LOL its all good brother! The Best 3D program is the one you are the most comfortable with. I use 3ds Max because I code in it, makes life ALOT easier.

Yea everytime someone wants to have that debate, i dont even bother. I it boils down to, which program can you get the most done in the shortest amount of time if you had too. Then that is the best program for you!

Anja Aleskari when you're actually working on stuff, you can do a software preview which basically matches the c4d viewport. Once you're ready for a render, switch to "full render" from the plug-in and you'll get a real time render from c4d right in the ae viewport!! The tech is called Cineware and it's really sweet :D

Corridor Crew Cmike can you guys make a separate Cinema 4D tutorial series as Wren and you guys learn how to use it? And general tips for animation and rendering (meaning removing all the shenanigans you guys usually do obv). Make a different playlist for that and I wouldn't mind watching even 10 mins of sponsored content.
This was one of the best Audible spots that I've seen. :)

Since it doesn’t have support like C4D, he will stay away from it like the plague.
Blender is still at least 10 years away from being anythign decent. It has improved, but it's development and UI improvements take forever and it's features are never on the same level as the professional tools.
MAGA MAN Actually, Blender 2.8 is an incredible piece of software... I use Maya, and even I’m considering jumping to Blender. It’s *actually* being innovative.

One thing that is totally underrated in regard to C4D is the documentation that is available from within the software in my opinion. It is very detailed, easily accessible from anywhere via a right click and well thought out.

Blender is good but the UI is way too frustrating
There are many things that are free and unpopular. Being free is a factor but not the only factor. Also I think the UI being bad is a matter of opinion because I don't see it that way. There are limitations on all the programs and yes even Blender is comparable.
Cinema4D is cool but way too expensive for hobbyists. Fusion360 and Blender for the win.

Karl Beltran fusion is free, if you use the correct licence, which is the hobbyist license or something like that.
The struggle of learning a new program is real haha I hate that beginning part when your SUPER EXCITED AND PUMPED to start making stuff with this new program. Then the huge realization this is gonna take a LOTTTT of getting use to haha!

I've read everything Sanderson has written except for the Alcatraz series haha... Mistborn/stormlight/warbreaker multiple times.
I have not found anyone who also read the mistborn secret history, There was some awesome stuff in there with kelsier and hoid.

Omg, so I first got into Brandon Sanderson's books when Wren first talked about Mistborn. And let me say, I'm HOOKED!!! Sanderson is now my favorite author hands-down, and I'm working on reading all of the books he's writen!!

Cinema 4D is probably the easier 3D program to learn, Blender, 3dsmax etc are quite a bit harder from what I've heard.
If you want hard to work with try learning Houdini while in full time secondary education. I know a decent bit of blender so that makes sense to me and there are no transferrable skills.

Josif Staljin Last I used was 2.7, and it wasn’t easier at all. If 2.8 has changed many things to make it simpler, then I will agree.
@@NazoVidere yes 2.8 is so much easies and the new 2.82 has more realistic smoke sims with mantavlow even tho i perfer the old one also there is a new real time render engine EEVEE
As much as I love blender (great modelling tools, it’s free), for smoke sims and all sims I use Houdini. Blender simulations tools are really, really bad. Especially smoke. I recommend embergen too! And you not need paid Houdini version, because you can use non commercial and export vdb sequence to blender. For other animations and simulations you have to buy at least indie because of locked fbx exporter. But when I had only non commercial version I coded simple python program that took obj sequence and imported it as shapekeys. Altough it wasn’t perfect because vertex count couldn’t change

VideoPro blender is my favorite of the common ones. Its all personal preference and what you feel comfortable with. It's great cause it's free and has a massive useerbase with tons of add-ons made by the community to make it even better.
2.8 is coming out soon with a huge number of improvements
Blender is one of the best. 2.8 will be awesome and has nothing to be ashamed off.
VideoPro I like blender but it's also the only one I have experience with; from what I've heard it has a relatively steep learning curve though

Over complicated and over priced. You literally need an entire dev team to work with that software.
