That's a little odd thing to say. Is that supposed to suggest it's more difficult for a woman to learn to pilot something that realistically does not matter what's between a person's legs to be able to do? I mean...sure, it's cool, but I'd say that goes for any person that can fly this beautiful piece of machinery and not just a woman..
@@pilotmax That is why I hate flying especially the bumps in the air..turbulence...what should I do whe i fly captain? I have been grounded now for 4 years because I am scared to death of turbulence!!!
@@danielmorgan3590 Daniel.. Think of it the same way I once thought of rollercoasters. I was terrified of them. One day, someone asked when was the last time I had heard of a rollercoaster accident. 2:32 checking FLCTRLS without any EFIS indication? How did the Captain or FO know that every aileron, elevator and rudder were fully functioning? Ground crew with a thumbs up?
Hi ! There's no requirement to display the flight controls for the check. As from the boeing manuals, the flight controls checks is to ensure column and pedals freedom of movement and that the controls return to center. On the 737 for example it's the same procedure and we don't have a flight controls display so it's technically impossible to see the flight controls :)
@@ohownboy The 787 has the flight controls page yes, but it's normally not used. On the 737 the option exists to have the flight controls on the lower display but in my company we don't have that option on most of our 737's ;)

At least they insulate the pilots cabin from the noise that comes from them turbofans. Always remember captain to keep them hands on them throttles till after v1.
Other than the cameras are rolling, what is the value added in having the two HUDs extended at the stand, for pushback and taxi out? Perhaps Groundspeed indication and the Acceleration symbol? Do those two indications outweigh the visual distraction and the general “in the way” element of the combiner in view during those phases of the operation?
Francesc Hi ! There’s no pneumatic system on the 787, so no APU bleed and no engine bleed. Engines are started electrically, and the air for the pressurisation/packs comes from electrical compressors :)
@@pilotmax Uuooo, nice airplane! Yes, now that you say it, I think I heard in a documentary that the 787 had replaced a lot of systems for electrical systems (less weight). I didn't remember it.🤣😅😅 It's a really nice airplane! I love it! You've very lucky to fly it!👏🏼👍🏼😍😍😜😜
Your english is perfect ;) It is a very modern aircraft, composite fuselage, mostly electrical systems, very modern fly by wire and avionic, much better cabin environment than any older plane, lower cabin altitude, much less noise, a real pleasure to fly !
Yes that's correct, the only bleed air that still exists is in the engine for the engine anti-ice, but it's all contained in the engine, there are no other lines in the airplane. The APU and its generators is absolutely amazing ! I can't believe how much it can power, that's really crazy. The airplane lives from load shedding, it's nearly always shutting systems off you don't need unless both engines are running and you have the full electrical power available. During engine start, nearly ALL systems of the aircraft are load shed, except those you need at that stage of flight of course :) Also when you switch power from engines to APU or inversely, the airplane first shuts nearly everything OFF, then slowly turns systems back ON, you can hear that on the video when both engines have started, the cockpit is then very quiet and slowly you hear fans turning on again, lights flicking and everything goes back normal :)
