Man, the thing I remember the most about Princess Diaries is her character. She stole that movie for me, even though she was barely in it. My mom and I still quote her lines to this day. She just has such a way of making you notice her no matter what she is doing. Love her so much! She is incredible!
She played christina yang so well that in my mind sandra oh and christina aren't even the same people
I love how she says “i feel it” in every character she played. Its like her love at first sight
I never EVER thought of Yang as the antagonist.Idk if she was intended to be the antagonist by the makers.Maybe this is just the way Sandra perceived it.Regardless,Yang is one of my all time favourite characters in a series n I absolutely love the way Sandra played it
It was her impression after reading the pilot. She had no idea where the show would take those characters over countless seasons or if it would even make it past the pilot.
In the Pilot Yang and Grey were clearly meant as rivals. Only after the pilot they realized the potential of a grey/yang friendship:)
Yesss Ottawa representation I love it! She is wonderful and no one else could've played Christina Yang. No one!
her talking about acting is so mesmerizing. i could literally listen to her talking about acting for hours
I could listen to her talk for hours and days on end. She is so well spoken and intelligent about experiences in this industry.
The love and admiration I have for her is immense. Her mind is flawless.
This is such an intelligent discussion about acting. The way she explains the process and how she developed each character in her own way is so captivating. Love her!
Her role in The Princess Diaries made me fall in love with her. It was a small role, but she ATE. It was fantastic and no one else could’ve done it better than her.
i'm so grateful for sandra, she makes me feel so proud and happy to be asian, and she doesn't have any stereotypical asian roles, which felt like a such relief!
Rarely does a supporting character surpass the protagonist and becomes the heart and soul of a show and this is entirely thanks to Sandra’s incredible talent.
Cristina was the only reason I enjoyed the show for as long as I have
I’m glad that she remembers Sideways fondly despite the director and write being her ex husband. Still my favourite movie she was in.
That was a tremendous film, and she was amazing in it! Great ensemble cast!! I was working in fine dining then, and for real, Merlot sales took a hit LMAO!
sandra is so intelligent, talented and also beautiful it’s crazy
the way she just talks about her career, showing her passion; she is an AMAZING actress.
The passion that she has for acting just talking about it is CRAZZYYY ! This was a great interview
Sandra Oh is an amazing actress. I think I've enjoyed every role I've seen her in. Greys and Killing Eve among my favorites. She would be interesting to have a coffee chat with.
9:00 So beautifully said! The power of saying no is such a hard, but critical skill to learn and I am SO, SO, SO, happy that she did and we got Christina out of it! Absolutely love Sandra Oh! Killing Eve is one of my all time favorite tv shows!
I am obsessed with the way she carries herself, the confidence she exudes, and just the person she seems to be in general. She spoke about each individual role as though she was writing it a love letter, or giving it affirmations for its part and place in her life, and that is beautiful. If I had a dying wish to fulfill that allowed for me to meet any celebrity, I'd choose her to sit down and have a conversation over tea with.
Whenever I come across someome who truly loves their craft I get incredibly mesmerized. It is just so beautiful to see. I guess it is one of the highest forms of fulfillment there is. And Sandra oozes that. What an incredible woman!
I remember The Diary of Evelyn Lau like it was yesterday. It's a raw emotional film with some very difficult scenes, and despite being so young at the time, she had the talent and instinct to deliver perfectly. I'm not surprised she's gone on to great success.
I Loooove they way she talks about her craft! Also amazing what she said in the beginning about starting out as a lead role and then knowing what she could do! And omg the saying "No" part- Loved thiiiiis!!!
The way she speaks about her career is really thoughtful and interesting
She is so eloquent with her words and her hands. Love her!
I wish she spoke about Invincible here. I know it's a voice-over role but the way she delivered her character's lines had so much depth and it would've been wonderful to hear about that experience.
When her character broke down I could *see* her going through the facial/body language motions
I was expecting an Invincible mention too!
She was the reason I watched Grey’s. When she quit the series I quit watching Grey’s. I tried restarting it the other day. It’s not the same without her
same here, i feel like it all went downhill after she left, but i am happy that she was able to evolve and not be stuck there for so many years
For me it was Arizona and Callie. The writers broke them up and I stopped watching.
When they killed off Derek. Yang's departure hurt as well.
I knew Sandra Oh was an actor but when she said dramaturgy, I knew she was an ACTOR! No wonder she is so good.
She is so smart, well spoken, kind, and talented!! Love you Sandra Oh!!
She is so well-spoken and clearly has a very deep understanding of all of the characters she played. I love her so much!
Hello dear how are you
I love her. The way she speaks about her roles. You feel her passion for the art. It's not just acting for her, its art, its expression.
I respect her so. Freaking. Much. This is the kind of voice all novels and movies and artworks need to emanate. Oh my god, she just radiates power.
She's iconic in Grey's until she leave Grey's Anatomy and everyone wanted her back in Grey's. I'm glad she tell us about her career for everyone.
She doesn’t need to come back at all to the grey’s anatomy role ,
She is great where she belongs ,where she can put out
great tv shows or movies for us ( the big fans of Sandra oh )
We love her contents and the masterpiece she creates
Sandra Oh is one of my all time favorite actresses. I love how her passion for acting is so timeless. She is intensely serious and effortlessly funny at the same time.
Sandra Oh is such an inspiration. She was absolutely phenomenal in The Chair!
Please come back to grey's anatomy, 😭, I would have loved to see her to come back, Christina Yang is my favourite character
The whole interview was so profound, that is a well 14 minutes and 24 seconds spent. Thank you Sandra Oh for the lessons.
Hello dear how are you?
She is so beautiful and intelligent and her mannerisms are so compelling. The way she moves her hands. A genius.
I wish she talked about her role in Under the Tuscan Sun! One of my all time favourites. Her friendship with Diane Lane in the movie is so moving.
She's not a woman, she's a god.
Same thing :P
@Daniel Olivier It wasn't a criticism of your language ;) It was a reply to the original comment.
I am not a woman I’m a god
Bu...bu...but god is a woman
God is a woman
Even though when I see or hear the name "Sandra Oh" I think "Oh,Cristina" but now I know dang well she is more than just that character, she is a determined, amazing actress and person who will always inspire me.I love Sandra Oh.
Like everything she’s in, “The Chair” was just amazing!!! Great acting, the story felt real, very well told, and was obsessed with the relationship between the main characters and the dynamic with the kid. I encourage everyone to watch it ❤️
