Been binging Grey's Anatomy for the past few weeks. I'm at mid way of Season 10 now, and I just wanna say that as much as I love the show, it's definitely dropped in few years. Especially considering on the drastic change in the cast.
I agree as well, I stopped watching the show after season 16 I think. The show is absolute GARBAGE now, I cannot stand the majority of the cast that is on there nowadays. I’m pretty sure the writers ruined GA once they killed off characters that everyone adored.🤪

I gave up on Grey's when they killed George but kept Izzy. The best speech, and there were so many good ones, was George explaining to Miranda Bailey why she had to deliver her baby. Although it is so close to Christine begging Chief to teacher her how he can do it without letting the emotions touch him. She will confess to everything if he will just teach her that. Christine talking to Meredith as she is on the verge of death, telling her she has to live because she is Christine's person
I guess it doesn't really fit the theme of most of these speeches, but my favorite is when Meredith is talking to the interns about how they should approach someone after their loved one has died. The pain in her voice of having just been the "wife to widow". The look on Owen's face behind her. And the resounding truth of her words: "That person isn't an inconvenience. They're not a box to be checked off." That, and when Arizona snaps at that doctor for complaining about not replacing the head of Neuro after Derek died.
Lexie‘s I love you speech to Mark will always have a special place in my heart. After the plane crash the show went downhill (or I personally just didn’t like it as much, or at all by now) Lexie was my favourite character by far, she was the best and so is her speech.

I like when Sydney Herron stands up to Burke and Christina in that necrotic flesh/amputation scene. She told them off and then had that little friendly tone at the end. I also liked Burke's wedding vows that he stated during surgery right before his wedding with Christina. His statement and Addison's reaction to it were golden.
Addison screaming “I want you to care” in Dereks face will never not make me cry. I felt so bad for her the entire time Derek and her tried to fix their marriage when Derek had clearly moved on and was just stringing her along because he felt obligated to try and be the good guy. And that speech hurts even more when you’ve seen Private Practice and see over and over how people Addison loves always chose someone or something else over her. Even her own parents. All she’s ever wanted was someone to choose her unconditionally and it’s heartbreaking that she went for so long until someone finally did.
I don’t know if I’m the only one but I didn’t like Izzy’s speech to Denny. She was trying to make a decision that wasn’t hers to make. She wasn’t anything to him except his doctor and she was trying to make him feel bad about wanting to die with dignity in his own way. She should have let him make his own decisions without getting herself involved
Thank you someone finally said it. As much as people praise this plotline and the season 2 final arch and part of me gets it, this speech was just too far. It's at this point my opinion of Izzie took a dive. They revisit this whole doctor falls for patient thing later and I actually like those takes better.
I totally get what you're saying but I think Izzie's speech to Denny was so realistic. Time ago I lived a similar situation and even when you don't tell THAT to the other person all you want is they don't give up. You constantly thinks that you wish they do it for yourself. Maybe is selfish, maybe isn't the best thing but that feeling is so so so real. And this is a tv show, Izzie won't let that speech for herself hahahaha :( and the way she says it is heartbreaking. Obviously, it was not ethical but I really thinks is something real

To me it just makes Meredith look desperate, plus I remember in an interview Ellen said saying that speech made her really uncomfortable. I liked the speech she made in a later season where she said she was picking and choosing herself over picking a guy after Derek dies
Sometimes I got sick of Meredith’s voice, so I didn’t really listen a lot to the beginning and ending of the episode but I did try cause I know it had to do with whatever was going on.
Grey's anatomy went from Pick me, choose me, love me to He's not the sun, you are. Watch for the toxic feminists, you don't want your show to be cancelled. although the line is thirsty af and feels extra cringe, not even Ellen Pompeo liked it.
