual tabletops is an industry, but VR RPGs is the next level.
